The setting the Hotel is in is great Service o.k rather than great. Decor is more in line with a chain hotel. Interior lacking in personality and character.

The Wedding we attended on the following day was excellent I do not usually file reports but please take this as contructive criticism. The meal at night was excellently cooked,my medium rare, my wifes well done!! We had to go and find the girl to get served a drink at 7pm. Knocking on various doors marked staff only! The double bed was so soft it was uncomfortable, it needs replacing. The breakfast was mainly pre-cooked not cooked to order, the breakfast on Saturday at the Castle of Comfort just down the road was excellent with just as many staying there. Not hard to improve.bell or buzzer on bar and reception desk. New mattress in room 15

Location: picturesque quiet valley Old mill building - nicely converted Just one minor issue: hotel location and charm cannot be over- emphasised. Disappointed by the table service at breakfast and the fact that the cold buffet items for breakfast were limited (no fruit, yoghurt or dried fruit). Most items had to be asked for - no problem but then they might or might not arrive such that we gave up in the end. I think we just happened to sit on the wrong table that morning!!
