Location, space, quiete
Wifi dodgy Old style Location was impersonal Not cheap enough for what it's offering
Quite spacious room Location was quiet They had a gym Good service from staff
Some updating could be done, but for the money cant grumble and does has a certain simple charm (didn't eat here)
Staff are unfailingly friendly Gym - small but has an old smiths frame Got a balcony this time!!! Location good for Hyde Park and bus routes
Good location for bus routes to Oxford street, Victoria station and other areas. Just across road from Hyde park.
we had a special deal so it was good value for our money but if you pay full price it's not worth it. We had diet in the walls (and I don't want to know what it was) and the carpet was extremely run down. The TV was missing but we didn't care as we only styled one night. Th toilet in the reception area was extremely dirty.
location, friendly staff
There were a couple of jobs that need a little attention as they let down all the beautiful original features and lovely furniture, we found it hard to find the lift /stairs /restaurant when we first arrived and rather than being pointed the general direction it would of been nice to been shown them, this did not effect our stay it's just a couple of suggestions :)
The breakfast is cheaper if booked early and was delicious, the staff were helpful and able to answer all our questions, the hotel is a 10 minute walk from Paddington and a couple of minutes walk to the nearest bus stop/big bus tour etc We were able to have our key early and leave our luggage at the hotel until the end of the day which was great, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay :)
The Afternoon Tea was not worth the money, dry sandwich and some sallad
We hade a suite and that was wonderful, enough space. The room had stairs inside to the double bed at the second level. Good location to Hyde Park and 5-10 minutes to underground.
No bar, and we were not told this - no restaurant either the brochure shows it! Very disappointing. Creaking floorboards :(
Food brill! Room comfy, staff very helpful
lower ground floor rooms are very close to the tube....ask for higher level rooms.
late check in, quiet London location and relaxed atmosphere. well priced for London too.
Size of the en-suite bathroom. This room was even smaller than 1.5 sq.m
The room is fully built by wood, so every movement, you can hear some noise. Same goes to your bed.
Good internet speed connection
Exactly as described on booking.com
Friendly staff, good value for money, good location furthermore the rooms are quite
The toilet flush in the en suite was broken, and the toilet in the main bathroom was also broken with water constantly running through cistern. This was very noisy. Also there was no way to turn the heating down. For the money I would have expected bathrooms to be in better working order. The staff were glum and when we checked in at 4.30pm they had to ring to check our room was ready. they also ignored my request for early check in.
The building is ok, a tad dated but nothing to worry about. Our apartment was nice and modern and comfortable for the most part.
Small Rooms, very dated with torn carpets in the hallways. In serious need of re-decoration. Upgraded to executive room but the shower leaked and the toilet seat was broken. Only the top of the bed sheets were changed once during our three night stay despite asking for full bed change.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Baby's cot was not very clean. Bathroom was incredibly small for people with small child.
Located at the edge of the Hyde Park, this hotel was just what we wanted. Very peaceful block, wide streets, lot of trees around. The staff is very friendly.
the main receptionist
the room was more of a one star.. room. we complained and waited an hour before we were relocated to another room.
The walls were thin.... The floors were thin... I could hear all of my neighbors activities. The hotel is tired and could do with a simple coat of paint and new carpet. It really hasn't been looked after.... And the photos do not accurately reflect the property. The staff were adequately courteous but certainly not warm or friendly. The location is the winner for this property.... But you'll need to sacrifice some comfort and perhaps a good nights sleep.
The bed was comfortable
It would be helpful to put a hook on the bathroom door.
The Manager and all of the staff were very welcoming, efficient, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and their smiles seem to be genuine. The bed was extremely comfortable The hotel was very quiet and had a comfortable lounge. Good wifi throughout the hotel. Great location in quiet road yet only 5 minutes walk from Lancaster Gate Tube Station and 1 minute walk to Hyde Park
Not great room service choice & no on site bar
Great location , I stay here a lot
Price for night was great (£65) and although no breakfast, 3-4 cafes within 5 mins walk..
Your breakfast prices are high.
The holtel is behind the competiition at this price range. We had a small double room that was in need of redecoration. Corridors had carpets which were frayed an needed replacing. Bathroom was acceptable but in need of an upgrade. A very tired hotel at least as far as the upper (6th) floor was concerned.
Good location in terms of the tube network - very convenient for central london. Very attractive area. Good looking reception and communal area downstairs. Room was clean.
a little dated in appearance
excellent location friendly staff
Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to enjoy the Victorian feel in hotel. The staff were particularly helpful and gracious. The little staircase just to the room was so romantic. A few steps from the hotel we found Hyde Park with magnolias in full bloom, along with daffodils, cherries and roses. Directly opposite the hotel is the Royal Albert Hall,it gave us the opportunity to see "Classical spectacular" - a wonderful experience.
