The price at £40 for the night was attractive. We refused the first room offered as the shower cabinet was broken with a missing door. The window let in little natural light as it faced a brick wall and it felt claustrophobic. The staff gave us another room. The kettle did not work but was replaced by the staff. The bed-side light did not work (it wasn't the bulb - the whole unit was faulty), Overall, a disappointing stay but for one night - it served its purpose.

Ease of getting into city and the price. Room small and beginning to look tired, i.e. mattress protector badly worn. Bed hard, window closure broken, bathroom fan permanently on.

The room was very very Old fashioned and stank - of cigarette smoke - it look like it had not seen a coat of paint or paper since the 30,S. The shower was also broken and a small shower curtain had been attached instead of a repair being undertaken. The only good point was clean linen and beds which were fairly comfortable.

Very little apart. From the car parking which was good. We did not like the old fashioned room in the annex. The windows were Dirty and the frames were old and broken. The bed was hard and we could not lower the radiators in the room as a result the heat was unbearable. The laundry was clean but the room was cheap looking and Victorian .

The comfort inn was clean and tidy but very tired and dated, staff were friendly, and the free parking is excellent as many hotels now charge. You get what you pay for and nothing else. The biggest problem was how thin the walls are, you can hear toilets flushing, talking, opening of beer cans flicking of light switches etc, if you are a light sleeper avoid this hotel, if you what a cheap city break go for it.

Room in the coach house at the rear of the main hotel. Decent size and warm, once I'd asked hotel staff to turn the radiators on Room was pretty dirty - dust under the radiators and (blood) stains on the bed throw. Radiatior in ensuite shower room was far too close to the lavatory and I burnt myself a couple of times. Shower tray was dirty and very off putting

We have stayed here before and requested the same rooms on the ground floor as we were travelling with elderly parents. Hotel clean and tidy. Hotel was warm (it was very wet when we satyed so nice to come back to a warm hotel) but had to ask for a radiator to be looked at in rooms as they were not working, which was dealt with. Only problem was there was no thermostat on the radiator so we could not turn it down once it was working. Bed very comfortable and towels good also. We will stay again as the location is good, plenty of parking and good pub with food opposite to hotel. House keeping could be a bit better as same curtain langing off as when staying in November. Radiators need work on them, thermastats missing, couldnt turn them down when they did work.

Great location for easy access to town centre by foot and 5 minute drive from Chester zoo. Hotel was quiet, kept well maintained and staff were friendly. If making a repeat visit to Chester would consider rebooking at the comfort inn Wouldn't have minded a mini fridge in the room :)

Location, price, would stay there again 2 problems; 1; for first 2 nights (out of a 3 night stay) the heating was on full, I turned the radiator off, but it was still boiling in the room, the window was fully open but it was uncomfortable, the 3rd night was much better. 2; we left our room key behind reception and arrived back reasonably late, when we asked for our key it was handed over without any checks being made (name on room etc) this could be a security issue.

Really comfortable beds and a nice clean bathroom. It's a bit tired looking and needs refreshing in terms of decor. The television only has 5 channels and our view wasn't very nice. No biscuits with the free tea and coffee. However, you get what you pay for and we slept really well.

The location was ideal for our purpose, The beds were comfortable and the room was functional unfortunatly due to the other factors i'am not sure if we would use it again. Our room was very noisey. The ajoining room was very loud until midnight and being closse to the receiption the outside noise started again from before seven in the morning. We had a six year old child which made sleeping for her difficult. The shower was terrible it tricked out.

Not much it was convenient thats all. Free wifi The whole place needs bringing into the 21st century. Threadbare stair carpets Threadbare mattress Non digital tv Sheets and blankets (no duvet) Tea stains on the walls & skirting board in our room No bath which wasn`t mentioned on the website also a lot of mould in the shower Generally the standard of cleanliness wasn`t good with a lot of dust on lampshades that hadn`t seen a duster in ages

Excellent vakue budget hotel. The "dog friendly" policy was of especial interest to us. Some of the bed linen could be updated (duvet covers)
