Quality of the room was very poor; small, dark, many features did not work properly; we provided a list so hopefully the hotel management have addressed the problems.
Staff were friendly Room size was decent The location is great for everything An okay fitness room
Central location with nearby car parking facility
Given its in the city centre it does get noisy at night especially at the weekend. Although the hotel did supply earplugs!
Great for visiting our student daughter
Bit noisy at night, but they did provide ear plugs !
The location and good food
We stayed in the executive room and there was everything in the room we could have needed. The room even has an Nespresso machine which was a nice touch! Huge bed and very quiet room which was air conditioned.
Everything no complaints at all
No tea making facilities
The bed was exceptionally comfy and the sandwich from room service was really nice. The location was great as was the welcome to the hotel from the staff.
The floor was wonky which made the wardrobe wonky and ruin the look of the room although I'm sure a fitted wardrobe would easily resolve this. Some of the staff were really friendly but others couldn't be less so. The shower looked fantastic but was rubbish, seriously lacking power and the floors were dirty. We only expected it to mediocre however it was still a little disappointing for the price.
Lovely hotel and staff works stay again
Great value a brilliant location
Location; friendly efficient staff; discounted parking rates; fantastic shower.
'Classic' double room (309) dominated by the bed leaving no circulation space. Room felt claustrophobic and dark. Bathroom similarly small. Upgrade offered at a price but basic rooms not well sized. Redesign of room furniture could free up useful space.
City centre location, great staff.
Parking was difficult to find and a short walk from the hotel.
This hotel is very clean & modern. The location is perfect for a weekend visit to Nottingham. The staff were very welcoming & friendly, in particular Adrian & the barman. Rooms are well designed/equipped & furnished. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will most definitely be back again soon.
The room and the facilities were clean and they pay attention to Heygiene. It is a good place to stay at for a short period of time. Excellent location.
The fact that I have to check out at 11 am while the check in is around 3pm. The room was too small for me.
Not being able to sleep
Sounds silly but the best part (apart from the central location) was probably the wifi. It was not only free but also strong, which was perfect for my stay as I had an online meeting to attend.
Actually, I didn't dislike anything!
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile. My friend had arranged with the hotel to decorate our room with birthday balloons and a banner which was a lovely surprise for me. Room very clean. Lots of extras - iron and ironing board, safe, bottled water and plenty of wardrobe space. Reception staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
The room was poorly lit as it was on the back of the hotel. The view from the room was of pipe work and no natural light able to access through the window but for one night was manageable.
The location was great for easy access to Concert venue at FM Arena and also right in the centre of Nottingham for shopping, eating etc.
Everything was great except that there was a sewage type smell in the room (424) which was unpleasant. As we were on a tight schedule with timings and we were going to be out for the majority of our stay, we did not report this until check out. Staff were most apologetic and were going to report it straight away. We were assured that if we had reported it the evening before we would have been moved to another room. Other than this everything else was excellent. It would not put us off staying there again.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the room was lovely and very good value for money.
The only problem was slight noise from outside but it was fully expected when i booked because of the location. It didn't affect my sleep though so not a major problem :)
Clean, good room size and comfortable bed.
A bit of a hike to parking, struggled to understand how to get to the hotel to drop bags, due to the confusion with trams. So had to walk with all our bags from the car park. Street was noisy during the night, from late night pub.
This hotel is one of the best hotels I've ever seen before. It is located in the center of Nottingham which is really convenient and the staff there are really really good with politeness and they are always there for you. The breakfast is good as well which I love the most. And the house keeping is good because they will totally clean the room which is impressive.
The wifi in the room sometimes will stop working which is a little annoying.
Staff was helpful, location is brilliant
the facilities seemed aged, it's much less comfortable than Nottingham Mercure.
Had a very lovely stay with Mercure. Staff very friendly. Perfect location and room was perfect. Booked the small double so knew I was getting a small room but had enough space for a young couple so individuals will be fine too.
Just feel it's slightly more catered for business men. Had no full length mirror and the mirror in the bathroom wasn't in reach of any plugs. So hairdrying or any styling or getting ready was made difficult. Wouldn't put me off again though.
The location is good - central for the Lace Market area of Nottingham. Very atmospheric, supposed to be the oldest hotel in Nottingham. Most of the rooms are of a good standard. We were warned there may be noise from a party on the first floor, but heard nothing of it.
A quite belligerent receptionist greeted us, must have had a bad day, and in the end I needed to tell her to calm down. Never had a reception like it. Also the bar closed to residents at 12:15AM so my guests went outside the hotel for a final nightcap. Apologetic staff in the morning, but too late by then. Breakfast - tea and coffee pre-made from thermos flasks - bizarre. We will not return.
