City Continental London Kensington  

We have been on this hotel twice. Breakfast was good. Staff is friendly and rooms are renovated last year. Hotel is cosy and earls court- tube station is right around the corner.

staff were not overtly friendly, no toothbrushes available, not asked if everything was ok with the room / stay etc. breakfast was awful, didnt stay as it was like a school dining room.

Tiny room, broken TV and door handle, noisy.

The quality of the room was fine.

The internet was expensive and there were no seats available for breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

No cell phone reception in our room and the TV reception was also very poor.

Spotlessly clean, nice bed, friendly and cooperative staff, great location (4 minutes Earl's Court underground station), good breakfast... For the price, a very nice stay.

Room was a little cramped - but this was definitely not a deal-breaker.

Close to Earls Court Metro

Rooms extremely small. You have to request A/C controllers. 1st room - no A/C, 2nd room - smelt of cigarettes, 3rd room very limited access to double bed. Dining area is suitable for approx 30 guests but approx 50 guest were trying to get breakfast.

Situation was great. Recently been refurbished so up to standard.

Breakfast was a nightmare. Small breakfast room. Food was soon all taken so had to keep asking for things and not enough staff to keep what tables there were free of used plates

Staff where very helpful, excellent for ideal home exhibition... Breakfast was excellent.. Hotel was very clean and warm.. We where allowed to leave our baggage before check in and after check out.. Excellent value for money, near the tube station, and near local food outlets.

The only one problem, which is basic.. The tv would not tune to the basic channels.. No ITV!! This may be trivial, but we where not there to party on the town and planned to just chill and watch tv! Which we couldn't do! these are simple channels... Get them sorted!!! Please...

It was very basic, but clean and convenient to Earls Court Arena

Night disturbed by hotel alarm and staff who insisted on checking our room in case we were smoking! Housekeeping wanted access to room before 9 a.m. to clean it - even though checkout was not til eleven.

They gave us a room in the basement, saying other ones were fully booked. We also couldn't get the only window completely shut. The small TV stopped working during our first night so we were offered free wi-fi for 4 hours, although we thought internet connection should have been free of charge anyway. Reception was unenthusiastic and obviously never professionally trained to service guests.

The location and the decor of the room, and breakfast.

The noise from the Air con, and the cleaners are so loud although check out is around eleven. I did feel as though the cleaners wanted you out before then, as they knocked on my door twice. It really annoyed me.

1- there was no announcement of summer time( 31 of march ) only a paper in the lift I found it when I was make check out morning so I lost my train to Paris. 2-I made wake up call at 06 am but I found a call at 7:45 am (summer time).so if you have any program at certain time I am not recommend this hotel 3-room is so tiny .

First thing as I arrive I got told by senior receptionist that my card was declined (loudly in front of other guests), rather humiliating, things happen to card readers..then had to pay straight away..got to the room, tried to sleep after long day travelling, was put in basement, no fire exits...lots of doors banging every 5 minutes, same in the morning. Had 2 hour sleep...went out o see a friend,and tell him about this situation.. Got back to watch a film, got charged extra £25.00 for that - it wasnt booked for 2 people, not even a warning, greedey management/- but even sitting on a chair can cost you hefty, next time for £75.00 I might as well jump on Ryanair flight to Madrid and enjoy...breakfast was ok, watched some good movie.meant to have lovely Easter weekend, ThanK God diddnt book for all 3 nights .k

Everything was clean, close to tube, breakfast was of a budget type

A bed was along a window and it was cold breeze from the window. My room was very small: 2 m by 2.5 m and toilet was 1.5 m by 1.5 m. I would prefer to have information about the size of the room during booking.

Great location- less than 5 minutes walk from the Earl's Court tube station. Nice room with modern decor. Room was cleaned every day.

1) Locatin is really ideal !!!. Only 2 minutes from underground station Earl's Court which has direct line (Picadilly line) to/from Heathrow airport. And you can reach every point from this hotel 2) Very clean room and helpful staff. Highly recommended for those travellers, who arrived for city trip. For my next London visit I will definitely stay at City Continental again.

1) The rooms are clean, but really small, especially bathroom (but bathroom seemed renovated just monthes ago and that was big plus) 2) Very poor breakfasts. Probably the poorest ones I ever had.

The price and the staffs was correct. The bed was good and big. The breakfast was easy and simple.

The room was very cold and the AC equipment has a wrong tone when it was in off mode. We cannot open the balcony door because was closed by key. In the bathroom we are found a blight under the shower in the corner.
