Very good location close to the New Street Station. We stayed in the hotel in the middle of the June 2009 heat wave and the room had no air conditioning. |

for a city centre hotel-very quiet. unable to have a cold drink, even though we were residents the bar was not open to us(we tried to get a drink at 22.55 on one of the hottest nights of the year and were shown complete indifference hence no below) |

It was in a good location, right in the city centre and right across the road from New Street train station. Checking in and out was quick and simple and the staff were polite. The room was basic but it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. It was so warm!!!!! we were only staying one night but we barely slept it was so hot, the radiators in the corridor were on full blast and even with the window by the bed open fully all night, it was still really stuffy and uncomfortable. |

The staff were very friendly and we were in our room very promptly, no delays at all. The breakfast was very good value for money and filling too. Shops are in very close proximity to the hotel which meant we could pop back to offload our purchases when we needed too. The train station is literally across the road which is brilliant for those travelling by rail and the bus stops are also nearby. Great location and very nice staff. The room was very warm so maybe the heating could be turned down a bit, having said that the weather at the weekend we stayed was very close so it wasn't all down to the room. |

Nearest hotel to New Street Station - literally spitting distance. Very tired looking hotel with old and smelly interior and noisy, especially if you are towards the road. You get what you pay for. |

Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Tea/coffeemaking facilities in the room were good. Room (twin beds) was quite spacious. Bathroom was clean. Room was not in very good shape: parts of the wall-paper peeled of, the carpet had stains, and the windows -- facing a noisy street -- were not insulated. |

This is definitely a budget hotel and don't expect the Ritz but it offers fantastic value for money. Literally a stones throw from New Street station and all the City centre sights and centres within 10 minutes walk. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean bedroom and bathroom, instant hot water, good full English breakfast all for £60 for two through this website. In 2009? Can't believe it. It took a bit of finding from New Street station but once we got there we found it was literally facing a side entrance to the station. A large scale map or directions should be made available to people who are booking |

leaving The hotel is situated in the city centre near the train station. It has a very tired and weary look . The room was clean but everything seemed very used - the TV remote control was held together with sellotape - the fan in the shower room was rickety and loud - the mattress springs dug into my back - lino was lifting etc. |

Directly opposit Birmingham new street station (right hand exit from platforms) and only five minswalk form Bullring shopping center. Price of breakfast put us off, £7. Found a nice cafe about 10 mins walk away opposit The Square Peg pub that we went to instead. |
