Nothing in the hotel was open ie restaurant, fitness room, bar.

The self checkin is wonderfully simple - one of the better I've used. Excellently placed - even though its central, v.quiet at the weekend. Comfy beds. Bottled water a nice touch

Old fashioned, badly in need of renovation, poor facilities and it felt like a 2 star B&B. Shockingly overpriced compared to other 4 star hotels in London. Absolutely cannot believe it has been awarded 4 stars! Will never return!

The hotel has great location (near tube stations) and the enviroment is nice. Small double room is comfortable in size and has good sound isolation towards the street. Easy check-in/check out, free coffee and tea both in room and lobby, as well as fresh filtered water are a nice perk. Everything was clean and nice. If you stay out late, during the night when the tube is closed, the location is easily reachable by bus (goes every 15-20 minutes from Oxford street).

Poor soundproofing inside the hotel. If you get 'blessed' with noisy neighbours (very drunk group of friends in our case) you can count on hearing everything that happens in the hall or in the rooms close to you. The interior of the hotel is a bit out of date, so if you expect 4* when it comes to decoration, don't :)

I have always loved the City.

After Friday evening nothing was open. I came to the conclusion that the area is for those who work in the area Mon-Fri, not for tourists.

We had a daughter running the Marathon and hotel was ideally located for her and our party of supporters.

Area was all but closed over weekend when City workers are not around.

Not realising VAT was too be added to the bill. Prefer to be told when I booked in.

Location excellent, just a couple of minutes from London Bridge, and monument tube. If you want it be in the heart of the city (Lloyds, Gerkin, Shard etc) its all within a few minutes easy walk.

Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, but chilled water available on all floors by the lifts, so not a deal breaker.

The young man on reception was very friendly and helpful. Even though we arrived before check in time he did his best to find us a room that was ready. He was also very helpful with direcrtions and where was best to eat.

The positive attitude and presence of the receptionist guy, who even took care of luggage... :)

The restaurant closed eraly in the evening, breakfast too expensive and poor service and quantity, like in a small personal kitchen fridge....
