Discovery Inn - LeedsBishopgate Street, LS1 5DY Leeds (Show map) Good, Score from 783 reviews“Perfect location if arriving by train as it is directly opposite the station. It is central to the city, amongst all the shops and night life but very quiet in the rooms and I had one facing a busy road. Clean rooms and the one I had was a very good size. Was able to leave luggage securely on my last day whilst I went shopping.”

Excellent location right beside the station. Room basic but clean and comfortable. Irritated about the need to go to reception and pay a £10 deposit for tv remote (didn't bother!). Breakfast uninspiring

I liked the fact it had a hair dryer, I can travel lighter. A chain on the door for security reasons. Good location. Can't fault how clean it was. Price fair because I only paid £40.00 would not pay full price ever. I didn't like the smell, I smelt of stale smoke. Fire alarm went off around 6am is this because people were smoking the their rooms? Its more the backpackers or students very noisey at night people swearing and shouting, McDonalds empty boxes found in corridor next morning. Miss a bath.

Close to station. Lovely friendly girl on reception. Both hot and cold taps came out boiling hot. Got in from clubbing at 3am. A guy was stood inside the front door with his genitals out waving them around. Obviously this is not the hotels fault but i'd have thought the night porter would have seen this on the CCTV and asked the man to go to bed, or called for police assistance.

Location Had to climb up a mountain to get to my room, tenth floor no direct lift. The shower basin was blocked, turned out when i reported it they already knew !!!!!! toilet leaking, informed reception , no offer of compensation or an apoligy " oh yes it did that last week" was very very annoyed. Never been in a hotel where you have to pay £10 to have a remote so you can watch television. Would advise anyone not to stay here, was not the pleasent experience it should have been.

the location was very good, right in the city centre. we were placed on the 6th floor, but the lift terminated at the 5th. This was not made clear in the booking, and we are both pensioners. The rooms had just been painted and stunk of paint fumes, which set the firealarm off on two succesive nights at 4am.

The location was very good, opposite the train station and close to the shops. The staff were helpful in answering questions and giving directions. My room was in the front, which was quite noisy, with the traffic passing down below, perhaps the windows could be thicker..Maybe a little more choice at breakfast.

I chose this hotel because of the "free" parking. I was given poor directions to a car park whereni had to right roundnthe loop road to get there. When I was told I was in the wrong car park, the receptionist told me it would be easier to stay where I was, which ended up costing me £20. You have to give a £10 deposit for a remote control!? The room was cold and the bath and sink were not the cleanest. Every time I ran the tap, black bits came out. I will not stay there again and will steer people away when ever I get the chance!!!

The location of the hotel is excellent and the room was clean and tidy as well. You have to pay deposit for the remote control for the tv. There is no access to internet in an location of the hotel for free so, you have to pay for it and it is really expensive.

Situated nicely within the city, 2 minute walk from train station and 5 from the main city centre/bars/night clubs, etc! Hotel staff friendly, room exactly what I was looking for - spacious and comfortable! The only thing I disliked was the lack of cool water coming from the bathroom tap.
