Set on 5 acres, the hotel is located on a tranquil grassy peninsula, leading to a sandy bay in the peaceful parish of the Vale, Guernsey.

A 19th-century farmhouse in 3 acres of grounds, the Auberge Du Val Hotel offers stylish accommodation on Guernsey’s west coast.
Score from 90 reviews Good
The staff are always very courteous and helpful. The room is a nice size and the views are great. The breakfasts were great (much better than the average hotel) although I would like the hotel to reinstate the sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds for those who like to rustle up their own museli! I will certainly stay here again.
The smaller spaces available for parking are an inconvenience but I managed to find a spot each day, which was ok. As I was over for business, I should have stayed in St Peter Port; Cobo Bay is best for holidays and relaxation I think.
Beds were gorgeous with lovely clean linen and snuggly quilts. Breakfast (the only meal we ate there) was lovely with a great choice. Reception staff were very helpful as I had a few issues which were immediately sorted.
Can't think of anything at all.
Friendly, attentive, helpful staff at a busy time of year as well. Very comfortable and clean room, good breakfast.
Parking can be an issue, since the change of ownership of the pub next door.
The view from the room, the food & the beer.
Only being able to stay one night.
Great, food and view. Really enjoyed it
Could do with more parking
The bar and lounge was very relaxing and there were plenty of boxed games to choose from. Food was lovely, service was good, if they didn't have it one the menu you only had to ask. Buses were regular straight into town or the scenic route
Staff positive attitude and professional and service. Comfort and furnishings in general. Food. Excellent Sea Views.
Poor internet. Parking. Cleaners should wait until room is vacated before cleaning.
Lots of litte extras, all requests exceeded our expectations even down to a birthday card. Wonderful attentive staff, excellent food. Seaviews exceptional, room beach hut style decor, very comfotable. 1930's style decor to restaurant. Hot tub and sauna relaxing, had it to ourselves. Small friendly clean. Regular buses Inc round the island £1 just 3 min walk away will definitely go back.
Road outside room a little noisy. Also cleaners could be a little quieter in corridors early in the morning.
spar room staff room size food
Restaurant food was excellent
Creaky floors, walls too thin
Peace and quiet. Nice restaurant
Not a lot to do!
Location first class - very comfortable hotel and the quality of food needs special mention
Needing to leave
Hotel and staff very good, and information about area plentiful. Lots of Museums to visit if weather not great.
Bathroom had no ventilation and got very hot, otherwise everything was wonderful.
We loved the location: right on the seafront at Cobo Bay, which is lovely to walk along at any time of the day, but the sunsets are particularly wonderful. We liked the large room, the comfortable bed, the storage in the room, the iron and ironing board, the cleanliness, etc. The bathroom was fine - a bit small, but perfectly ok. We thought the staff on reception were friendly and helpful, and the waiting staff in the restaurant were lovely. There's a terrace outside, too, where you can eat, or just have a drink, with a view of the sea.
We think it's rather expensive in relation to similar hotels in England, but I think that's the Channel Islands for you!
Great staff, good food, incredible location, extremely clean
Lovely seaview room overlooking white sandy beach probably the best beach on guernsey.extra large comfortable bed , good breakfast , great resturant for evening meal staff very helpfull all in all a great hotel.
Nothing realy just wi fi in rooms not great
Comfortable hotel, lovely sea view, pleasant staff good food.
The location is wonderful, right opposite a glorious beach, we paddled every day. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast very good. We booked for two nights in the restaurant, meals a bit pricey but the chef is excellent as the standard is superb. The staff very courteous and helpful.
View from the room. We reported on our first day that one light bulb in the bathroom did not work and made it very dark, also the phone was dead., these were not mended before we left (room 212) On the day prior to leaving our room key and that of the other room booked by our party (211) stopped working, when reported 212 was OK but 211 never worked again. Despite me going back and forth to the reception 7 times to have it sorted my friend had to have the receptionist let her in with a pass key until we left. These really were not acceptable.
The waiters & waitress were absolutely fantastic and so polite.
The reception staff not saying hello when you walked in. We felt the evening meal was rather expensive and so ate out each night for half the price.
Just so relaxing. And made to feel welcome. And nothing to much trouble
excellent and professional waiting staff and food, good location next to lovely beach having daily water bottles provided was very nice
noise from pub next door including fight and ambulance in the early hours. Extractor fan (or similar) from kitchen 1 floor below. The other room we booked was small and similarly noise affected unable to get wifi connection all week for internet so that was disappointing
Excellent location on bus route, helpful staff, good facilities and breakfast included.
Earplugs required due to being woken up by returning noisy, arguing neighbours, both next door and upstairs, banging and stomping heard through thin walls, ceiling/floors - not great!
Great location, fantastic food portions are huge, staff are great can only score this 10 out of 10 plus on the new jet plane it's only 35 min flight from Gatwick
Could do with some cushions on the sun loungers on the sun terrace, it's the only fault a great hotel
We enjoyed the whole experience of our stay at the hotel.
The initial room 207 which was very hot and very noisy from the new pub next door until gone 1.00am. However the staff managed to change our room and we had a very enjoyable stay.
My husband and I had intended to try various restaurants during our stay. The views of spectacular sunsets, the choice of excellent food and the friendly, informative and professional service meant we ate at the hotel every night: a joy!
