The very friendly and helpful receptionist, who recommended a number of places to eat, which on choosing one we were not disappointed. The bed was a very comfortable one and we both had a good nights sleep. The hotel was fine for the single night we stayed. We had room with a bath room, which had some equipment in the corner that looked broken and could have come form the starship enterprise, this was a steam cabinate, that had what looked mould on the floor and had'nt been used for some time, and would have been better taken out. We had to mask for towels as there was only one same one, which after having a word with the receptionist more were supplied. Breakfast was in the main pleasant, but would have been better if not cooked and served in oil. As we are both on healthy eating plans we had to leave some items as there was to much oil on the food, the other breakfast items were fine.

The friendliness of the girl on the reception and her helpfulness in supplying me with ironing equipment as I had a job interview the following day. I was also pleased to find they had a large garage and as I was travelling by motorcycle I was glad that I was allowed to park it there out of harms way and away from any potential thieves/vandals. The shower door was a bit wonky and the mixer tap on the wash hand basin was plumbed back to front meaning when I wanted hot water I got cold, it took me quite a while to work out why this was. There seemed to be a problem with the plumbing in general as half way through my shower the comfortable stream of hot water turned into a high pressure and scalding.

The location of the Travellers inn was good and the staff where friendly. The rooms where shabby, broken mirrors stuck together with gaffa tape and the wires where hanging down from the electrics in the bathroom behind the mirror, moldy shower and shower dispenser was to moldy. Cold water only on 2nd day of stay. Window lock fallen off window and there was a draft coming through the window. All this did not aid our comfort.

The cleanliness and general condition of the rooms was very poor. Broken/cracked bathroom mirror, dirty tiles in bathroom/shower, broken/cracked sink basin (filled with silicone sealant!!!! Ripped/torn fabric on bedstead, no pillow covers on none of the pillows, small/dated television in room, poor security/locks on bedroom doors. Warm lager from the bar, no beers/lagers on draft/tap, very poor and would not recommend to worst enemy let alone friends or family!!!

It was convenient and very local to the meeting place, staff very friendly, price good although breakfast within the price would've been better, allowed to check in early. Corridor carpets need updating/cleaning odd odour coming from them, the bathroom and shower need updating and cleaning a bit better.

Excellent value for money, fast free wi-fi, good showers, comfortable bed, recommended. Ive stayed at this hotel a number of times over past month or so. My only complaint is breakfast.i only tried it once. £5 gets you, undercooked sausages(raw in middle), burnt bacon, undercooked egg, burnt burns and no toast or effort put into it. Carpets in rooms need replacing.

Cheap n Cheerful !! Bedroom was fairly clean, bedding was clean. We only stayed one night as it was close to a venue for a night out and worked out cheaper than getting a return taxi from where we live.... A little dated. Booked a double bed/room but ended up with a double base and a 3 quarter size matress on top of the double base..... Bit snug ! We ordered breakfast paying for it the night before and wished we'd not bothered. The sausage was uncooked, the bacon crisp but cold, and everything was swimming in grease. The floor in the dining room was uneven and bouncy when walked upon...!!
