Staff and food excellent
The two rooms that we had were exceptionally spacious and immaculate. Great attention to detail, even down to the fresh milk for tea in the room being supplied in a small flask, so that is was usable the next morning. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and the food, all prepared by the owner himself was exceptional - he is so passionate about it was a pleasure to listen to him describe what he had cooked. We would highly recommend this hotel for a fabulous gastronomic experience.
We new we'd love our stay from the moment we walked in to a very warm welcome. The rooms were excellent, as was the food. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Julia & Lloyd.
All the above
Beautiful building and settings
We a great 5 day break at Cluny Bank the hotel is excellent
Nothing its perfect
Gorgeous place to stay. Lovy owners who make you feel very welcome and went the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable.
Very quite peaceful location. The room we had was spacious and very well presented, the staff are friendly and the food was excellent. Could not fault the Cluny Bank.
Lovely place, very friendly staff
especially the food it was excellent and the presentation was first class The chef was very entertaining
there was nothing to dislike
Enjoyable stay. Lovely room with very nice quality furnishings.
Shower in the en suite was a bit small and antiquated. Room 2 suffers a bit from noise from the reception/hallway very early in the morning. Also breakfast timings could be extended a bit for those trying to have a relaxing holiday.
Very warm welcome. Nice room, comfortable bed. Lovely breakfasts.
The fact that we couldn't eat at the hotel as we were visiting relatives nearby and they insisted we ate with them during our stay! The menu looked superb so we will have to return.
Quiet, clean comfortable room. Great evening meal. Nice beautifully set table.relaxing atmosphere.
Good choice of fruit, pastries toast for breakfast.we chose a cooked option. It was disappointing. 2 very thin slices of over cooked bacon and a very greasy lorne sausage. Eggs were ok.
Awesome restaurant and proprietors. Very outgoing chef/owner who is just plain fun. Beautiful rooms - beautiful house.
Friendly owners, newly decorated comfortable and clean room. Wifi in the room.
If I was to be really really picky then the lorne sausage at breakfast lol but that's being picky. Excellent hotel.
The food, particularly dinner was superb. The service was spot on. The experience was amazing. Very highly recommended!
Room was very comfortable plus location to where we were going was excellent.
A few things not right but when they were pointed out to owners were very soon rectified.
Cluny Bank is more of a gourmet restaurant than a hotel so the food is very expensive if you're just looking for 'normal' evening meal! You are allowed to have takeaway food in your room if you prefer.
The hotel has an "old world" feeling without being old fashioned and a very peaceful ambience. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean and the home made fudge included in the tea/coffee tray was delicious. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent, super tasty. I have booked my next stay.
I didn't spend longer here.
The owners were both very friendly and made full effort to ensure we were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and we ate dinner there as well both nights and enjoyed it fully. Lovely room in a beautiful building
Rooms could be larger
Especially offer of fresh milk in room. Complete requirements in en suite bathroom. Care and attention of all staff. Patience and flexibility in allowing for late arrivals/meals etc. Excellent food and very prompt table service. (Outstanding)
Minor details: TV mounting at side of bed made watching somewhat difficult without cricking one's neck. Not quite enough butter on table for two slices of bread/toast. Need to review type of breakfast marmalade on offer.
The room was large and very comfortable
It seemed to us it was all about the owner who showed little or no respect for his wife, the food was good but very small portions and overpriced as were the drinks
wonderful small cosy family run hotel. The breakfasts and dinners were absolutely fantastic.
The food was amazing and I still can't believe that a chef of that quality is hidden away in Forres! All courses were excellent but the puddings were definitely some of the best I've tasted. The owners were both very friendly and couldn't do more to help. We had a really good, enjoyable stay.
