Really comfortable bed, beautiful old building, excellent location less than 5 minutes walk from the minster, free parking in york (!!) very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, free wifi

parking spots were tight and in tandem but i guess can't really complain because its free!

Staff could not have been more considerate and helpful and the hotel having some parking space in a busy city centre was a plus point.

I loved the Location of the Coach House Hotel. It is in easy walking distance to all the main attractions. The Staff were very friendly. We were made to feel most welcome upon arrival, and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in.

The staff were very welcoming and very helpful at all times. Pleasant rooms and welcoming coffee and cake in lounge in afternoon. Great location for looking round York and surrounding area. My Mum and I enjoyed our stay.

Very cousy, it is very close to the city center but far enough to be a quiet place. Easy to walk from and back the train station. Great breakfast and nice free tea and cake in the afternoon.

For old people the stairs can be a challenge, but that is the price you have to pay if you want to stay in this type of B&B. Also we had problems with our reservation. I reserved the family room but the booking.com site did not allow me to scroll down and choose the numbers of persons staying. So, I ended up leaving the 1 person that was the default and that created a bit of confusion when we check in. The reception ladies were very nice and they make an effort to solve it and we 4 were able to keep the room I have reserved for.

Room a little small

The staff was absolute wonderful. The breakfast was anything you could possibly ask for and served hot. The hotel was cozy, which allowed everyone to get together in the lobby and it felt like home.

The room was quite small, but had everything we needed.

I was well looked after and the location for a visit to York couldn't be better.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was lovely even though we paid extra for a view of the Minster. The location was excellent. We were able to park our car at the hotel and walk to all the places we wanted to go to. The complimentary tea/coffee and home made cake in the lounge was an extra touch that made the hotel special. We will definitely return next time we stay in York.

staff were very friendly. lots of nice little touches in the hotel such as complimentary cakes and coffee. Very attentive and good variety for breakfast. great quiet location within easy walking distance of all Yorks attractions.

The staff were very polite,friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great. The location was perfect for a city break everything you could want to visit was within walking distance. Absolutely brilliant for what we wanted.

It was an old coaching Inn originally so it was quirky and not a bog standard chain of hotels. The staff were friendly and helpfull

Can't think of a thing

All of it rooms lovely and comfortable very clean. Staff great felt relaxed enough to sit in the lounge which we have never felt in bed and breakfast before. Breakfast excellent cakes in the afternoon fab. I went away with 5 friends for a birthday and we all feel the same about the place.

The ceiling in the toilet because it was an attic room was very low and could not stand up straight in it.

Warm friendly staff, room was comfortable and lovely breakfast. Near city centre and train sation.

Although the actual room was good its location downstairs next to toilets/back door/reception made for a noisy stay.We did not complain as every thing else was very good and we will return to the hotel in the future.

The comfortable lounge area, the helpful, accomodating and pleasant staff, the offer of tea and cake in the lounge on arrival, the availibility of a bar, the location and the building itself (16th century). I'll be going back!
