I was on B&B tariff. On entering the restaurant for dinner on 2 evenings, there was embarrassment as I had not "booked". Apparently booking is expected because it affects table settings, but this is nowhere made clear in the guidance to guests. But problem was quickly sorted out with good humour, and I was made to feel welcome.
Warm welcome and helpful guidance on arrival (Philip).
Excellent service from staff in restaurant (mainly young people from EU) - without exception, well trained, efficient, attentive, pleasant and courteous.
Mature clientele, many obviously regular visitors, made for restful ambiance.
Good room and facilities.
Restaurant - good food and value.
Car parking - plenty of space and well controlled (clear guidance to guests).
