Score from 1336 reviews Wonderful
Opposite Nottingham Castle, Park Plaza has spacious rooms, a pan-Asian restaurant and an 11th-floor fitness center with panoramic city views. The Old Market Square is just 325 ft away.
Score from 649 reviews Good
In the heart of Nottingham, next to the Trent University tram stop and just a short walk from the Victoria shopping center, the hotel has well-priced, modern rooms.
Score from 348 reviews Very good
At the intersection of route A52 and A60, across from Ruddington Grange Golf Club, the hotel offers easy access to central Nottingham, free parking and comfortable, affordable rooms.
Score from 144 reviews Very good
- beautiful building - comfy bed - snacks in restaurant were pleasant and reasonably priced
- bedroom was quite old and the fittings were not of the highest quality - hotel just feels slightly run down
Superior room was worth the additional cost, very impressive room
Driving round the one way system in nottingham without Tom tom, it's quite hard to find.
ALL ROUND GOOD HOTEL
Location was brilliant for easy access to Nottingham City centre. Room was cheap but would have paid more for upgrade..
Booked executive room, room was a good size but was told when booking rooms only had a small windows but could not see out of it because as you looked all you could see was stone pillas , as to move rooms all were fully booked and when told all executivery rooms were like this. Ate in hotel restaurant on first night food was faultless but lacked atmosphere and had to point out to waitress that there was litter on the floor from afternoon teas.
Buildings, history, staff, room. Fabulously huge bathroom. Easy parking, gorgeous grounds.
It's a little bit away from everything, but that suited us.
Plenty of parking, large rooms, Wi-Fi that works and a good restaurant
The drive through Nottingham!
History, grounds easy parking
Those who booked with booking. Com had to pay extra for breakfast. Those who called the hotel direct. Had their breakfast included in the same room charge.
The location and the facilities
nothing to dislike
The location of the race course, the staff were really helpful. We arrived early, and were able to book in straight away. The breakfast was well worth the money and the service was very good.
The was nothing to dis like
the views and the food
no lift and we were on the top floor but it does say there isn't a lift so it was my own fault.
The staff were brilliant and the food was excellent.
The bed mattress was to hard and uncomfortable.
Superior rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The value for money is quite superb, stay in luxurious surroundings with excellent staff on hand who appear genuinely happy to be there, at a lower cost than a premier inn! No brainer really, thats why I've already booked two more satys at this great hotel.
Finding the place in the dark was a challenge, other than that I can't fault it.
Restaurant food was poor. Menu was clearly from start of year as it had offers for Valentines day easter etc. Food clearly bought in and heated up. TV's only had analogue remote control so couldn't change channels unless you called reception to come up with the digital remote.
Doors and windows that didnt close Price of drinks Signposting from main road (lack of)
Staff were lovely. Grounds spectacular. Building amazing. Food had potential!
The scallops were a little overdone and the tagliatelle needed a little more seasoning. My partner's steak was cold and so we sent it back, everything else was hot but obviously wouldn't have been if I had waited for his meal to come back so I had to dine alone... and then he did! The sea bass was perfect. Vegetables should have been included with the meal in my opinion. The waitress apologised at the time. No mention was made of the incidence when we paid the bill in the morning. The hotel was quiet and we were given the wrong room and subsequently moved, I cannot understand why we were booked into a superior room and yet the room had one tiny window with no view whatsoever?
Pleasant surroundings, quiet hotel, ample free parking.
Pillows were not very comfortable. Otherwise no complaints.
the general atmosphere and standard of service
Noisy bird at 05:00 and delivery truck at 07:00 Needs double glazing !!
The hotel was quiet and peaceful. We stayed on a Wednesday night. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our executive rooms were located on the second floor up four flights of stairs with no lifts. Our rooms had everything that we needed ie iron, ironing board, spare pillows, dressing gowns and a fan which was needed as there was only on small window and re room was really stuffy and hot. The decor of the room wasn't great and felt a bit tired and the layout of our room 203 wasn't great as our bed was situated right behind the door. But for the discounted price we paid I was satisfied. We didn't have breakfast as it was an additional £10.50 each (£42 for a family of 4 is too expensive).
The floor in our bathroom was uneven, the tiling was poor with a broken tile in the doorway which I reported when we checked out.
Exceptional history and a great location, good standard of cleanliness and a great English breakfast.
Hotel is now becoming a shadow of its former glory, dated room decor, rippled carpets, rough towels leave this once superb hotel experience sadly wanting. Superior rooms attract a premium price but in all honesty it is not value for money. A very very limited choice on the breakfast menu doesn't help, no choice of kippers or omelette, very very poor choice of continental breakfast offered, only sliced melon, two pastries and toast.
Good location, big rooms.
Room service tray left outside my room for about 30hrs. Room decor very tired.
Staff weren't very welcoming and the staircase carpets were dirty and there were trays and linen just left in the hallways for some time. Out TV and bedside light didn't work and there was no one on reception at 11.00
the location, although so close to the city and sporting venues you felt in the open country side with walks around the lakes and along the river. the dinner in the byron brasserie was excellent value
for a boutique hotel it lacked the little extras that would lift it into another level, such as ones local to us that we are familiar with: Hotel du Vin, Winchester or The Pig,Brockenhurst
Food awesome, price for for food well worth every penny. I'm loving the afternoon tea, highly recommend
