Everything! Lloyd and his wife provided the most wonderful memorable stay of our one month UK stay. Their immense warmth, friendliness and attention to detail was unsurpassed. The food was simply delicious and we were actually sad to leave as our stay was so special. Highly recommended!
Very lovely accommodations. Nice location and grounds. I enjoyed my room very much, a lot of thought went into the details of the room. The food was tasty, I particularly enjoyed the breakfast options.
Although I was welcomed as I arrived I am usually able connect more with my hosts and would have enjoyed more interaction. A bit pricey overall, especially the food, but in all fairness I did know that when I booked my room. The food was quite good but I was expecting amazing for the price.
Beautiful quiet location, staff was friendly
a bit away from town, expensive
The meals were excellent as was accommodation Staff very nice and helpful
The steep climb to hotel not for the infirm but lovely once you got there
Beautiful place, very friendly owners, dinner and breakfast delicious and lots of choice. Room was spacious and very comfortable, home made fudge in our room upon arrival, so delicious it was gone in no time!
Excellent dining experience. LLoyd is not only an enthusiastic and amusing host and chef, the outcomes of his work are of very high quality.
Our room was warm and comfortable but did not match the quality of the public spaces.
Food was superb. the chef made a special vegetarian dish for my daughter which was outstanding.
Felt a little rushed over dinner.
Staff - excellent! Breakfast
Other people's inconsiderate parking - marked bays might be better
Staff and food excellent
Wonderful breakfasts and welcoming touches such as fresh milk and home baked sweets in room. Very welcoming hosts. Lovely part of town. 10-15 min walk to centre. Next time will make a point of eating in restaurant!
Nothing to dislike at all, but I felt hotel reception area did not do the hotel justice. It does however advertise itself as 'a restaurant with rooms' so perhaps this is why.
The two rooms that we had were exceptionally spacious and immaculate. Great attention to detail, even down to the fresh milk for tea in the room being supplied in a small flask, so that is was usable the next morning. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and the food, all prepared by the owner himself was exceptional - he is so passionate about it was a pleasure to listen to him describe what he had cooked. We would highly recommend this hotel for a fabulous gastronomic experience.
We new we'd love our stay from the moment we walked in to a very warm welcome. The rooms were excellent, as was the food. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Julia & Lloyd.
All the above
Location for exploring the are on the way to the Orkneys. Intersting home near park and Nelson Tower and Runes Standing stone. Nicely appointed room. Good wifi. Good breakfast. Parkjng a bit challenging. Not for people with disabilities, though the owner was very gracious helping bring luggage over the many steps from parking. Great service.
Dinner. Chef was ambtious in his cooking a bit above his capabilities. Most of the meal was overcooked and not well executed.
Beautiful building and settings
We a great 5 day break at Cluny Bank the hotel is excellent
Nothing its perfect
Gorgeous place to stay. Lovy owners who make you feel very welcome and went the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable.
Very quite peaceful location. The room we had was spacious and very well presented, the staff are friendly and the food was excellent. Could not fault the Cluny Bank.
Lovely place, very friendly staff
especially the food it was excellent and the presentation was first class The chef was very entertaining
there was nothing to dislike
Enjoyable stay. Lovely room with very nice quality furnishings.
Shower in the en suite was a bit small and antiquated. Room 2 suffers a bit from noise from the reception/hallway very early in the morning. Also breakfast timings could be extended a bit for those trying to have a relaxing holiday.
Very warm welcome. Nice room, comfortable bed. Lovely breakfasts.
The fact that we couldn't eat at the hotel as we were visiting relatives nearby and they insisted we ate with them during our stay! The menu looked superb so we will have to return.
Quiet, clean comfortable room. Great evening meal. Nice beautifully set table.relaxing atmosphere.
Good choice of fruit, pastries toast for breakfast.we chose a cooked option. It was disappointing. 2 very thin slices of over cooked bacon and a very greasy lorne sausage. Eggs were ok.
Awesome restaurant and proprietors. Very outgoing chef/owner who is just plain fun. Beautiful rooms - beautiful house.
Friendly owners, newly decorated comfortable and clean room. Wifi in the room.
If I was to be really really picky then the lorne sausage at breakfast lol but that's being picky. Excellent hotel.
