Score from 519 reviews Good
Good value for money, excellent shower, comfortable bed.
There were stains on the walls which looked drab, in need of a fresh coat of paint. Room was very small, but then the price was very low. Fire alarm going off accidentally at 07.30am.
Great location just a short walk to all the city centre attractions; a modern, tidy feel to the hotel with a touch of history too; comfortable room; nearby multistorey car park at a reasonable special price
Breakfast felt a bit too basic. Ear plugs as standard in the room hinted at potential noise issues outside (which we fortunately did not experience!)
Breakfast and location
Room to small
Nice large room with a king size bed. Good breakfast and central location
Too noisy in the evening although you are supplied with ear plugs
All of it.
Very central location, helpful staff, big, clean, tidy and functional room and bathroom. Will not disappoint, whatever your expectations.
It is quite difficult to find by car and you are recommended to park in the local NCP Car Park which was expensive. Minor issues though.
I loved the location as it is central to everything in Nottingham
The size of the room, and at check in i felt the staff could have been more friendly.
Hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.
The room was so tiny, very crampt, staff rude and seems frustrated about the fact that there were people in the hotel with wedding parties.
Location, would use again, because of this, but check out others first, deffo not first pick
9 am, shower alternates scorching, cold, scorching ,cold, not had this in 20 years .2am noise on 4 th floor LOUD from outside, earplugs beside bed, 1st for me, know its central, but triple glazing surely more apt
Was a lovely hotel, close to amenities and shops, lovely gym.
I understand the hotel is in the middle of lots of bars and restaurants but the noise was awful at times. The noise of other guests coming home at 4am clearly from a night out was also unbearable, no respect for others.
Very convenient for our daughters graduation. Friendly staff and nice clean rooms. Nice white crisp bed linen. Comfortable mattress.
Our daughter had a problem with the shower in her room. Even when the temperature dial was on cold, the water was still too hot.
Lovely clean room and comfortable bed. Lovely shower and tea and coffee in room. Could not fault the room.
Had lots of problems with my booking despite calling mercure on more than one occasion to verify my card details.
Great room, very clean, centrally located, decent breakfast. Lots of complementary extras which included free soft drinks in the mini bar, toiletries, use of coffee maker, dressing gowns & slippers. Thank you Alex (bar-man) for getting in our car & directing us to the car-park, otherwise we were ready to give up & go home.
Getting through Nottingham one-way system was a nightmare. Car-park a 2min walk away but 10mins by car if you DON'T lose your way through the fairy ring of one-way streets, a lot longer if you do (& you will!). Shower was rather weak for an otherwise high standard deluxe room. No mirror close to power points, which was ok for the hair-dryer provided (it had a very long cord) but useless for my hair straighteners.
Very good location Good breakie Good bed Great wifi
Hard to get to hotel in a car due to the one way roads which is not the hotels fault of course Small shower
good location, great room very comfy bed helpful staff.
nothing we did not like
Great location in the Creative Quarter. Comfortable accommodation even if a little cramped. Staff are very efficient and professional. Great value for money.
The hotel is located very centrally, near to some lovely bars and restaurants. Also close to Museum of Crime and Punishment and the City Caves, the main reason for visiting Nottingham.
Wasn't keen on having to park car in multi-storey car park but it was only 2 min walk and hotel gave a discount on the price.
In good location
In the centre of town close to bars and restaurants
Car park was not on site
hotel atmosphere sewage problem food
Staff - Nothing was too much effort Location excellent
Take care - Find the car park before arriving at the hotel - Nightmare of a one way system! (Not the Hotel's fault!)
Location; friendly staff
Uncomfortable bed; very small window in room
The location is excellent and the staff very friendly.
The room was very small and we couldn't get the wifi to work.
Fantastic staff. Beautiful hotel. Great location. Surprisingly good value considering the quality of the hotel. Definitely would return.
Very well situated in centres of town. old world charm with comfort of today
lift was a bit scary but that made me find the lovely staircase!
