Friendliness of the owners
Nothing was a problem.
Bed was a touch hard.
Personal care Homely feel Pleasant atmosphere Good full English breakfast
Poor views of rear buildings One electric socket with a four socket extension lead resulted in kettle on floor
The hotel is situated in a quiet, pleasant location - away from busy traffic. The facilities are excellent and we received a very warm welcome from Pat and Christine on arrival. Breakfast was superb and served in an attractive and comfortable dining room. Our room was very comfortable with excellent facilities. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners - Pat and Christine. We would highly recommend The Collingwood Hotel to anyone who is looking for accommodation in Blackpool; and we would definitely stay there again.
We were satisfied with all aspects of our stay at the Collingwood Hotel.
nice couple running the hotel. location on the quieter side which we wanted. Easy parking and it felt a safe area. Good choice of breakfast and refills for coffee and tea if requested.
Rooms were dated but warm and comfortable. Room 18 didnt have a particularly good view but hey who spends time looking out of the window (unless you wanted to spend the money on a hotel on the front and pay the extra).
Just a grand place with grand people running the place. If more people were as friendly as the owners the world would be a better place! Mr Pat K & Mrs Tracy K :-)
I didn't like having nothing to complain about!!! ;-)
We had an excellent stay and though the location is just away from the front, we found it better as its quieter but still easy to access the main attractions. Overall very good value for money.
2 km from city-centre, located on the tramway. Free parking. For a B&B, fairly big. Full English breakfast. Evening meal also available.
The whole concept of "Bookings.com" including the B&Bs under the "Hotels" category, is flawed. It is classed as a 4* property. My best rating 1*. Only saw 2 staff- available for a couple of hours in morning and evening, other times we were on our own. If you are late in the mornings, no cleaning, as the cleaning staff (separate from the 2 staff) left by noon. No elevator. Big problem for us with knee problems and taking luggage by narrow stairs. Same breakfast menu daily. Dinner with advance notice only. En-suite WC is not original plan, but has been created out of the room space. "Enjoy England" system of star ratings is totally misleading. Basically this is a house turned into a paid accommodation.
Greeted by Pat on arrival very friendly room small but very well equipped very clean bed really comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic, safe car parking would stop again and would recommend
Noisey guest in the hotel no fault of the hotel what so ever just inconsiderate people
Pat and Christine were excellent hosts, nothing to much trouble. Our breakfast was fantastic, freshly cooked and very tasty. The hotel was in a nice quiet road but close to the promenade.
Nothing we can think of that we didn't like
parking,access to Trams and Buses
climbing the strairs
warm welcome when arrived, pat & Christine made you feel very at home , breakfast was great ,would recommend to friends to stay at Collingwood when in blackpool
The owner welcomed us to his hotel and I could not fault the way we were looked after during our stay. The Hotel was clean the breakfast was very good the location was quiet and the hosts very friendly.
Unfortunately Blackpool did not inspire me and my partner to want to go back again but I would recommend the hotel to anyone going there. Saying that, the bed that I slept in had a problem with it's mattress as there were springs going in every direction and occasionly poking in the wrong places!!
Friendly obliging staff. Quiet location but with good public transport connections to centre of Blackpool. Freshly cooked English breakfast.
Nothing. But don't confuse with another Collingwood Hotel not far away on the Promenade.
Breakfast General staff service Comfortable bed Cleanliness-beddings, bathroom, tea cups & spoons in the room
it was difficult to access wi-fi
Breakfast was excellent
The owner was very friendly and made each guest feel at home, lovely breakfast, nice and clean , own parking was a real bonus .
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Free Parking. Easy to Find. Tasty Breakfast
