nice staff very good food reasonably priced nice and clean plenty of towels
in need of bit of upgrade carpets curtains etc
Reasonable Food in the evening, good views to the sea from the terrace.
Extremely bad room/hotel. Everything is totally worn out, the "bathroom" is a bad joke (old, dirty toilet/a shower for midgets and the basin in the room). The room might have been cleaned once a month (toothpaste in the sink, dirt everywhere). Cables and pipes across the room, extremely dirty chairs (not replaced for decades). The breakfast was a bad joke: We ordered "eggs benedict" (to forget the extremely bad room) and it was a desaster again: Scorched bread with old ham and a "sauce" (should be a sauce hollandaise; I could accept that it is not a freshly made one, but definitive not such an disgusting yellow liquid) which was horrable. So we didn´t eat this "food". Even considering the very low British standards for hotels but if this is a three star hotel, a dog stable in Switzerland would rank as a five star...
location very good. staff attentive and friendly. good food.
small car park. not always able to park in hotel car park.
The room and shower-room The bright clean bedding. The sea view.
The water supply went off during the evening. The stairs were a bit old and need decorating. The lift needs a face-lift and maintenance, it stopped between floors! No parking allocation.
Staff helpful and very friendly.
Comforter very heavy to sleep under. No other blankets available. Amt of dog hair on floor in lounge area at breakfast time was not pleasant for someone allergic to dog hair.
Breakfast was very good
Shabbiness of ground floor and very old lift
Location Beds Friendliness
Good position. Clean spacious room with all we needed. Good view. Good breakfast.
Lift unreliable/safe had to be reset often-used for luggage only too small and risky for people. Stairwell hot and stuffy-seemed to be no ventilation, so really bad in hot weather, and of course we were at the top of the house.
The hotel and all the usual good stuff breakfast was good location great the staff were great, room very good. But see my comments about the bad bits!!!
I didnt like being charged for a room I did not have, and being told that I had booked another room while I was there someone had used my debit card, without the pin number this was an unauthourised and illegal act, to do so. So beware of this!!! And check your bank statements!!!!
Staff helpful, room clean with good sea view, good location.
Room needed some work; window frame rotting away and whole window moved when trying to open the window. Holes in the walls.
The bed was comfortable and the room clean.
The breakfast service was very poor. The breakfast food was poor. The window in our room was coming out of the frame.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They never stop, especially Richard! We had the last room available but it was lovely with a stunning sea view. The food was great and very affordable. Our favourite was definitely the fish and chips. We will definitely return - already looking at booking up for a week next August.
Nothing to dislike really though in parts, could do with a lick of paint maybe. Certainly didn't affect our stay!
Quiet location. Next to footpath and lift to the beach. Reasonable priced food for lunch and evening meals. Handy for bus into town. Sea views. Parking.
Minor point but ran out of herbal teas on our third breakfast.
Comfortable room and friendly staff
Lack of air conditioning room 15 broken window catches noisy outside from drinkers
Clean, good value, good food, very friendly staff and great location.
Decor is a little tired. Floors are incredibly squeeky!
Very comfortable beds, clean and spacious bedrooms and good availability of daytime and evening meals at attractive prices.
A broken window handle that prevented one window being opened on a warm summer night.
The variety of choices for breakfast
The hotel rooms provided everything you could possibly want: Tea & coffee making facilities, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, plus tv. What more could you want? We were going to a wedding so the iron & board were ideal . The rooms were clean and spacious, also the bathroom. We would be happy to recommend this hotel and we have already stayed there before, which is a recommendation in itself. We will return. Thank you staff for making our stay so pleasant.
Nothing. Everything was good. Maybe it could do with more parking space for guests, but we found a space whenever we returned to the hotel.
Richard deserves a medal he's so friendly helpful and hard working. All the staff are great and make you feel special.breakfast was lovely and room 3 was wonderful excellent value for money .Have stayed many times and will do again
Still looks a bit sad and out of date in the bar and entrance hall maybe a new carpet and a lick of paint would transform the place
Clean and comfortable room. Excellent location Relaxed atmosphere Good breakfast
Nowhere to park on arrival as hotel is also a pub so all places taken. Staff not interested in assisting. Only place to park was to pay on the seafront and walk with bags and 87 year old mother. Shower had little power and wash basin was in bedroom, not en suite.
Good staff Great view valuer for money would recomend
the views, location is excellent for a quiet seaside stay, walks, and beach access
near to the area we were interested in
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped for the money.
It looked rather shabby from outside and the bar and reception areas need some 'love'. We were pleasantly surprised with the rooms though!
