the staff are extremely helpful. We phoned to say we would be checking in really late, they were polite and they did not make us feel unwelcome in anyway when we did finally arrive.

The breakfast was the best that I have had in any B&B in the UK in years. Plenty of choice, well presented, good service and good quality products. The hotel has god parking and is on a bus route direct to the city centre. Good wifi in my room, which was at the exdtreme back of the hotel. Kettle and plenty of sachets for tea and coffee in the room. Good desk surface the width of the room. My room, #15, had 3 single beds, which made it rather crowded. There was no convenient power outlet for the kettle on the desk, and I had to use it on the floor.

Breakfast was good. Room was fairly quiet, away from road. As the room was a triple it was very spacious (have stayed before in a single and it was very small and close to the road and the noise). The shower and toliet was good. Although Wifi is free and available in the hotel and some of the rooms, it wasn't available in my room - maybe installing a wireless repeater would be a good idea for the back bedrooms? I could have taken my laptop to the bar but I didn't bother in the end.

The room was really big and had a jacuzzi. I had a double room even though I had asked for a single one. The sheets were a little smelly, and I would have preferred a shower rather than a bathtub.

We booked the Commodore as a very last minute stop over on our way up North. Booked at 11.30am and arrived at 3pm! Couldn't have felt more welcome by the staff, they made sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the room rate could not have been better. Would definately use it again for a stop over. Seemed to be a lot of noise at night but this may have been down to the location more than anything else.
