Arbor Hyde Park is a beautifully restored 19th-century townhouse overlooking Hyde Park. It is a 5-minute walk from Lancaster Gate Tube Station and just 2 Tube stops from Oxford Circus' shops.
Score from 97 reviews Superb
Just 3 minutes' walk from Bayswater and Queensway Tube Stations and a 5-minute walk from Hyde Park, this 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free broadband internet.
Score from 2650 reviews Good
Incompetent staff, lousy & dirty gym, very small rooms with paper walls, poor breakfast (overpriced and not worth it). Just very very bad hotel. Far away from a 4-star hotel…
Close to lancaster gate tube station 5 min walk to hyde park Stayed in the suite it was lovely would stay again staff was very nice and helpful
It was quiet
Toilet holder was annoying as bar wasn't long enough to hold roll.
There was no BBC 1 or first 5 chanel on TV
location is good.
It was really loud from drunk people coming in and making noise and waking us up at 5am, and the fan in our bathroom was broken and made a really loud noise that you could hear even with the door closed.
We stayed in the apartments which look very new. Spotlessly clean and very spacious. Great location next to Hyde park and close to local shops and restaurants which could be found in neighboring streets. It was like having our own flat. We will be back.
We were upgraded to the Victoria suite, which although without a view of the Park is a fun room and very comfortable.
The plumbing needs some upgrading, particularly fittings such as basin taps. But it all worked.
The staff were very friendly. Free wifi was great. Location was very good!
Floorboards were annoyingly creaky, I could hear people walking around in other rooms and on the landing. Bed had a rattling metal frame again very annoying. 2 inch gap under the door which I had to put a towel under to block out the noise of other guests. The room was dated, not the fresh modernish rooms shown on the website. And finally the was a constant bizarre noise late at night, I was on the sixth floor, which sounded like pipes pumping water or something!? Overall, it wasn't a bad stay after I bought a pair of earplugs so I could actually sleep. However, in no way what so ever was this hotel 4 stars! Maybe 15 years ago, but not by today's standardards. I would stay again if it were £60 a night or less but not for the price I paid.
the noise coming from the doors, very early in the morning, they should have soft closing doors, not doors that slam shut.
I stayed here after my Xmas work do, had pre booked through booking.com and got a bargain. I didn't use any of the facilities but my room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience.
Staff were very helpful. One morning I missed the breakfast and the lady got me a large plate and asked me to take whatever I want and take it to my room and never charged me for it. Claudia was also a nice lady at the reception so helpful at my arrival and the last day of my stay :)
Great location in a very safe area, lounge area, comfortable rooms, did get bumped up to an executive room so was a nice bonus. Staff were friendly
Carpets need to be replaced, looked nicer on the outside than the inside
Nice staff. Great victorian building with interesting lobby. After 50% discount - good value for money.
Strange smell in room. Moth in wardrobe. A bit noisy from big vents in patio.
Everything - location - quiet, old world charm. Excellent staff, hotel had character and felt homely.
Entrance to the hotel was stunning!
Poor service, gruppy carpets smelt of stale smoke and very noisy not what I expected for a 4*
Location is perfect
really poor wifi-signal, not enough to skype on the bedroom. Poor noise reduction walls. Cleaness
Bed very very poor ,??,,, no heating at all ,,,,,
Family room instead of double, next to lift which was noisy, iron requested and it turned up half an hour later (late for dinner reservation), un-identified noise throughout the night causing lack of sleep, no other rooms available, manager said he would call, still hasn't, not responding to emails, disappointing all round. Paid a lot of money for a sub standard service and room. Out of character for me to complain but attempting to seek a refund, if the manager ever responds, as he promised, when I spoke with him at checkout. On an another note, the room looked nothing like the website pictures.
This is the first time I stayed here. Great location opposite the Parks with easy access by bus anywhere in the centre of London. For the first time we never used the Underground! Close to all the best shops!
Nothing, this was a real find!
The hotel is situated very close to Hyde Park. Nice with Space. Very quite during nights. Nice and helpfull staff. Close to Tube (City line). Good bathroom. Plenty of hot water.
Worn out room, especially the floor carpet. Small room.
Lovely reception area. Good full English breakfast and lovely coffee. Friendly staff. Free wifi for 1 hour
Room in basement at end of narrow corridor, a definite fire trap. Badly painted door. Double room small but adequate for 1 night stay. Bathroom ridiculously small, with the normal shower, toilet and washbasin but no room to dry yourself without hitting something. A/c unit started making funny noises in night (although switched off) which woke me up and then started squeaking which put paid to anymore sleep, although husband slept through whole thing. The room certainly doesn't fit with a 4 star hotel. Would not stay there again.
Upgraded to suite by staff Friendly staff
Unfortunately central heating didn't work to our room. They gave us electric heaters and no doubt heating us fixed now
Pleasant helpful staff
Bathroom was poor
Room cleaning only every second day, old bathroom, old carpet, small cupboard
Upgrade to an apartment Quiet location Nice distance from the Underground Hyde Park across the street
No WIFI for 3 days; complained 3 days; had the feeling that this was a known problem. Upgraded to an apartment but it was 4 stories high, no lift and the floor in the hall was life-threateningly slippery in socks; Saggy bed
