The general squalor, dirtiness and the building work
DSS staying in hotel Room décor needed painting again Beeping of alarm every 15 mins
Nothing to like
I was very disappointed with the place
The hotel pictures advertised on booking.com are very Mis leading. The hotel in undergoing refurbishment and the pics you see when booking are of the new rooms. The hotel is disgusting and is in no fit state to be trading.
Price was reasonable for just a 'bed for the night'
Blood on pillows. Dirty bathroom. Feeble shower. Maintainance taking place in lobby. Noisy room...rats/mice scampering in ceiling??
Location good breakfast selection bed was comfy but tatty.
Room was tatty and smell of drains along one of the corridors.
Price, Staff, Location,. off street parking, Towels and bedding clean. Room nice and warm .
In serious need of a refurb.
Getting out off the run down place. Wipe your feet on the way out
Double eletric socket held to wall with insulation tape, hole in bathroom door, no plug for bath or sink, stain's on wall where it was leaking in, half the blinds were missing, tv kettle heater not pat tested, Hotel is run down and disgusting would not refund. 1st room no rose on shower both room was rotten. Pictures to prove both rooms. Still waiting for customer ser to call back 4 weeks later. A park bench is much safer place to spend a nite LOL
Room was reserved which I booked online and that was good. Reception staff was helpful and room was good
Not many fresh towels available and shower water was too slow
the bed was mattress was extremely poor.
No hair dryer in room, loud as the hotel seemed to have maintenance and not advised us No cups in room No milk in room Dark and dingy
New furnishings..big bed an tv
View from window..couldn't turn heat down..electric wires uncovered round socket..plastering not finished round socket..could hear folk nextdoor an curtains half hung up
bad bed bad shower furniture falling apart thread bare carpets throughtout hotel lift not working wallpaper peeling never visit this"hotel" again
location, good for buses And getting in to city centre. Very cheap at £45 compared to other hotels.
Bathroom window did not lock and the curtains were not fit for the windows. Nothing major.
small dated room tv had not remote when I told staff I was told the rooms were being updated, so tv never worked this is poor. Bathroom advertised as large not true very small Breakfast inedible only good thing was the toast which I did myself. Not worth the money. would not recommend it to my worst enemy.
The reception staff were very nice and friendly.
I was given a room on the 4th floor, but the lift wasn't working, so I had to carry my bags up 4 flights of stairs. When I got to the room, the walls were so thin, I could hear my neighbors breath. The bed was seriously uncomfortable, and it took about 10 minutes for the hot water to come, when I wanted to shower.
they were friendly and helped us with what bus to get!
The hotel was quit pricey for 3 people when it's only £40 each per person and we paid £125 so that's more than what it should off been! Also we ordered food to be delievered to our room and we was told by the receptionist that they rang our phone in the room which they didn't as we didn't have a phone! Also the shower was terribly slow and trickled, a plug socket was open so you could see the wires and the lift to get to the room didn't work and with luggage it's hard to get up the stairs. I wouldn't book there again.
it was near a nice pub
therie was nothing i like about hotel room was dirty and horrible
room dirty! behind radiator we funded socks?!! bath broken!! no plug!! window has problem to be cloused and restaurant was disgusting, mess and dust NEVER AGAIN
i did like when we came they did welcome us very nicely and even gave us the option that we can leave our belongings in their office as we were very early and had come from Mauritius.
the last minutes when i thinking that check out is 2 oclock but was told in a rude manner that i have to leave the hotel quickly as if when the deals finished i do not count. my parents had to stay outside for more than 4 hours and were ill when we return back to cambridge. i was also no feeling well just staying outside for more than 4 hours. secondly there should be outside toilet available for all the service users as the toilet in the room can be busy. it is hard for old people to remain outside when they are not familiar to this climate. at least when i did an error you should have provided me with some option and not i am going to charge you 10 pounds more. image your parents had been there . would you have been happy if someone had done that. i felt really bad for what you did. its shows lack of respect. someone has the right to do mistake. just try to find other solution or what can be done so that he will not feel ill at ease. if i had known check out is at 11, i would not have come and ask if i can stay for 2 more hours. ya for a woman you were very rude. sorry to say that although i do understand your position too. at least you should have realised about the old peoples. hope that one day you will not face this situation otherwise you will know how it feels. there were even people around when you were trying to be rude and serious. try to deals as proffessional and not like if the person is a .....
very low cost presentable reception area
tv remote wasn't for the tv, no manual control on the tv neither. most of the draws didn't open or were broke. couldn't fully close the window
TV damage, lights didn't work, poor shower strength/size and discomfort in the bed. However, for the price, it's worth it. £84 for three nights in a double room for a gig at the NIA.
