friendly staff, hotel well worth visit, great food.
Parking not available
Very comfortable room with excellent shower.
Liked the location. This is a good enough old refurbished hotel. Staff are all helpful. It compares well enough with three star hotels in other settings.
Thought it was rather expensive in comparison with similar hotels in the area. It felt more like a three star although it is classified as four star.
No soundproofing, so very noisy corridor, especially in the mornings.. Bad condensation on windows, fire alarm went off, told it was the room we were in, asked if had shower-no asked if used any electricals- no so man opened window and left ! Not impressed.
Very good deal for B&b
Temperature of shower was not easily controlled. Took a long time to heat up then got too hot! No parking
1. location close to town 2. laundromat around the corner 3. great breakfast
1. parking--a bit of a hike 2. no area to unload gear--arrived at a busy time, but still...
Last minute booking due to weather report! Good value for money .
Staff all ok apart from one blonde female bit abrupt!
bed was nice and comfy Wifi solid and reliable Breakfast buffet had good choice, all good quality
had to get up early to catch bus ;)
We stayed at the back of the hotel. The front seems to be perfect heat, as soon as you walk through one of the doors in the hallway (don't know exactly which one, you notice the change in temperature. Our room was a sweatbox. However the staff did arrange a fan for the room which was useful. The pillows are quite large and stiff. So not really the best nights sleep.
A wonderful view of the Ness River and Inverness Castle.
Off site car parking.
Nice facade, great location opposite the castle.
Not so great interior, felt very dated and slightly stuffy. The breakfast buffet was one notch above terrible (best case scenario: boring) and inconsistent. Everything that was cooked was absolutely drenched in cooking oil and/or other fluids. There was also a huge, dark stain on the chair in my room. Wi-fi was very slow.
good location right in the heart of city
bit hard to find at first with current roadworks and full of tour groups - also parking is about 5 mins away from hotel
Room excellent value grat location
Breakfast milk and juice lukewarm also hot breakfast cold also sign saying plates Hot also all cold.
The breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly and I was grateful for the lift as I was on the third floor. The decor was very attractive and the breakfast excellent.
There was a chip in the bath, and it was noisy in the evening especially when they threw empty bottles out. I would have liked to be able to open the windows.
Staff very friendly, room with river & castle view was lovely & bed was extremely comfy. Was a bit dubious after reading reviews but the hotel was great in every way
Absolutely nothing to dislike about our room
The location was excellent and the price was good
The staff in dinning room in morning struggled to understand requests. May benefit from having a fluent English speaking member of staff in there at all times. Room was a little cold.
Extra cod for baby.
Location of hotel was good. That was about it. Room was so dull and depressing, bed was so lumpy, shower wasn't powerful and we paid £109 for a twin room for one night. Wouldn't reccomend anyone to stay here .

Situated on the river bank, opposite Inverness castle. Views plus central.
Parking, is public pay parking some 2 to 3 hundred meters away.
Location, size of room, friendly staff
view to the back, kitchen odeur in the room
The fact that it was central.
I felt the room was small, not as big as quoted on the website, also the t,v was small and also the bed!! For the price we payed I was disappointed that we did not book the penthotel!! I have stayed in many hotels in Inverness but this was the worst!. The breakfast costing £12.95 really was not worth the money as they were on glasses and service was slow, the breakfast was average. In the morning when I had a shower the plug hole was full of hair so the water proceeded to fill up in the bath yuck!! I would most definatley not stay here again nor reccomened to any friend as there are other hotels costing the same price or indeed cheaper much better..
Breakfast was good. Excellent location.
Staff could be nicer.
Lovely room and service highly recommended.
Some staff at breakfast did not understand english which was awkward.
Hotel in a heart of Inverness over the River and with close view to Castle on next to the River.
