Large Room, Pub food
Room a little Musty
The room was very good large plenty of room If you were staying more than one night the pub was very nice
I thought it was full English so I was disappointed with the breakfast we had planned to eat dinner there and told the landlord earlier but when we went in to the pub to eat we were told they were fully booked in the main dinning room and were directed to a small room that was already occupied by other people who had a dog with them so I declined to eat there and went elsewhere
Room was lovely. Disappointed with breakfast.
Very friendly welcome Quirky style rooms are motel style in old thatched fire station building. Pub handy for food after late arrival Basic but ok for a stopover
Huge room was very basic but adequate
Staff were helpful and friendly. The food was well above average for a pub. Excellent real ale selection.
Breakfast doesn't start until mid-morning. Not much use to the business traveller. Could maybe reconsider this?
Very well equipped big room with its own door. Good continental breakfast left in room. Heating variable as required.
Wi fi was known to be only in the pub but one had to complete a form with personal info to access and agree to terms. That should be improved. Secondly the bathroom is large but the shower head needs de-scaling and the whole shower operation checked. The skirting boards in the bathroom look rotten and the lighting in it needs to be stronger. Not a great problem but the bathroom and wifi should be fixed as they let down the whole visit. Even so a very cost effective stay and having the pub on site with pub food is an advantage.
good food fast service, nice location close to Winchester
rooms are in need of painting and upgrading, new curtains as these were torn, bedside lights tatty. very dark in room, had to keep lights on even in the day, general updating
Easy to find location, good food, large room & en-suite, nice continental breakfst in room with fridge etc, good parking - lovely old traditional pub with great atmosphere.
There is a little damp in the bathroom wall which could do with treating.
Staying in a former thatched fire station was a real novelty. The room was enormous and the bed was king size and very comfortable. The pub was very homely with a good selection food available in the restaurant. Don't be put off by the relatively low price to stay here. It is an absolute bargain.
A bed you could actually sleep like a king in
This is the third time I have stayed at the Coach and Horses. This obviously speaks for itself. I would stay there again.
Unfortunately there was a musty/damp smell evident when the room door was opened. The quality of the room cleaning was not up to the standard which I expected, but was adequate. Some upgrading would help.
Own key could come and go as we wanted
Although the room was very clean it had a musty smell needed airing. A large bathroom shower and bath needs updating. Continental breakfast adequate but disappointing, the room was very spacious so small table and chairs could have been fitted had to eat breakfast on settee or bed
we liked the size of the room, the beds were comfy, the warm welcome from the staff, there was plenty of parking. The small fridge in the room was handy and the continental breakfast which was left in your room was very welcome.
The décor needed to be refreshed. Paintwork was chipped. More thorough cleaning required as there was cobwebs and perhaps a more thorough hoover in the corners of the room.
Room was musty and dirty There were noticable maintenance issues Having to try and sleep with people from the pub shouting, swearing in the pub garden after the pub closed
the rooms are large and easy to access from your car which you can park at the door. The adjoining pub serves excellent food and we find it has a good atmosphere.this was our second stay and we will return again.we also like the village of Sutton-Scotney.
Great Staff Excellent Food Would recommend We will be certainly re-visiting
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room, Choice of breakfast always made to feel welcome.Dogs welcome which is great, would recommend.
Staff friendly and approachable, food was great and room very comfortable.
The drive home on the M25.
Very pleasant pub we arrived late after the normal meal service had finished The staff very helpful and cooked a hot meal. Nice
Bed not totally comfortable
clean, comfortable, well equipped.
Location is just off the A34 and A303. Good value motel type accommodation across the courtyard to an excellent pub with a great menu.
Bathroom is a bit stark
Good parking, food at the Inn ok, fridge in the room.
Room very musty, facilities outdated, full breakfast not available until 10 am which is ridiculous, the continental breakfast was not good, cereal and a cold croissant.
Spacious room. Good choice of ale at pub. Option of full english breakfast. Tea+coffee making facilities with biscuits in room.
Slight musty smell in room but okay with windows open.
