The sports bar The location The staff
The lack of staff The bed covers were pretty poor
The staff was very efficient when needed. After we complained they put us in a better room
That we was sent to our superior room and it was no where near ready. No TV no phone bed in middle of room. It was having building work done
Convenience of location
Having to sit in the bar for 80 minutes to check in at 2pm.I paid extra for an upgrade to include early check in.
Bar tender very nice man
Reception staff unfriendly
The free wi-fi was quick and never dropped out during my 2 day stay
Not much parking in site, but loads of parking not too far away
I found the hotel to be good value for money, the staff where friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, eggs could be done better. A special thanks to the assistant manager who help me with a personal issue.
The eggs looked terrible, but that was my only issue with the hotel.
The bar area and bar service was good. The location is very close to the station and city centre and is also convenient for the KC.
The noise......loud creaking floorboards and people shouting in the corridor in the early hours of the morning. It's good value but the rooms are very bog-standard and could do with a refurb. Definitely not a place to impress the wife!
You get what you pay for. Good staff basic rooms but all you need for one night. The sports bar was the best place in hull city centre
Hull the hole night out would of been a disaster with out the hotel bar lol
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.Just their manner would make me consider going back!
TV in room did not work Bed; could feel springs poking through and when lying down went straight through mattress and slept on hard surface. When booking arranged an early breakfast on Saturday morning. On arrival confirmed the breakfast arrangement and was told that the gut on the phone didn't know what he was talking about 'breakfast was from 7! Went for breakfast Saturday morning to be told it didn't start till 8. Receptionist was very good and made some arrangements for me.
Cheap hotel, good bar showing sports, great location
A little bit shabby round the edges, other guests vomiting in public areas of the hotel which was not cleaned up properly
Clean and comfortable in a good location
Breakfast was poor. Cold bacon, fried eggs were a mess , all in a heap and fresh pineapple was tasteless. Breakfast was advertised on web site at £5-95 but charged £6-50!
Beer prices, location
My wife and I and two friends stayed at this hotel for two nights on 9 and 10 February 2015 (football match) and after arrival we stayed because it was less hassle than finding another hotel and because it was only for two nights. We had booked "Superior Rooms" (120 and 124), although after arriving we did wonder what they were superior to? After the first night I told the young man on reception that we had no hot water from the sink hot tap in our room and that someone had punched a hole in our bedroom door. The receptionist promised to tell the manager. Nothing happened. The curtains were just managing to hang on to the wall, the laminate was coming off the wardrobe, a design guru had decided psycho red was the way to go in bathrooms and the decor generally was tired and worn. The wallpaper looks like it is only lining paper, the liquid soap dispenser next to the sink was empty/broken so we had to use the dispenser over the bath: this was no great hardship, but hotel staff did make sure the room's tea and coffee was topped up, additional toilet rolls were provided, the bed was made and this was not checked. The hotel had a lot of working men staying, which we don't have a problem with per se. However, working men often have to get up early for work and this is not always compatible with leisure guests staying too as my wife found out when someone in an adjacent room shouted "turn that noise down" when she put the tv on quietly at about 11pm. The barman was chatty and pleasant, but the staff were otherwise doing their jobs with little or no interaction with hotel guests. We identified only five staff during our stay. Our friends in the room opposite had a similar experience and they specifically mentioned a hairdryer held together with tape. The bottom line: we paid more to stay here than we could have paid at the IBIS hotel across the road.
Breakfast service poor and lacking
The hotel, lovely an clean, the staff all very friendly and free wifi x
The staff member was kind and very helpful! The room size and bed size was brilliant The view was okay The location was great Unexpected free upgraded room
Although the room was okay! Clenliness was disgraceful! My partner dropped his phone down the side of the bed, we then pulled the bed out to notice a mouldy, rotten shriveled up condom which was absolutely gut retching! This was followed by its wrapping and other rubbish and shrapnel! This ruined out stay all together just thinking about it yet nothing was done to apprehend the matter! Not impressed!!
Bed was comfy but quilt looked cheap and thin when asked for a blanket by the cleaner got the impression it was to much trouble
No atmosphere.... everything in room. Looked like as soon as you touch it it will fall apart
Worst hotel ever got refund but damage done
Poor rob from beeford
easy access, prices, evening staff were very helpful
No wake up call happened so had no time for breakfast, just coffee. No apology offered.

Condition of rooms seems to vary (based on five recent stays)
Staff were very helpful x and wellannered
The rooms where a bit old fashioned and you couldnt co trol heating x
Great location just opposite the mainline station.
unfortunatly the Wifi was not working while we were there.
Convenient to the Station and not expensive. Personable staff. Near to shopping centre
Staff were friendly and helpful
Limited choice to eat in evening
the bed was massive! Clean and recently refurbished bathroom
First room smelt damp although no visible moisture penetration. Asked to move rooms and this was no problem for the staff. Neighbours in the next room smoked and the scent came in through our extractor, making our room smelly. We had to have our extractor on constantly to battle it. We reported this and the hotel sent a maintenance man to see what he could do. We had no issue after his visit. The above is not the fault of the hotel. Just down to ignorant patrons, but it did affect our stay.
