Right from entering the coach house we where made extremely welcome, it is set in a lovely surrounding and it was so lovely and clean, breakfast was lovely too.
Not being able to stay for a full WK due to work, there was no negatives I could say about the coach house.
The couple who run this place make it what it is: how the woman handles both breakfast and getting her kids to school is an absolute tribute to her. Very friendly, very efficient, highly recommended. When you first see it, it seems too out of the way: but that feeling soon goes.
Charming chap in charge, if slightly disorganised. Lovely breakfast.
Road near by with LOTS of road noise
If you want the perfect base to explore Northumberland from this is it! We received a really warm welcome on arrival and true hospitality all week. From Tracey's delicious home-baked treats supplied each afternoon along with fresh milk in a flask to the wonderful cooked breakfasts and help with planning our day. The room was very comfortable and supplied with all we could need. We would highly recommend The Coach House.
Afternoon cake! Neil was helpful on all occasions
Would have preferred brighter lighting, but that is being pernickety
Tracey & Neil's hospitality was fab. Rooms were great, breakfast was lush!
Breakfast Host Bed
Lovely room and excellent breakfast. Owners so helpful and friendly.
A most Friendly and welcoming stay at Tracy and Neil's Coachhouse. Housemartins buzzed our windows and the views were lovely.Cakes and seclusion in a truly peaceful and quiet house as we only discovered there were other guests at breakfast. We felt at home there. Kippers recommended for Breakfast.
Nothing. Could or should have stayed more nights.
Tracey and her husband run a fantastic place to stay. We arrived during a severe weather warning (lashing winds and driving rain) so it was brilliant receive a warm, friendly welcome with milk and cookies for the kids, super clean, comfortable and stylish room with a sea view (on the odd occasion when the weather cleared!). The smoked kipper for breakfast was superb. Highly recommended. Thanks both.
Excellent location - we used it for the proximity to Doxford Hall for a wedding. Fantastic views. Make sure you park and enter round the back - don't use the steep path at the front! Lovely owners and some fantastic local paintings on display. Excellent breakfast with magic marmalade and jams!!!
the owner was so friendly and the room and bedding immaculate . A lovely welcome tray in the room with a good selection of teas coffee and chocolate and homemade biscuits .
absolutely no complaints at all
The coach house was the perfect base to explore Northumberland. Very close to the A1 it was easy to find. The hosts Neil and Tracy were wonderful. Offering home cooked biscuits, milk and doughnuts on arrival and a delicious breakfast each morning. I highly recommend the coach house whether you plan to spend time in Northumberland or need a short break on a long journey.
Lovely welcome. Fresh milk and home made biscuits bought to our room. Really nice room, big comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent, veggie option served up for my partner was just as good.
Everything, especially the breakfasts.
We got a very friendly welcome. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. The breakfast kippers were the best we've ever tasted. Although close to the A1 we were not aware of the traffic. Would definitely go back.
Our stay began with a warm welcome with tea and banana cake. The room was very comfortable and quiet considering it is only a field away from the A1 . The nesting housemartins woke us up but not the traffic! Great breakfast. Recommended.
A short distance from the a1 and the wonderful Northumberland coast. Comfortable bed and room and we appreciated good hostess tray.p
nice friendly owners very good breakfast
ground floor bedroom
Located close to the A1, this was a very convenient stop on our way back from holiday. Owners very friendly. Good sized shower.
Unable to book in to 17.00hrs.
The owners were warm, friendly and knowledgeable & happy to give advice on this beautiful area. Food was great and family room is lovely.
Handy for the wedding in Newton. Fab breakfast and nice little touches to the room.
Afraid the shower let us down as it only gave out scalding hot water ! The ability to regulate the temp. let us down. We were told there had been problems before. As we were only there for 2 nights nothing could be done over the weekend. I hope that we're not remembered as the 'smelly wedding guests'!
access to A1
needs a sign to say that you access the car park and entrance up a small lane at the side of the property
A warm and friendly welcome, lovely room, great breakfast, and a lovely touch with the home made biscuits and real milk in a flask. Helpful and knowledgable about places to eat and visit, will be happy to stay again.
