Commodore Hotel    

Short walk to hyde park, nice and quit location, helpfull staff.

Breakfast is is very poor and not up to the hotel standard rating.

Although the hotel is not too bug, the rooms are relatively large, well decorated and maintained and comfortable. Staff are particuarly helpful and friendly.

Resturant was not open other than for breakfast.

We didn't actually stay long in this hotel, checked in at 9pm, ran straight back out for dinner, and then checked out at 9am after a quick breakfast. Room was large with a TV, wardrobe, tea and coffee, and decent view. Breakfast was included and a continental so very quick and easy. Just what we needed in location we needed.

Ensuite bathroom was quite small, a tiny shower and with the unadjustable showerhead meant it was quite difficult to wash hair at a comfortable angle.

We were allowed to check in before 2pm.

I was bitten by unknown insects while sleeping in the hotel. The wall of the room is not sound proofed and I can hear my neighbor’s coughing at night. During the first night I stayed in the hotel, I was having a shower around 11am after getting back late from seeing a play in West End and to my surprise, the next door neighbor complained about the noise (which is caused by the shower) and the reception rang me asking me "how much longer I will have my shower for!". I cannot believe that in a four star hotel - even having a shower would disturb your neighbor. The worst experience in the hotel was that my finger was almost cut off when I was going through narrow staircase to the breakfast bar with my right hand trying to reach the handrails, the door behind me was closing with my index finger trapped in the door hinges. My index finger was purple for several days. This heavy door is on the ground floor which leads to the restaurant on the lower ground. I will never stay in this hotel again and don't recommend this hotel as in my eyes, it has not reached the 4-star standard.

Breakfast service was poor - pot of tea took too long to arrive and I was not offered any breakfast at all! Not good enough.

Staff were good and the place was clean.

The room was too small and in the basement. You couldn't see the sky. Dark and grotty. There was noise at night.

Located in a beautiful white victorian house very close to Hyde park. Walking distance to the shopping at Oxford street. A nice room with alot of old charm. Not luxury in any way but charming.

Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Try the afternoon tea!

Fantatic hotel, my husband and i stayed in Lancaster London for 5 days, we are satisfied with its exellent service, room cleaning,location ,comfortable bed and also valuable price, we has also introduce to our friends.

Very good bed + we had a quiet room on the 6th floor. Only 5 minutes walk from Lancaster Gate Underground. Very friendly staff, good bathroom.

The Internet is outrageously expensive: £ 3 per device per hour. That's £ 12 for one family for an hour wifi. The first morning coffee no longer tasted good, but that was only one cup. The next time the coffee was ok.

The location was perfect. It's on a very quiet and safe area. No noises at night. Lancaster Gate underground station was very close, as well as Paddington Station (for the Heathrow express). The breakfast was included in the room rate which is very convenient.

We were upgraded to an executive room with a terrace which we appreciated as it was a special birthday. Easy walk to Paddington, the tube & the Albert Hall. Sandwiches & hot chocolate eaten in bed at midnight. Nice clean & comfortable room & a very nice breakfast with lots of choice.
