Tiny rooms - staff not particularly helpful

Good location, close to Kings Cross.

Very tired looking hotel. The hallways and stairs are very worn and threadbare. There is an old hotel smell to the place. The room appears to have been refurbished, pity that the common areas haven't also been tidied up. Noisy windows which rattled through the night with the wind.

could hear and feel the underground subways as they passed - we were on ground floor

The hotel was centrally located next to kings cross, only a couple of minutes walk. The room was clean and facilities in the room were pretty decent. Friendly enough staff on check in.

Very expensive forwhat it is, only chose it because of limited time in London and good location. The breakfast cupboards as my son called them were horrific places to be when busy and the breakfast itself was very very poor. Distinct lack of service after sitting for 15mins and helped our selves to a bowl of cereal each, without the offer of tea or coffee or toast. Then promptly left and when to Starbucks which is only a short walk away.

Room was small but ok.

Could not get an early breakfast which we had paid for!! Only a hot drink and a yogurt. People should be informed about the exact time's breakfast is available and what's available.

Excellent price for a one night stay. Very friendly staff and excellent service.

breakfast room inadequate. range of products poor for breakfast......juice machine awful. Fridge for cold drinks.

The hotel is in a very good situation, only a two minuts to King's Cross estation, but in a calm place. The employeers were kind and answered all our needs.

The room was in subsoil, was cold and humit. The heating wasn't work fine and was very noisy. Finally we can stay more or less weel with extra blankets. It's not an hotel for stay a lot of time in it.

The narrow hallways to get to room but only a very minor problem

cosy nature of hotel, with interesting stairways and irregular lay-out of rooms nice tray of coffee/tea/ biscuits with large drinking mugs (very unusual, because cups in most places are far too small) nice shower

front sash window did not open easily to allow for ventilation in general, the room was stuffy and poorly ventilated, and there were no instructions as to how to turn on the air conditioner very limited space to move around the room

It was clean and convieniently placed for the Eurostar, very frendly and breakfast was available early.

the style of the room and the bathroom was well designed

the bedding didnt smell particularly fresh, and i was able to hear the people in the next room

Very narrow corridor and small lift.

The staff were super friendly and efficient especially Elias. Great location walking distance from the Eurostar or tube.

Breakfast was a bit basic although the staff did their best by supplying lots of toast

The price, the cleanliness, the decor, the location, that we could stay for one night (the European Hotel had a two night minimum stay for weekends),

That we couldn't check in early, we arrived just after 12, we really would have liked to have a shower and change. And the breakfast, we stayed at the European Hotel last year for a few days, it's at least £12 per night cheaper but includes a full English breakfast or a continental breakfast, your rooms and staff are much better though
