Myra, die Besitzerin des Columba House Hotels, war sehr freundlich und hatte ganz hervorragende Tipps, was man in der Umgebung machen kann. Das Essen im Restaurant ist ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert. Es ist eine kleine Karte, aber für jeden etwas dabei und frisch zubereitet. Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel für diese Gegend.

My friend and I got a very warm welcome from the owner (Myra). Our room was a good size and comfy warm beds. Beautiful view from our bedroom window. Lovely garden with ducks and rabbits. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good location, very helpful and accommodating prorprietors Good to have an option of an evening meal. Perhaps the menu needs a little more variety and I would like the choice of a house wine

Heating seemed to be on a timer returned early to a cold room this was early april and it was cold outside.

Relaxing and beautiful location. We asked to change our room to one that had its own front door - this was not a problem.

Limited menu for dinner and quite expensive for what we got. Nothing startling, unfortunately! Although our room was nice, I felt it was expensive for a weekend break. Breakfast was ok - although young waitress seemed to only be able to pour half cups of coffee and wanted to clear plates before we had actually finished eating!! Fresh fruit was limited unless you arrived at the start of breakfast serving.

I thought that Myra was the most helpful and nicest person. She did not for one minute asked us why we were in Kingussie, or what we were doing there. She did however entertain us with feeding the ducks, making jokes about there being no carbohydrates in Scotland etc. When I asked her for brown toast, she said that "Bill" her husband had only made white bread! It was delicious. The next morning Bill had made brown bread, which Myra gave us. I will certainly stay in this hotel again, I just hope that Myra has a room for us when I next go to Scotland!

As part of a summer touring holiday, we travelled to Cairngorm. Columba House is conveniently placed but not amidst the hubbub of the Aviemore resort. We had a lovely four poster room with a garden and mountain view. The room was peaceful and spacious. It even came equipped with a "security teddy bear" who looked after it when we were not there. Breakfast was substantial and tasty, served in the garden restaurant where we watched squirrels and birds feeding, through the window. Myra was welcoming and very effective. We would recommend Columba House thoroughly and without reservation.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was one of the best that I have had. Full Marks!!!

This is a wonderful hotel that offers great food and a beautiful location, staff are excellent and the rooms are large and very comfortable. A lovely place to stay for discerning couples.
