Amazing location, and facilities to use, though we arrived too late to really avail ourselves of thme. Decor in room slightly tatty (paint peeling in bathroom), room too hot and difficult to cool down a bit. Breakfast service slow and food slightly dried out - though fruit and cereals good probably overpriced for our needs

The surrounding views. The rooms were a very poor standard - the photos on the website are very misleading.

The hotel was situated in a lovely spot with dreamy views. The food was of a high standard although a little pricy for our budget. Spa and lesiure facilities were good and the staff were very friendly. Overall a hotel that deserves big thumbs up!!

The staff were exceptionally pleasant - the view from the room was lovely and everything was very clean. Food was good. The climb to the room was quite something, there was no lift. Also it would have been nice to have had a safe in the room, otherwise no complaints!

The manor house itself and the lovely resturant meal on the saturday evening. It was over £100.00 but as a special occasion for our 1st wedding anniversary it was really nice. The garden rooms, we stayed in room 31. I was disappointed with the room it looked worn and not like the photos on the website. The room was not that clean it was just acceptable/ok. The indoor pool looked worn but was ok. The views were stunning along with the surroundings around the house being very pleasant. The staff was excellent.

The location of this hotel, was fantastic, far away enough from town to enjoy the beautiful views and peace and quiet but near enough to get into town in 5 minutes. The breakfast was lovely and hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. That little extra of having the spa facilities made it a nice change to our usual hotel stays. We ate in the city centre both nights we were here, however we were going to spend a night in the hotel having dinner and drinks, but the prices for food was way too expensive; a curry roughly being £16!!! Also I thought the price of treatments at the hotel were too expensive, considering you could get the same in a spa in town for £20, disappointing as this would have been a nice finish to the stay.

I found the hotel had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The buildings and setting have a filmic beauty. The staff were wonderful. All friendly, helpful and approachable. The room was comfortable and clean, with a stunning view from the baywindow. The pools were both clean and a pleasure to use. The sauna was at a good temperature, a rarity in British hotels. I would have appreciated a minibar/fridge in the room. I'd expect that in this priceclass, and would have used it. Another minor point: didn't like the big 'health and safety waring' boards at the fountain and the outsidepool. Could have been a bit more subtle.

The manager at the breakfast room on the first morning was confused and rude. We had to wait for over an hour for the breaskfast that had been ordered when customers who came way after us had laready been served and left. We were given an excuse that there was one chef, if that was the case how could people who came after us got served before we were served? Second day service was excellent. Also the rule regarding children not allowed the use of the pool at certain hours is not a good idea for families.
