Every thing clean and fresh looking. Powerful shower with surrounding area. Scrummy breakfast with good quality sausages- no cheap shortcuts.
All good- no dislikes
Location and staff were good, that's about it.
Bed matress was thin/cheap and old, shower ran hot and cold, breakfast was cheap and continental side consisted of prunes and cereal! , changing rooms were out of order and we were expected to walk through the hotel in swimming gear, pool area is dated and not like the pictures! , front room was very noisy and we could hear the front electric door opening all night as well as the traffic, walls and floors are very thin so you can here everything happening next door! General decor is like a nursing home. Very poor hotel for £100 a night charge!
Dining area, wifi,location.
Although the common areas are well kept and upto date the room was a little tired .

Tv in my room was old and small.
This is the 4th time I have stayed at the Collingwood. I came to visit a relation who lives close to the Hotel. I have always been impressed with the rooms, cleanliness, friendliness and efficiency of the staff and the superb quality of the food, hence my reasons for returning.
There is very little to dislike, facilities, staff and food are of a high standard. The location, however might not suit everyone as it is located at the top of a steep hill so those with difficulty walking, or with any other impairment might have difficulties.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff and good food. What more do you need.
The room was a nice size, good facilities & good mannered staff.Generally a comfortable & clean hotel.
The electricity cut out 2 days running. You could also hear people walking around in the room above - needs better insulating.
Service a bit slow for breakfast
Breakfast and Room service both delicious ! Ideally located for the main purpose of my trip (bic)
Car parking was good although it would be good if the sign was clearer the saying the car park was shared with the neighbouring hotel. Noise from builders very early in the morning but a very comfortable stay
Traditional sea side hotel, rooms are clean and tidy and well maintained.
Attractive building with comfortable lounge and bedrooms. Reasonably convenient for Poole where I was visiting The Lighthouse Theatre for a concert by the John Wilson Orchestra - the main visit for my stay in the area
Small point but felt the girl on reception should be a little more welcoming ( smile more?!)
Swimming pool, location, greeting, friendliness of staff, breakfasts
We had a room which overlooked a main road so there was traffic noise and noise from other hotels entertainment
The location is good. With parking and wifi as promised
Room smelled strongly of chlorine. Beside table grubby with cup rings and coffee?? Stains on the wall in the bathroom. Noise from bar and people returning to rooms. Breakfast staff although many of them service was poor.
Location very good but as it is up a steep hill not suitable with anyone with mobility problems unless you are travelling by car, there is a car park.
We liked the location of the hotel, the food was exceptional, the room was lovely and clean. The whole atmosphere was really calm and quiet.
Quiet and comfortable hotel. Friendly and polite staff.
Quality of breakfast. Room very small.
the room and facilities the breakfast the waiting staff close to all the amenities easy to get to from the motorway
Friendly staff, good location, the rooms are comfortable & the wifi is good. The breakfast is nice & staff very accommodating. Car park a good size at the back of the hotel.
Make the televisions in the rooms all the same size & maybe add a small fridge in all the rooms. The breakfast finishes a little too early at 09.30... Even in a Sunday. The swimming pool is very high in chlorine & can make your eyes a little sore. The lift is small & takes a while to go up & down. Apart from that a very pleasant stay.
Good breakfast and dinner
Bed too small for a double front of hotel noisy at night with traffic and late night revellers.
The hotel is close to the sea and the town. If slopes are a problem, it is near the cliff lift. The room was well furnished and, along with the bathroom, was spotless. the room was cleaned each day. there is a good sauna and pool. Staff were most helpful.
Perhaps some traffic noise at the front in the mornings, although I liked being at the front because of the sea view to the Isle of wight.
Most of the hotel facilities were good.
Hot water tap was at boiling point far to hot, there were signs to indicate very hot water. But should think about changing wash basin to single tap basin with mixer tap. Made complaint about noise from kitchen fridge compressors, woke me up at 2.30am could not get back to sleep ,went downstairs at 4.30am to tell night porter he made note to let staff know in morning next day nobody approached me to apologise or offer another room.
Clean & good value for location.
No children's menu for bar meals. Mattresses were very uncomfortable in the twin bedroom.
The hotel was so clean, the food was great, the staff were friendly with the added bonus of a pool, sauna and steam room. A really super hotel, we were well impressed.
Friendly happy staff. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym were perfect, everything so clean and fresh as was everything throughout the whole hotel. Breakfast delicious and lunch menu looked good but ate dinner one night in the hotel, was a little disappointed, not value for money in my opinion. Otherwise 10 out of 10 all round.
Nothing, just the hills.....very steep down to the beach and town, don't mention trying to climb back up hahaa. But that's just Bournemouth!!
