Cheap, convenient location right next to station, free wifi
Toilet is a little bit smelly
Staff and quality of room
Comfortable, clean, convenient, very close to everything
Construction site, potential noise issues (although acceptable for next to station), seedy decor
Easy reach from the station,NIA and Birmingham centre
Unfortunately building work is going on at the station so there is a lot of noise early in the morning
The location was excellent for shopping in the bullring and also only around the corner from the train station. Staff were very friendly.
Noise for nearby construction works.
No curtain at the window had to use the bed runners Dirty Noisy expensive hovel
Bed was comforable. Bathroom very clean. Staff were very polite. Easy check in/ out.
TV was tiny, couldn't see the TV listings from our bed. tea spoon was dirty. Building work being done right outside our window.
Location, was handy for the Bull Ring for shopping and eating, but also handy for location of my conference. Room was single, and therefore small, adequate for my needs, and spotlessly clean. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast.
Road noise from rear of Hotel. Was a humid night and unable to open window because of noise. No remote for TV, which was really frustrating. Although the shower was lovely and hot, wasn't a great deal of pressure from shower head.
Spacy rooms, next to New Street station
Chairs and carpet felt dirty, probably because their old and a bit torn out.Windows were facing a wall, one cold hardly see the daylight.
Grubby Shabby Run down Poor value l internet price
Close to train station, bullring, markets, pubs and clubs, good all rounder.
Unfortunately building work going on right next to hotel, due to railway being updated, but didn't really affect our stay.
We walked to the train station, restaurants, Bullring Mall, and pubs. It was myself and 2adult children. The triple room was big enough to house 2 twin beds and a double bed. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination. Large bathroom.
The fan in the bathroom did not work so the bathroom and bedroom had a damp mildew oder. The bathroom looked clean. No mildew substance.
the bed was okay.
tatty, old, dreadful breakfast, dodgy area
Anything! Worst hotel I've ever been to.
some guests were very noisy!
Poor shower pressure - only a trickle of water came out. Really not good enough. Far too hot in the whole hotel - uncomfortably hot.
was ok typically get what you pay for
construction but isnt hotels fault but it is a must know if you want to sleep
Clean and good central location for a few nights in the city.
The room was too warm.
Was near shops and city centre the rooms were clean
Was too hot and felt agitated no fans or air con provided and didn't like how windows were built
Great location, the room was clean and comfortable bed.
There are no windows in the rooms and no Air conditioning
Good Central Location Cheap Price
Shower Pressure was Low so Shower didnt work in room 405
The location is perfect for staying over with travelling via train, checking in and out is very simple.
The noise is out of their control with the construction of the station; once that is done it will be much quieter. The room was very hot with not much to do in the way of cooling down. Sink Water from cold tap never got to really cold, nor did the hot tap get really hot.
Great staff - really friendly from the front of house to the cleaning lady. Room was fine - clean & everything worked. Great location. We LOVED the elevator - it is a great feature and talking point!
No Air conditioning and it was really hot (Didn't expect any for the price). But unfortunately the room we were in had a short 2 foot gap to the room opposite. The first three nights there was a very loud group partying - it was like they were in the room with us! The night staff did try & quieten them down, to no avail. And to give the hotel credit they refused to let them extend their stay.
