Booked at last minute to attend a family gathering. within minutes i'd had a phone call to confirm booking and check bed type requirements. Our stay was short but lovely. The room was fantastic, everything you could need, lovely toiletries and a proper kettle with supplies. Had to leave very early morning but breakfast was available from 07:30 there was plenty of tea/coffee and toast together with good breakfast choices.

Set in stunning Northumberland countryside and its own scenic grounds, this privately owned, elegant 18th-century mansion is only 20 minutes’ drive from Newcastle Airport and the vibrant city centre. Each luxuriously furnished bedroom at the Close House features free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and marble-tiled bathrooms. Some rooms feature a spacious separate seating area and all have 24-hour room service. Guests can relax in the beautiful hotel grounds, while the largest shopping centre in Britain, The Metro Centre, is just under 8 miles from the hotel. Hadrian’s Wall is only a few minutes’ drive away, whilst Northumberland National Park is a 30-minute drive and Alnwick Castle is 50 minutes away by car. The No19 Restaurant source the best Northumberland produce. The Close House Hotel boasts two 18-hole golf courses, a state-of-the-art driving range, a golf academy and Lee Westwood as the attached Tour Pro.

Close House is privately owned and set in stunning Northumberland countryside. Located less than 8 miles from Newcastle airport, central Newcastle and Britain’s biggest shopping centre the Metro Centre, it’s the perfect venue for business, leisure and corporate guests. There are also picture-perfect grounds to explore, plus a multitude of attractions on our doorstep, including Northumberland National Park, Alnwick Castle, and Hadrian’s Wall. Our facilities include: complimentary high speed internet access, 16 luxurious appointed bedrooms, dine in our contemporary No19 Restaurant, open daily from 7am to 9.00pm which has some of the best produce Northumberland has to offer. In addition we also have 2 x 18 hole golf course, a state of the art driving range, golf academy and Lee Westwood as our attached Tour Professional.
Close House is located within 300 acres of parkland setting and is located just 15 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne city centre and Newcastle International Airport. We are positioned in an ideal location whether you are looking to visit Northumberland National Park and Hadrians Wall area or alternatively take in the shopping and attractions available in Newcastle upon Tyne
