torn curtains in the room, urine stains on the walls in the bathroom, poor upkeep of the decoration, pictures of room on website did not look anything like the actual rooms. during breakfast the milk for the cereals and fruit juices were all warm as they where placed in the sun, our coffee and tea order had to be taken twice, the cooked breakfast was very sub standard too. To say we paid over 200 pounds for this we are not impreesed!!! |

The hotel was very beautiful with breathtaking views. It's location is so peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was amazing, so much to chose from, prepared to perfection and served by delightful staff. The one and only complaint I would have is the uncomfortable matress in our room. We did have one of the cheaper rooms (18) so I guess you get what you pay for! |

The hotel grounds are stunning and it has a large choice of facilities. The rooms are dated and they need upgrading, for such a prestige hotel I felt the service poor what I would expect from a budget chain. Although the facilities look great and the grounds are beautiful it is not the venue for a very young family. |

The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful The service at dinner was very slow, I had to wait almost 15mins just to place an order. The portions were very small for the price that it cost |

We stayed at this hotel on a honeymoon break, i would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they were to obtain an upgrade on the room, The standard room is not worth the price of £189 per night. The setting is lovely but the hotel lacks any atmosphere and the service from the staff was not that of a 4 * resort |

The location of the house is spectacular. It was a huge disappointment. It is a beautiful house which has been allowed to get very shabby. The food was awful. The bathroom had paint peeling off the walls and mouldy wood, the light fitting was hanging off the wall. Not as per any of the descriptions I have seen in any literature. Luxury? An utter disappointment and very terse when we complained, both at the begining and the end of our... |

Large room, beautiful surroundings. Good breakfast. It was ok for the price we paid but otherwise it would have been overpriced. The shower glass was not properly sealed so the toilet floor was all wet when taking a shower. There was no minibar in the room, and one of the lamps didn't work. |

The setting and the location were perfect. The leisure facilities were excellent and the grounds were well maintained The food was very disappointing. the dinner in the restaurant was unimaginative and not particularly well cooked or presented. Even the breakfast was poor - the bacon and scrambled egg badly cooked and the buffet selection was limited. we were not happy that the juices and milk were not chilled. Also the furnishings were dated; the the furniture in the lounge was shabby and uncomfortable |

Wonderful surroundings and views, beautiful old main building, real class and very friendly staff The rooms in the new building are very plain and don´t look anything like the rooms in the main building. The ones on the ground floor at least have their own private patio, which provide breathtaking views over the landscape. The breakfast ist also not what I´m used to from 4* hotels, but ok. |

The situation was fabulous as were the Comfort of the rooms.Leisure facilities and spa were also excellent and staff very courteous. The Bar for Hotel Guests was uninviting and you had to go out of the main hotel to reach it. |

The architecture and the grounds were most delightful as were the views and the location There was a plate of left-over food left in the corridor outside our room when we checked-in. It was still there 18 hours later. |

We were delighted with this hotel: the room was large, confortable and had a stunning view across the valley. We received a free, complimentary upgrade which we appreciated. It's about a 30 min walk to Bath city centre, which was fine for us. We ate in the restaurant - and the food was well prepared and reasonably priced. We'd recommend it highly. No - all good. |

The spa/swimming pool, and the staff in the leisure facilities were friendly. The time wasted in the Eden bar/restaurant!! It was highly priced which would have been fine if the food had been served within a reasonable time, and each dish had a reasonable amount. However, we waited for a daft amount of time (45minutes for mains, 25 to get plates cleared!), and found this very frustrating. I would recommend the hotel but eat elsewhere. |

Room with a view. Beautiful country setting with wild deer and rabbits in the grounds. Only two things really: 1) Found receptionist difficult to understand; 2) baked beans were cold with breakfast. Other than that, a very pleasant stay. |

Lovely views from the clean room on the nice window sill seat, good room, we arrived very late but still had great service from the receptionist and some nice free biscuits from the barman ;) Breakfast staff seemed extremly busy and forgot to give us a menu and take our order. |

Staff were helpful The rooms were facing a bank of weeks (12 feet away) and it was not very accessible (via outside fire escape). These two rooms were definitely inferior to other rooms that I saw and must have been the worst in the Hotel. I did register my dissatisfaction with Reception and filled in a form provided. |

The setting and surrounding area was beautiful. It sits back off the main road and is very quiet. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was an average room, but for the money it was clean well worth it. |

Quiet, relaxing,friendly,gym/swimming pool, countryside. Very convenient as the purpose of our visit was a meeting in the University. I am s Guinness drinker but will suffer a pint of Murphy when Guinness not available. However your Murphy stout is the worst drink I have ever tasted and does not come near to what Murphy actually tastes like. One sip was enough.Pork sausages on the menu I would have thought means more than one! |
