Excellent location, right next to the train station and within easy reach of the shopping streets, bars and tourist attractions. Good value for money! When we arrived, the lights in our room were not working. However, as soon as we notified the management, this issue was quickly fixed.

Staff were very friendly It was a quite confusing layout! Nothing on the ground floor and had to go up to floor 3 to reception. Then up again to our room. Bit of a maze! could do with a bit of a refurb, here was a dent in the wall which looks like it my have been a fist imprint! also a hole in the blanket. wouldnt stay for more than 1 night

Location - ideal for shopping in the city. Right next door to the train station - ideal as we arrived by train. Also very handy for taxis. Very friendly staff. Nice big thick curtains! Stored our baggage as we were too early to check in. Whilst showering I found the shower curtain very irritating as it kept trying to stick itself to me as I was washing! Also the water from the taps wasn't very cold (for drinking). Noisy for traffic (although to be expected as we were right in the centre).

Very little actually You want to know what we did not like about the hotel but not write any complaints?? Poorly maintained, towel rails falling off the wall, the safety chain on the door put on backwards, no hot water at midnight, none at 5 am and non at 7:30 am. The auto-temp shower faucet was mounted backwards,a higher heat setting gave a colder shower, a lower heat setting boiled my bits and pieces. I think that the builder was a cousin of one of the directors as it is hard to see how anyone else could get away with such shoddy workmanship.

Another of many stays at ths Hotel. Location is excellent for the Rail Station. The fact that you have to ask for and pay a deposit for the TV remote control at the reception. Although I have stayed many times I always forget and the Hotel does not prompt youm, with will you need to use the TV!

The price was very reasonable and the rooms were of adequate size. On arrival, the security guard/desk clerk was appallingly rude to both me and my girlfriend and it wasn't until an older gentleman took over with the checking in were we treated with any respect or any semblance of the service a hotel should offer.

Discovery Inn was clean, freshly decorated and friendly. The hotel was good value. The breakfast was also good value. The bed was not very comfortable and the room was uncomfortably hot. Traffic noise was a problem with the window open.

good location and could check in after 2pm, the reception also arranged rooms mext to eachother on request. the rooms were also reasonable size and bathrooms clean with fresh towels. it stank of smoke even though no smoking, and we found an empty lager can in the room under the bed, also the beds were squeaky and not very comfortable. also had to pay a £10 deposit for a TV remote!!

The location of hotel is brilliant, straight across the road from railway station. The main shopping area is just a few minutes walk away and there is a pub next door and cafe across the road. Reception staff were friendly. It is ideal if you are on a cheap weekend break and want to be close to everything. The building is old so dont expect any mod cons even our toilet door wouldn't shut properly but the bed was ok.The room was nice and clean but the windows do not keep out any noise from the streets below. Most of the other residents seemed to be on hen or stag nights so early morning wakeup with noise is likely.

Room was cold but at least radiators worked when turned on. There was a problem with flush on toilet as tank did not fill. Unable to get cold water from tap, only hot water. Did not receive apology or offer of compensation by staff when they were informed of these things. 100 percent satisfaction was not obtained when it was stated guaranteed .

Stayed in room 135 for a one night stay with a friend as was going to see a band. The room and facilities were great - basic, yes but exactly what was needed. Loved the fact that should I want to stay out late I didn't fear getting locked out etc due to the excellent system that you use. Really enjoyed the stay. If I was really picky I could have picked some faults... But the place was clean, service excellent and only had one real complaint - the door kept sticking and was so hard to shut without a loud bang that could well have disturbed anyone in the next room. Get that problem fixed then the overall stay was great!
