Checking out The Hotel was in absolutely disgusting condition, the rooms and the corridors were filthy, the staff were rude, unfriendly and not helpful. The pictures on the website are very misleading. There was hair from previous occupants all over the headboard, the walls were very thin, I have since found out from reading other reviews that the local council uses this hotel to house homeless people which is why it is full of young, drunk loud people who are rowdy all night long. Also the hotel is meant to be no smoking but it smells of smoke absolutely everywhere and the staff don't bother to stop people from smoking in the building.

I did not enjoy anything at my stay in the hotel! The room was very dirty, smelly and uncomfortable, the hotel staff seemed quite rude, and the hotel itself advert's itself to be a top hotel, as this was my first stay in the Norfolk hotel i did not enjoy it I shall not be making any further reservations at the hotel and I have even 'warned' friends and family not to stay at this hotel. I felt so uncomfortable and frustrated in the room that I actually left the hotel to stay with friends.

Location was ok, nice and quite. The rooms were dirty, covered in dust, the beds were so hard it was like sleeping on concrete. The bathroom was so small u could only just turn round in it. And the sink was 7 inches by 5 inches, a shelve above the sink stuck out so u could not brush your teeth or spit out tooth paste in the sink unless u turned your head side on under the shelve. The bedroom itself was filthy, months and months of dirt and dust, the only seat in the room was disgusting and was stained and stank, we had to remove it and put in in the hallway to stop the smell. The heating didnt work and the room was freezing, the windows were covered in black mould and the whole room smelt damp, which it was. I would never stay there again. The rooms were for single person. Not big enough for 2 people sharing.

When you book a hotel room in a big city for 30 pounds, you can't expect luxury, and it was perfectly adequate. The hotel clearly attracts some disturbed individuals, one of whom had the room next to mine, which he proceeded to trash at 1am. I eventually called the reception staff, and got dressed, ready to flee if my neighbour came through the wall. In the end the police arrived and made all of us on the floor feel we were bit part players in a police drama. Interesting as a one-off, but not a place I'd want to go back to.

Price, beds was very very comfortable, new shower was excellent it is currently undergoing refurbishment and I'm sure once finished, the rooms and hotel will be beautiful! Great value for money. If u can bypass minor cleanliness issues, the bed will give u an amazing nights rest. The light fixtures, tv, and headboard were all very dusty and hence ruined my first impression. The drawers were also broken. The shower room only had soap and shampoo whereas other hotels I have been to have small packs of toothpaste, lotion, and soap. I would definitely stay there again as it was a very comfortable night, just the cleaning needs to be addressed properly.

Reception was very professional and friendly. When I requested for toilet tissues they did take long to bring them. Public transport easily available. Free parking facilities. Cot bed was already in our room for the child. Towels very clean. Furniture in our room 387 was very old drawers no chest of drawers no handles to pull out the drawers. Carpet stained did not feel comfortable to take of my shoes. Bathing tub stained, bottom sheet on the single bed in the room were there was a bumk bed was stained colour of rust what ever it was it appeared like blood that did not get washed properly. The lift was not working I came with a baby and I went up on third floor by stairs. Walls to corridoh needs painting and carpet changed.

The only good thing about this hotel was the price of it for 3 days. The staff was very rude very unhelpful, not allowed visitors which I find is ridiculous. This hotel needs refurbishment the pictures on the site look totally different to the actual room I was in. Food wasn't included in the service making people feeling like a tramp because they cant eat food unless they pay extra. The Television channels where rubbish only had channels 1-5 and all the other channels didn't work I might as well have stayed at home.

Price!!! If you are streetwise then for £23 then this is ideal if you just want a bed for the night... I was a little concerned because of all the bad reviews, but you can see they are trying to renovate this hotel, theres even a brand new lift, the plaster around the lift doors was still unpainted. Dont expect luxury just expect a clean bed of fair comfort and a clean bathroom. A dated room in need of new carpets and furniture, but otherwise fine for the price... The tv worked fine and there was all the usual amenities and extras, like tea/coffee makiing facilities...The shower took a little while to get hot but it was clean even though a little untidy...Maybe not the Ideal place for a family but things could improve soon...

Bad service from staff, not friendly very judgemental.. Arrived at the hotel and was given a bad room bed was broken no handles on the draws, toilet leaking, smelled and corridors were very bad. Then complained and was given another room which was even worse than first, then a mate asked again and finaly the 3rd time we was given a satisfactory room so we took it and changed. Was dissapointed as we booked the room for 2 people but our friend could not spend time with us for a couple of hours and was mmade to leave in a very harsh way. Water was cold from shower had to wait so long for it to warm up after it was sorted out. Not clean rooms, limited tv up to 5channels only, old furniture and very old windows hard to open. Don't want to go into eny more details about how bad the whole experience was but I wouldn't recommend norfolk hotel to anybody.

The rooms didn't match the photo's I'd seen online, the reception area was very light and modern but unfortunately my single room was dark, the bathroom small & the shower had not power at all. I always expect good bathroom facilities & found that it didn't live up to the expectation I had from the internet brief

This hotel is in a great location with a bus stop right outside the front door with city centre buses going every few minutes. The lobby area is very good and wifi is available for a fee of £5. Hotel staff weren't very welcoming. When I arrived, the man behind the desk was more interested in texting on his phone than helping me. When I got to my room I was shocked at how run down the rest of the hotel was. The halls were filfthy and my room was in desperate need of rennovation. I don't expect too much from a budget hotel but I do expect things to be clean and tidy. There was stains on my bed sheets and the paint was flaking onto the floor in the bathroom. The walls were like paper and some youths kept on setting off the fire alarm. The cleaning staff also just come into your room without you answering the door. One day when I was in the lobby, a homeless man was lurking around and asked me where the hotel staff were because he needed a place to stay. He said to me: 'the place is filfthy up there... I am an old age pensioner and was told to come here for a place to stay' I don't know what is going on here but I get the feeling this hotel is used as emergency social accomodation. Enough said.
