The location and surroundings of the hotel are second to none. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had [which was not a premium room] in the Annexe was excellent with plenty of space, a separate seating area and a private balcony overlooking the fantastic view. It was definitely one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. The only problem we experienced throughout our stay was that the cooked breakfast was very inferior and certainly not what you would expect from a top class hotel like this.

The location was very peaceful. The breakfast was very good and having a pool and sauna was an added bonus for relaxing after walking around Bath. only a short 3 mile drive to bath. overall we would recommend this hotel

The staff were excellent throughout I had requested originally a ground or lower floor as my wife has a hjp problem, This request was not satisfied and I was not madw aware of this in advance. In future I would wish to talk to the Hotel direct to ovbercome this issue

Lovely Grounds at the hotel, everything was finished to a great standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They couldnt do enough for you. First night we stayed there out of the three nights, the quality of the housekeeping wasnt very good, however once we mentioned this to the reception, it couldnt have been better.

The accommodation and facilities were very good and the welcome and attentiveness of all the staff was most appreciated by our group of four couples.. The quality of accommodation and dinner were very good. The gardens and surrounding woodland and views were superb. It certainly helped having excellent weather! The only negatives were that the bar area was rather drab and needed freshening up and the cooked breakfast was far too long and somewhat dried up when it arrived. However, that aside we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel.

The location was very beautiful and we enjoyed the park around the hotel. The spa facilities were good and included a good gym and a big swimming pool. Food served in the restaurant was really worth the money and the waiters had a good sence of humour :) Our room was very cosy and bed was very comfortable- we had a really good night's sleep. Breakfast was excellent and provided both hot and cold dishes. just a few minor minuses: the rubbish bin was loaded when we arrived and hadnt been removed. Hotel is quite a distance from city centre and can be accessed only with a car or taxi (10 pounds each way) and as weather conditions were bad the night we stayed we couldnt get to city as planned.

Amazing location, and facilities to use, though we arrived too late to really avail ourselves of thme. Decor in room slightly tatty (paint peeling in bathroom), room too hot and difficult to cool down a bit. Breakfast service slow and food slightly dried out - though fruit and cereals good probably overpriced for our needs

The hotel was situated in a lovely spot with dreamy views. The food was of a high standard although a little pricy for our budget. Spa and lesiure facilities were good and the staff were very friendly. Overall a hotel that deserves big thumbs up!!

The staff were exceptionally pleasant - the view from the room was lovely and everything was very clean. Food was good. The climb to the room was quite something, there was no lift. Also it would have been nice to have had a safe in the room, otherwise no complaints!

The manor house itself and the lovely resturant meal on the saturday evening. It was over £100.00 but as a special occasion for our 1st wedding anniversary it was really nice. The garden rooms, we stayed in room 31. I was disappointed with the room it looked worn and not like the photos on the website. The room was not that clean it was just acceptable/ok. The indoor pool looked worn but was ok. The views were stunning along with the surroundings around the house being very pleasant. The staff was excellent.

Views amazing and main rooms fine Staff sevice was excellent Tired and run down still rooms needed updating Grounds very shabby and tatty looking - need some good weeding and pruning not staffed enough...glasses left out overnight in grounds and all loos run down and messy
