Large freshly baked white loaf - yummeeeee!! Lashings of hot water; warm and comfortable. The following morning the owner went to a huge amount of trouble to write out directions for me - very thoughtful.

Very well appointed self-catering room. Although not cheap, the facilities and services were 'generous'. Staff pleasant and relaxed - ok for us to stay an hour after check-out. Location and added animal interests with a difference.

Very friendly staff. Being self contained cottages gives you more of a home feel than a normal hotel, allowing you to eat when and what you want. The cottage was clean and comfortable and offers great views across Swansea and Mumbles. I will stay here again on my next trip to Swansea.

Basic facilities such as Food in the Fridge and cooking facilties including a very cheap and basic Microwave, Dishwasher, Washing machine but nothing Great Almost everything. Firstly the Hotel is overpriced and on the top they charged an extra £30 for 1 extra adult per night who could have ebeen easily accomdated in the normal cottage we paid for initially. It was advertised that Breakfast is provided. We expected Breakfast for everyone everyday we paid for. No -- they stock milk, bread, 50 pence butter and some non eatable cheese balls and we have to prepare the breakfast daily. No toiletries provided - only towels and that too which are not replaced on a daily basis. Paid for 1 hour Horse Riding -- but when we reached, no helmets were available for my kids when they knew beforehand of the booking and also the age, height and weight of everyone. The Horse Riding session started half an hour late and they only did 45 mins of Horse Riding when we paid for full hour Horse riding for 4 people!!! Basically these people are trying to extract hard earned money out of the pocket. I would not receommend this hotel to anyone!!!

The centre is an interesting place, a farm sat on top of a hill behind housing. This meant factilites like shops and chippy were close by. There are great views (weather permitting) across Swansea and Mumbles bay. The centre offers a mix of converted barns and camping. They run a few activites on site, with horse riding seeming the most popular. I stayed in Byron's Barn which is a pleasant little place with old world charm. The barn was well stocked with basic foodstuffs (tea, coffee, sugar, milk breads etc.) and entertainments (radio, dvd player). The staff at the centre were very helpful and friendly. They were there if you need them and left you in peace if you didn't. I would stay at Clyne Farm again.

We loved the setting at Clyne Farm. Gorgeous views and our children loved experiencing the farm. They tried horse riding and adored George the pig. Some good family beaches were only a short drive away. Paula, in the office, was particularly helpful and arranged for our daughters' surf lessons and horse riding. Our beds were surprisingly comfortable and the kitchen was very clean. It was a real bonus to have a washer/dryer. On arrival there was no welcome pack and a lukewarm reception. We went hunting for breakfast the next morning only to find out we should have had a basket full of fruit, bread, cereals, tea and coffee on arrival in our cottage. This was eventually provided for us but it would have been so much nicer to find it waiting for us. Our cottage had a nice balcony but we would made more use of it if it had better furniture. The small table and and one chair were rotten so we used the bench instead. The sofas inside need replacing...no problem for kids but no good for adults.

A nice change from a run of the mill hotel. The surroundings were stunning. The kids loved being able to wake up and watch the horses. Only one minor quibble; hotels normally provide toiletries. I got caught out.

The views from the the Balcony The cleanliness of the rooms was poor with dirt on the floor, in the bathrrom and under the bed. The accomodation smelt of damp. Advertised as 4 star accomodation - should be 2 star with a Tent at 1 star. Also, there are nine cottages which might be different in quality to the one I stayed in but i am talking about the Diary lodge.

Excellent staff - very helpful and friendly. Very good provision for continental breakfast. Was fine for our purpose - a base for a short break as a last minute booking.Convenient (by car) for The Mumbles and for South and West Gower. Strange location on edge of Swansea in a housing estate - but you wouldn't have noticed - it felt in the country. Not as clean as it could be. The cottage we stayed in was poorly maintained and somewhat cheaply fitted out - so could be described as basic - but was more than adequate if your not fussy - nothing was "bad" and everything was "OK". Served our purpose but I would rate it at "2 star" for a price that should have been "4 star". Arrival time was too late to make the best of the arrival day.

The accomodation was very comfortable. The location was quiet and the views from the grounds were fantastic. I would recomend Clyne Farm for those looking for a quiet get away. Clyne Farm is not what I would call a hotel, for me it was much better. The accomodation was not a bedroom with an on suit; it had a small open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area plus 2 seperate bedrooms and a bathroom.

This was a nice cottage set in a rural farm setting whilst being only a few minutes from the sea. Slightly further to get to nicer beaches though. My grandsons liked being able to pet the duck (goose? - I am a town girl!!) and the rabbits and seeing the horses on the farm. The cottage was well equipped and warm and had ample facilities if you wanted to cater for yourselves. The staff were very relaxed about us leaving the cottage as well, giving me time to sort the boys stuff out which seemed, over only 3 days, to have spread everywhere. I didn't like not having any handwash in the bathrooms especially as it wasn't something I had thought to take. The boys thought it gave them the perfect excuse not to wash their hands too often! Also, slight niggle but, the bathroom which was on the ground floor didn not have obscure glass in the window and the blinds didn't close easily. Not too much of an issue but one that could be sorted easily. As I said just very minor issues, easily rectifiable.

It was in good location out of the town but near amenties. It was nice to have a cottage to ourselves on a b&b basis. It was not well signposted once you were off the main road. The check in at 5pm was rather late when you had to leave by 10am. The cottage was cold because the heating only came on at 4.30pm. We quite liked the 'do-it-yourself' breakfast but some brown bread and Welsh cheese would have been good rather than the brie and almost out of date white loaf

A lovely homely retreat. Perfect as a getaway for 2 with walks and peace and quiet, but plenty to do as a family when I go back.
