I did not enjoy anything at my stay in the hotel! The room was very dirty, smelly and uncomfortable, the hotel staff seemed quite rude, and the hotel itself advert's itself to be a top hotel, as this was my first stay in the Norfolk hotel i did not enjoy it I shall not be making any further reservations at the hotel and I have even 'warned' friends and family not to stay at this hotel. I felt so uncomfortable and frustrated in the room that I actually left the hotel to stay with friends.

Price was right location was right.. i have a n I booked an early arrival and late departure but there was nothing on their system so on arriving i could not change before my meeting and didn't get back to check in till 12.pm so i had very little time or a place to freshen up it was an uncomfortable day for me. The lift. the halls and the general areas were filthy though my room was very clean To many staff doing nothing in doorways to exits and fire escapes smoking. Large room for improvemnet breakfast was excellent value except the chef should learn that sausages need to be cooked properly and browned off not served half cooked.

Nothing whatsoever ! disgusting, disgraceful Hotel set in Birmingham Central. Run by Amateurs who could not even spell the word 'CLEAN ' Ignorance and bad manners best describes the Management. One receptionist to cater for long queue spending most of time on phone keeping Customers waiting. Rooms were a disgrace, bed linen had not been ironed and were wrinkled and distressed. Room was filthy as was the lift area. Cleaner in lift was cleaning walls and leaving the corners unswept. She stank of body odour as did several of the cleaning staff. Breakfast was a farce. ! yesterday's corn flakes remained unswept on the floor, tables were chipped and unclean. Condiments were placed in a "Nestles" Counter display stand. The whole breakfast was COLD with no offer being heated by the lazy staff member. A total disgrace placing Booking.com in a cheap and nasty category catering for poorly run so called HOtels who simply don't know what they are doing..This place made us angry, and uncomfortable and we felt like were in a doss house.. disgusting, disgraceful and should be reported to health and Safety who we feel would close them down immediately..

there was nothing i liked at all the rooms wasnt very clean the curtains were hanging off pole, a leak on bathroom floor the bathroom door had a dent in it as though someone had punched it there was only one teacup instead of two the carpet was full of marks and in places as though it had something stuck to it, also the skirting boards was absolutely filthy and the noise at night lasted from around 10 oclock at night until 5am banging doors people talking loudly music playing very inconsiderate we were looking for something clean and central as very shortly my husband as to go into birmingham hospital to have a big operation and will be in upto 10 days hoping everything goes well and we were hoping if this hotel was ok i would stay there for the length of time he was in hospital however i will now have to look again both for price and location

Location and breakfast Wifi available on paying £5 but only in the reception. Was very inconvenient to do my work as I was on buisness. Only 2 TV channels working ( BBC 1& 2) all others scrambled. Not good when travelling alone and have no company if you are unable to use ipad or watch telly in the room.

Very friendly staff, hotel was very basic. stay there if you want a value for money experience not if you want high quality. clean linen and bathroom, some stains on the wall and electricity didn't work in the other room we had. Overall good night sleep in a clean bed.

Location brilliant for our purposes. Bathroom was nice and modern. Hotel stank of rotten smoke, attention to detail non existent- a bit of paint would have made all the difference. Graffitti on window sills to the tune of "im in room no. ..... please come and rape me, oral included!" Gladly didnt have my kids with me. At 03.15 after 2 hours I had to shout to other guests to stop making so much noise shouting out the window to other rooms... Noise eventually ceased about 04.30. My words to my partner were " after breakfast were out of here as quick as possible and never coming back to Birmingham" The last straw (albeit language barriers) was giving the breakfast monitor our room number, his reply "no you cant eat." I told the front desk that we were refused entry and I wish to be refunded the money and I will gladly go elsewhere...after a few minutes with my intervention and direction of advising the receptionist to speak with the monitor we were (unfortunately at this time) allowed access, so reluctantly quickly ate our breakfast and left this place as quick as we could. It would not take a lot of effort to upgrade this place and educate front of house staff, but as is, it is cheap and you get what you pay for.

Apart from the location being good, the hotel rooms need to be refurbished. I was there in 2007 and it was an excellent hotel. It's really deteriorated since then. I certainly won't be going there again.

Price! Fully covered by cctv The hotel was fine for the price but decor was tired and in desperate need of a good refurbishment. The walls in our room were marked and wall paper hanging off. The wood work was rotten. The chair in the bedroom was damage with all the fabric hanging off. In reception I looked down to find a trail of ants crawling across the floor. Fire alarm went off at 7.30 and after a couple in the next room having a domestic for over three hours with door slamming it was not appreciated :~(

absolutely nothing!!!! The rooms were dirty, they were cold, the rooms were falling apart, missing things, had holes in the doors, fire exit was paddlocked shut, receptionist seemed rude when speaking to another customer on the phone, the food was hard and looked like it had been out for ages, there was wet patches on the ceiling above when the food was, it was not worth the money.

It was convenient for getting to the nia and icc. That's it. Anyone seen The Most Exotic Marigold Hotel? This is Birminghams very own version.... The place is falling to pieces. There were drawers missing from the bedroom furniture. My tv didn't work (and was replaced with yet another tv which didn't work - I gave up trying to get one). The heating couldn't be turned down or off and the window had to be wedged open. The over-flo for the shower was blocked and full to the brim with stagnant stinking water. The lift was actually built in to part of my room (it was L-shaped, with the lift filling the area which would have squared it off). Noisy. The corridors and my room had a stale, old food and fags kind of a smell - lovely! I know this place is cheap but I believe I paid enough to expect a decent level of hygiene and comfort. I would never go back there.

The only good thing I can possibly say about this hotel is the location is good if you want to go to Broad street. Terrible! As I had been checked in and got to my room straight away the smell of stale smoke hit me, I sat onto the bed which had a dirty towel on it and heard some banging around in the bathroom - As I swung the door round there was a plumber in there fixing something! I am a young woman travelling on my own and did not think this was fair at all. After 15 minutes of alkwardness with us both in the room he left and I went to have a look in the bathroom. It was discusting! I would have felt dirtier after the shower and the state of the toilet was unacceptable. The room looked like it hadnt been cleaned properly in weeks. The remote control for the tv was sticky. There was hairs on the bed. The hotel was so revolting that I refused to stay there and went to another hotel. I was not offered a refund and they are still trying to charge me for the cancelation fee from the next night. Do not stay here!!!

The descripion and photos of the hotel must`ve been very old. The rooms very dirty, way too smal, the beds old and uncomfortable and also not clean. This Hotel is ok as a one star but not 3 star. Half of my group refused to stay at this hotel.

The place was a complete dump! Never in my life have I seen such filth. I did not feel safe at all. The pace stunk, was damp, filthy dirty and we heard rats at night. It is not fit to put a dog in and I will be reporting it to the environmental health agency and trading standards as soon as they open. The hotel is not safe!

Disgusting, room stunk and was generally dirty. Regardless of how cheap it was it was still far too expensive for the standard of room and general cleanliness. It smelt of stale smoke as did all the bedding and the bathroom was a disgrace with electrics on show, all in all a horrendous night
