The best thing about the hotel is its location (did my headline give it away??) We walked from the main tube station to the hotel, and from the hotel we had easy access (walking or by tube) to other major tourist spots.
Other than the affordability (by London standards) and the location (not an especially terrific area but convenient to the major train station and a terrific pub a block away) the hotel has little to recommend it in the way of staff or comfort.
the closeness to all road and rail facilities and all the major attractions of London
The breakfast area was rather small and felt could have been included in the overall price
If you are easily disturbed at night the trains may be a problem
Location was ideal as it is central and within easy walking distance of Victoria coach, rail and underground stations. Couple of good restaurants within 5 minutes walking. Room was clean and well serviced during our stay. Separate proper beds for the children.
Room was a bit on the small side and breakfast is a on the basic side - plenty of options nearby.
Room very clean, confortable bed, very well decorated. The location is perfect, 5m to the victoria station, 1m to Golden Tours all waking distance. Next time i go to London i will return. I recomend... ;)
The only major problem we had was with the noise of trains passing all the time , if the windows were double glazed it would solve everything. Ps. Breakfast would be perfect if we could had cheese and ham, and real fruit salad.
Above all it was clean. Good position for coach travel.
Wake up call did not work. Room very warm and in case the window could be opened it would be very noisy from the railways.
Situated close to Victoria station, room decent size, nice bathroom. Friendly staff.
Beds were OK but perhaps a bit too firm and mattress did not feel high quality, however this would not stop me from staying here in future.
Room was stuffy and aircon units were the only view outside the window so could not open the windows because of noise. Slope in roof was ridiculous. Safe did not work. Lift went only to the 3rd floor yet we were on the 4th. Very small and unpleasant room
The receptionist is very rude. I could feel the mattress springs, which was a pain all night. I wonder how people rated it so high, very loud trains passing by It feels like earth quick ...do not recommend
The location is superb right next to London Victoria. The staff is very kind and willing to help. The room was so nice!!! Wifi was fabulous and really everything about the hotel is very good!
The train passes right beneath the building and it can be a bit noisy some times. That is all !
Staff very helpful
Wi fi usage was too limited
Closeness to city
Rooms were clean. Breakfast although just continental was great (they even had those custard Danish pastries I like). Extremely good value for money given a London hotel. Wi-fi worked very well.
Room was quite small. Bed was only a single (not really a minus but I am just used to a double bed). No evening meals available at hotel (as I was having to work in evenings as well at hotel this would have been useful). Noise from train station was a problem. Also my room was right next too lift causing further noise issues.
close to coach or trains 2nd time for staying there will stay again
Room was nicely renovated. Great location
Room was very small. Staff not particularly friendly
Could not sleep properly due to close proximity of the railway station. Should invest in double glazing.
The room was smal, but clean and ok, but no windows let in daylight.
The "upgrading" meant two floor down to basement. The emergency exit from the room gave no feeling of to be safe, two floor under ground.
Location next to Victoria station
Very small based at room, heating was on full, staff unable to turn it off when asked so the only solution by then was to open up the window that was then both draughty and cold.......have I had better value for money London hotels that were also in reasonably good locatiosn, the answers yes.......it's not all about the cost and location.
Location was only 5 minutes walk from our office party so very convenient. Beds comfortable and shower good.
Room was a bit small but big enough for 2 of us for one night
The short walking distance from Victoria Station and plenty of restaurants from which to choose without going to the Covent Garden/ Soho areas
The noise of trains entering Victoria well into the night and then again early in the morning.
good location, and tidy and clean rooms
the breakfast may be too simple and less choices. the show seems not effective in terms of warn water.
Great location to Victoria (5 min away) and walking distance to centre sites. Compact but comfortable too which was perfect for a base. Who wants to spend time in their room on a trip to London!! Good value for money hotel.
Didn't have great breakfast facilities if that was needed but handy to cafes and coffee shops.
Was very clean and comfortable. .excellent location
The comfort inn backs on to train station. .didn't get much sleep during the night. If you are a heavy sleeper than you will be fine
Everything place clean and comfortable.
