Fantastic hotel. Great location and the water/ice facility is brilliant.
The location was absolutely perfect for our trip. We stayed at the hotel for a weekend-trip to London, and could not have picked a better location to stay at! Charing Cross underground station is merely 200m away, and lots of major attractions like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square obviously were all in walking distance! The room itself was pretty nice, nothing too fancy despite the price tag, but I guess this is London
Our room lacked a toilet brush initially. The airconditioning failed to keep our room cozy and warm. We talked to the receptionist about it, and he pledged to have someone look into the issue. That did not do the trick, though, the room never reached the displayed 25 degrees. Maybe due to the heat escaping through the (quite old looking) windows. At least the room offered an additional blanket.
While the room was very small and the carpet a little worn, every other aspect was great. I would stay there again for the location and price.
if location is top priority for hotel chosing, then go for this hotel without thinking.
White lighting no drinking water in the rooms.
Everything was lovely!
The only negative comment I would have would be that for the price of the room, refreshments in the room were poor - not enough milk, tea and coffee sachets or teaspoon :(
Location is excellent so close to Colleseum for ENO and other West End attractions. Friendly, relaxed but well informed reception team. Good wheelchair access. 2 Disabled parking spaces in nearby Whitehall Place.
Expensive - but typical for 4-star Central London hotel.
Super location for attending museums. Perfect internet.
There is no minibars in the rooms.
Location excellent. comfortable bed
We arrived back from a show at about 10pm on a sunday evening expecting to have a nightcap in the bar. The bar apparently doesn't open on a sunday evening! Poor for such a place I feel . Rather dated bedroom décor and furniture .
Ease of check in/out.
Room ok but small and over priced. Breakfast was poor for the price. Service at breakfast was poor, had to clear our own table, and still expected to pay a service charge. Had a much tastier breakfast elsewhere on day two for a third of the price, and a free smile. Won't be rushing back.
Fantastic location - gorgeous neighbourhood and walking distance from everything. The room was comfortable and the staff friendly. It was all about the little details: an umbrella in the closet, free water bottles by the lift. Upon our arrival late at night there was some unexpected construction noise from the building next door. As soon as we contacted the front desk they made sure it ceased and gave us complimentary breakfast, which was very kind of them. And the breakfast was lovely.
Location was excellent
No room service on breakfast was inconvient so had to go to pret a manger
All of it fab stay
Could not fault this hotel for anything! We will be definately returning to this hotel on our next trip to London!
Great location for Theatreland and West End. Friendly and efficient staff. Good room size.
Bathroom 'stuff' a bit skimpy. Tea and coffee basic.
Physical layout, location, quiet
No bathtub. Shower stall only. Stayed on a weekend and limited restaurant hours. Room large but dark as window faced a wall at close proximity.
Staff very courteous, nothing too much trouble. Rooms very comfortable, with extra tea, coffee and toiletries readily available at station in the corridor. Excellent location.
pricey--but then, that's London.
All the staff were so friendly and efficient, both reception & housekeeping. The location was great- so close for the West end and the National gallery. The room was fine, not too hot, and the bed was comfortable. It would have been nice if there had been a fridge.
Nothing really- only thing-I would have liked a bath as well as a shower, just to have a long soak after a long day!
Location was perfect!!
The hotel is certainly not 4 stars.. My room had a musty smell, which put me off my whole stay....
Staff were personable, room was comfortable, location was good and central.
A small safe in the room wouldn't go amiss
Very helpful & friendly staff. Excellent, spacious, clean & comfortable room. Pleasant décor in Bar and Restaurant areas with excellent service.
There was nothing to dislike.
We were attending private view at Mall Galleries, so very close for us. Rooms are spacious, even for three. Meal in restaurant delicious and could use taste card. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything accomodated for. Even cold water machine where you can get ice cold drinking water and bottles to take with you.
Gloomy, cramped, dated, rock hard bed.
