great all round can't fault a thing
We had a double bed which was 2 mattress pushed together and the curtains were different sizes and dirty and the heating dident even work and there wasn't enough towels
Only stayed 1 night room only
Bedroom very dated and basic.Room to hot as radiator would not turn off, when staff told of problem they offered a fan.Overall bad stay and will not be returning
Clean and comfy
Struggled to connect to wifi at times
Excellent value for money, full English Breakfast a bargain
Shower this visit could have been better
Location is great for a night out. Nice and clean and cheap.
A lot of noise and smells if I opened the window. But who cares.
FANTASTIC LOCATION FOR THE SHOPS BARS RESTAURANTS
Location, price and breakfast. Staff also very friendly
noise from neighbouring rooms was very evident even when they were talking normally. needs soundproofing.
Good price and convenient location right by Hull Train Station. Good for overnight, or short stay.
Not being able to regulate heat in the bedroom other than by opening a window onto noisy street.
Great staff, very friendly. On easy walking distance of the City Centre. Good breakfast in the morning, nice room to eat. Nice Bar area.
It was far to hot, dirty smelly old furniture that was very uncomfortable hair dryer last tested in 1994 and woke up shaking due to fire alarm which is right about the bed went off at 6am didn't sleep well as could feel springs in bed and constent noise as being close to hospital I would never stop agein wish I'd read reviews before I booked it
Really enjoyed my stay, excellent location. Very friendly staff and the room was clean and spacious
Location and cost were excellent
The staff where polite and attentive and nothing to much trouble.
For £50 per night i didn't expect too much
breakfast value for money location staff friendly and willing to help with any problems we had
had to wait a while for hot water
Excellent location, very close to city centre. Good breakfast although it would have been better if it had been included in the price.
The staff were great. The price was competitive.
There was water driping from a vent over the toilet. I personally didn't find the bed very comfortable. Our experience of the hotel was that it is used by groups of people - perhaps attending local sporting events - for a night out. There is a 24 hour bar which is obviously an attraction for some. The occupants of the next room went out for most of the night, leaving the TV switched on with the sound up and not returning until about 4:30 a.m.
It is great for the money i paid and i liked everything
Staff very good and location
I paid extra for the superior room because it had a double bed, instead of having a twin room . The superior had two singles pushed together .
I paid £5 for breakfast which was all together in one of those silver serving containers with 2 candles underneath . It was all very cold
I thought the hotel was in a great location not far from town which was good for me, as I was on crutches. The staff was very helpful when it came to helping with problems.
What me and my partner found not to like is there was a funny smell in our room like someone had spilt bleach over the place.
Really friendly and helpful staff, large comfortable room, comfortable bed, lovely clean bedding. Powerful shower too - very refreshing! I needed to leave my suitcase and they were very obliging. Lots of good points.
The breakfast was pre-cooked and was horrible - rubbery fried eggs and cold sausage and bacon even though kept warm in a bain-marie. Freshly cooked breakfasts would be a huge improvement. There was no service at all - everything on a serve-yourself basis. This hotel could be really good with some re-decoration and additional service at breakfast time. Let's hope they get it organised by 2017 for an influx of visitors for Hull City of Culture!
