The bed was comfortable and the hotel friendly. The bar is nice and comfortable and a restaurant for more formal dining. The staff were excellent and very thoughtful.
The hotel was fairly olde style and a little tired in places. The food was mediocre.
Very good food. Excellent location and lovely garden. The rooms were very clean and cosy and the whole hotel had a really nice relaxing feel to it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideal for those wanting a peaceful break in the beautiful Malvern Hills.
Bar was closed on our return (23.30). Rooms very hot ( No aircon ). You would expect to have aircon when paying £120 per Night.
Where it was The staff and in particular the young girl on reception. We had a problem with a noisy TV in the adjoining room and we were moved immediately to another room, with no fuss.
The breakfast was very poor. The sausage was very low quality, we were served coffee and then ignored and had to chase the waiter to take our order. Day 2 was a little better and our order taken promptly but we did not get what we ordered. I would not recommend the cooked breakfast to anyone.
Very clean, quiet and hospitable. The meal in the hotel restaurant was excellent and the grounds were lovely. They obviously care about their service: I even got a thank you letter for filling in their feedback questionnaire.
The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The hotel itself is very tidy and it has the Olde English feel to it. The food was very good and there was a good selection of ales at the bar. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.
The only downside was on one night whilst there there was some noisy guests who had been in the bar and decided to hold a noisy conversation on the landing next to my room at midnight.
The hotel has very nice grounds to the rear with two comfortable lounges the one on the first floor having a TV I would add these facts to the introduction on arrival. We enjoyed our stay and the evening meals.
Evening meal and breakfast excellent. Very kind helpful staff quiet, peaceful location and large car park.
1. Friendly & helpful staff 2. Nice breakfast 3. Great setting right near the Malvern Hills 4. Really comfortable bed and pillows
Slight confusion with car park signage - wasn't clear that the parking area by the gardens belonged to the hotel.
Nice quiet location, nice ambience and good staff.
Travelled as a single and had tiny room, not very spacious and tiny bed, not very comfortable. Overpriced.
freindly staff. car park large. positioned quite good for malvern Ross ... etc .
I made this booking for 4 persons on business trip al 4 agreed the hotel was not a £85 per night hotel This hotel is overpriced, for the type of room which was very small for what was charged for a room no bigger than half my garage. The bar food menu is limited. low mobile network signals. it is okay for one night but if you stay more than 1 night ensure you have a decent room. Staff are freindly, car park plenty of room.
Even though described as " small double " , room was perfectly sized for a couple. Bar prices a bit high - cask ales very good. Food expensive but high quality.
Bed was too soft &poor structure. Loose, slippery uncomfortable bed linen.
Helpful and friendly staff. Nice location. Wonderful bed and pillows - very comfortable. Lovely and quiet at night.
Being charged the full rate for breakfast for a coffee and croissant.
The staff. Their helpful attitude was great. Went out of the way for us and made our stay very welcome.
Lack of taxis in the area. Not hotels fault tho.
The staff are brilliant and multi tasking, nothing is too much trouble. Food was very good although bar menu was preferable to the formal restaurant menu. Our room was spacious and well furnished.Location is excellent, would definitely stay here again.
some of the decor is a bit "tired" Room 28 needs some work on the ceiling plaster.
All staff are friendly
The hotel was attractive, comfortable and peaceful.
Superb setting, lovely limetree in garden with chairs to sit out in. Beautiful old house converted to hotel. We stayed in room 28 on the top floor, very quiet, so I could sleep (very light sleeper). Food fantastic!
staff were fantastic, absolutely the most lovely. The waiter & waitress particularly were absolutely stellar, but everyone was great
slightly more than I would usually pay for this kind of trip, but I did book quite last minute.
Afternoon tea with home made biscuits. Amuse bouche in residents lounge before dinner
We were led to believe the restaurant and the food were really good.(Michellin recommended) I had lamb which was said to be local and it was as tough as old boots. The veggie options for breakfast and dinner very poor and boring. Suggestion to have tea making facilities in residents upstairs lounge.
it was very friendly
front position small noise from road
Ideal location for exploring the Malverns - the staff could not have been more helpful. We ate in the bar and the food was excellent.
Very nice hotel, staff very attentive and polite. Food was very good.
Breakfast needs to be available from 7am not 7:30 for business.
Location perfect. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
Excellent staff, comfortable bed, convivial bar, lovely location
Vegetarian options on menu
