Total remote setting, very quiet. The fitness facilities were busy but local club members did not intrude on guests.Staff were very good and we wish we could have had dinner in the hotel, the menu looked delicious. our room was a little tired and needed lifting. more attention to outside and room frontage in the annex would help |

Hotel staff friendly and helpful would not rate it as a 4star more closer to a 3star, the room we stayed in was tired and in need of refurbishment, water staining on the walls. the food was only average and certainly not 4star standard, cobwebs in the public areas in particular the bar area. all in all the hotel was a let down for the price charged, although the location is beautiful but not easy to find |

Location and spectacular views; Spa/sports facilities; Friendly, co- operative staff (after initial problem -see below) On arrival, we were required to take an upgrade, because all the ground floor rooms were full. This was a bad idea, because there is no lift and climbing two flights of stairs (27 steps + 23 steps) is not funny when you are 80+ years of age! For our second nights onwards, however, we were happily relocated in a delightful ground floor room. Another major disaster was Sunday breakfast, where the system completely broke down; the phrase 'headless chickens' springs to mind! |

The view. Certainly not a 4* hotel - the rooms are shockingly run down and tatty. None of the room amenities that you'd expect of a four star hotel and extremely expensive for what it is, I've stayed in nicer Travelodges. Specifically, both my daughters were covered in bites, the pillows were poor quality and lumpy, there wasn't even a valance on the base of the bed, curtain linings shredded and tatty, the bathroom was grubby. Food below average, one night I ordered a caramel and hazelnut tart and got a factory pastry case filled with a liquid caramel syrup with some chopped hazel nuts sprinkled over the top, husband got some afternoon teacake in lieu of a sticky sponge pudding. Overall, for a weekend costing over £1000 we were furious. |

The staff helpful and happy, facilites that were included in the price were value for money and enjoyable. The views out over the countryside were beautiful and the balcony from the room was a lovely factor during the stay. The lunch menu was very overpriced £8.50 for a sandwich, whilst these prices are common for evening meals this is too much for a light snack. We had a deal on the room so were happy, but there was mildew on the ceiling of the bath which was a little unhygienic and stood out amongst an otherwise clean and spacious bathroom. |

I really liked the setting and room. The spa facilities were excellent although the jacuzzi was not working when i was there. The steam room was heated properly, both pools amazing. I decided to stay an extra day and would have stayed longer if i could. The staff were friendly and helpful and i would reccommend this hotel to anyone. I even invited my parents to stay! The room had a few cobwebs that need to be dealt with. I don't think any visitor who pays 81-93 pounds per night should have to endure that and if the rooms are hoovered surely cleaners would notice??? Nevertheless, very quiet, comfortable, excellent bed/bedding and good LCD tv. |

The views were fantastic. The spa facility was a bonus. The town of bath is well worth a visit. The room was a little dated and tired. There was a hole in the duvet cover. The towels were new which was nice but needed washing as they left fluff everywhere. The room was dusty and behind the bathroom door there was dirt and hair. The breakfast was dissapointing, the egg has obviously been sitting under a hot light. The milk jug was cracked, the coffee cup dirty and the toast was obviously made from cheap bread. Fresh fruit would have been nice and more choice of juice. Also we read that is was within walking distance of the town and it wasn't. |

Nice location overlooking the Somerset countryside. The view is amazing, probably the best in Bath. The leisure facilities are also excellent, with indoor and outdoor pools, a huge gym and fitness centre. The room was bit tired and a little bit dirty. |

The location of the hotel and the manor / grounds were excellent. Would certainly not class the hotel as 5 star in service category despite the fact it has the gym/spa and pool facilities. Given the venue they have, feel there is genuine room for improvement |

torn curtains in the room, urine stains on the walls in the bathroom, poor upkeep of the decoration, pictures of room on website did not look anything like the actual rooms. during breakfast the milk for the cereals and fruit juices were all warm as they where placed in the sun, our coffee and tea order had to be taken twice, the cooked breakfast was very sub standard too. To say we paid over 200 pounds for this we are not impreesed!!! |

The hotel was very beautiful with breathtaking views. It's location is so peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was amazing, so much to chose from, prepared to perfection and served by delightful staff. The one and only complaint I would have is the uncomfortable matress in our room. We did have one of the cheaper rooms (18) so I guess you get what you pay for! |
