The Hotel Commodore  

Easy parking.

Room was very dirty - net curtains were black with dirt. The floors hadn't been hoovered and were covered with a previous occupant's rice dinner. I was late checking out - was suppsoed to open reception at 8.00 but receptionist late.

Comfortable hotel though in need of update but best thing was the quality of food served up in the bar and at breakfast. Absolutely piping hot.

The location as I was attending a family wedding. Although the hotel was clean. Was not happy with the hotel the lift would only take 2 persons. I had also booked my son & daughter into it my daughter has three children my son also has three children the only family room was on the 4th floor which was not good with the children being so young 4 3 and 10 weeks not good trying to get all things which you have to take with you for the age group of the children. My room was a double room which was the most expensive was small and the decor left alot to be desired. And the shower in the bath room would not work properly so ended up with a bath/shower trying to wash my hair. Paying for extra milk if it was needed did'nt seem right either. Reception also closed early

Okay. Needs refurbishing very badly. Bathroom window would not close. However staff very, very helpful. Breakfast very basic. Glen usk much better. Difficult to find parking at night. Little facilities for disabled.

Cost. Location. Friendly staff. Allowed dogs in room.

Standard of maintenance was poor. Insufficient blankets provided in a room that got cold at night.

Staff were friendly and accomodating. Evening meal and breakfast were generous portions.

Evening meal was overpriced for what it was, although it was a good portion. Could have done with an extra quilt or blanket as the room was quite chilly.

My business is within the pet industry so my dogs always travel with me, I find the Commodore one of the most Pet Friendly Hotels with the staff being very kind to the dogs. This makes a business trip far more enjoyable.

The staff are very friendly, the evening meal and breakfast was very good

The room was a little tired in its decor, the television was very small and placed where you could not see it when in bed. There was no hot water on both mornings we were there, I had to ask for a hairdryer at reception.
