Warm, comfortable room at reasonable, competetive rate. Very good staff.
Had problems with card key.
Shower was discussing could not use it. Curtains were hanging off. Drafty windows!!
No kettle in room, radiator didn't work - had to ask twice for someone to come and sort it out, no curtain/ door on shower so floor got soaking wet.
Everything, the staff terrible, cleanliness was disgusting, from mould on the curtain to crumbs in the bed!!!
" Upon arrival the entrance of the hotel of the hotel was lovely, very modern and inviting. The rooms were the very antithesis of the downstairs reception. My friends and I booked 7 rooms and 2 were inhabitable. The smell I cannot describe. Those rooms credit to them were changed promptly, but all in all the the general hygiene of the place is questionable. Cracks in the shower floors, ripped curtains, mould along window seals, stained carpets, amongst other things. Long story short I wouldn't recommend it pal..."
The staff are not bothered with anything, not polite, rooms can be very old, dirty and smelly, you have to ask for a better room. Staff knock on the door in the morning to make sure you check out on time even though we know what time the check out time is. Definetly not going back. Rubbish hotel.
Awful Hotel but as the header says, you get what you pay for.
on staying the perevious week and giving a good review I decided to stay again only this time it was shocking.dirty room wallpaper hanging off stunk. carpet worn out ,tv never worked
dirty pillow cases smelling of smoke windows would not close properly paint on areas and dampness
Easy access to city centre
Very bad experience!
Everything was bad...
Help full staff.
The Larger was 2 pound a pint, you could bring your own food. The hotel rooms priced reasonable.
The food menu is terrible, the showers were terrible!! the beds were broken.
The beds are comfy
Holes in the room
Not a lot! Out of 3 rooms only one was worth the money
Most of it! Superior double was dreadful. Small, cramped room with additional single bed (not advertised). Indifferent, rude staff. The whole set up was all a bit car crash! Would not recommend nor use again.
The second night when I was moved to a floor that had been refurbished.
The room allocated was no 48 and a real shock. The sliding secondary glazing was missing, making it very noisy. The shower was a complete joke and not fit for purpose. Two plastic waist high movable walls were all that holds the water in the shower tray. The shower water leaked under both of these. To get out of the shower I had to push the plastic wall forward, releasing a gush of water as the drainage was blocked, which flooded the floor. No manager on duty to complain to.
The staff were friendly and helpful Location is excellent
The first rooms we were given smelt horrible. One smelt of cigarettes as there not a smoking policy. The second room was really bad. I think it's because it's near the bins. The rooms were made your skin crawl. The staff put us in one of the refurbished rooms on the top floor which was 100% better but these rooms just look tired and I dread to think how dirty the carpets were. The hotel needs a massive injection of money to at least make 6 - 12 rooms 100 times better, new beds, mattresses, bedding, repainting everything. Even though the rooms are cheap, that shouldn't be an excuse for offering your guests a dirty room. Not acceptable at all!
Holes in doors, carpet sticking up so girlfriend fell over it, wall decoration not good with holes in it. Thin curtains so outside lights showing through. Curtains dirty. Not impressed with the so called full English breakfast & fact had to walk outside in the rain to reach restaurant.
WE live near by. Only other thing's were the sheets were clean & paint work was marginally an improvement on last room
Where are the rooms shown online? It was my husbands birthday on the 14th Feb wanted time to ourselves. Was very upset with it all. Homeless people live there. The lift, corridors & doors dirty, shabby. The room an absolute filthy mouldy state. Given another room bed was broke, cobwebs, chair filthy & torn, shower only hot no cold, bathroom door could not shut. It was to late in the night to look for some where more habitual.NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!.
Location is great.. easy to get to places.
No parking.. not even on the side streets. Took ages to find parking.. had to walk to the hotel which wasn't good. Parked car further away from Hotel.
not far from city
no visitors allowed in my room
nothing special there.
not having wifi and have to pay. room telephone not working.
The rooms we got given were very poor nothing like you see online, very disappointed
