The value for the money
Lack of staff in reception
The Staff where really helpfull and when,at 2pmin theafternoon, we asked for the location of the nearest cafe, they made phone calls to three diffrent cafe's to find out if they where still open and if they were still serving meals.
Owner was very friendly, place was fairly clean and apologetic for many thing that were not working. Breakfast was good. The owner is looking to improve.
Heating was not working, tv was not working, I had to fix it myself, decor was poor and the car park not clean. The dining room had mixed old furniture. I felt that the price paid was too much for the stay and for the facilities.
Comfortable, clean with a good breakfast
Inside and out looking very tired with the need for up dating
The staff was helpful. The place was very old but the staff was trying to make our stay nice. They are renovating now.
The location, the room, the tv was old, the toilet didn't flush properly. It looked very dated.
Hotel just on outskirts of town so not too noisy at night. Reasonable rates and staff are welcoming and friendly.
No a lot of hot water for everyone to bathe or shower in morning. And bacon was over cooked on the breakfasts.
The rooms were nice and clean and looked very nice. The owners were very friendly.
Breakfast was undercooked, toilet had a large crack in it,staff couldn't work out how to use the TV.The other room I booked with mine was totally the opposite side of the hotel
What can I say cheap hotel you get what you pay for
The bathroom bolt in room 9 stuck on so extremely hard to unlock
I have nothing good to say about this hotel
their was not a enough parking places the breakfast was not great some of the food was burht the beds were not great we did not get a good nights sleep and the rubbish from the hotel was left in black bags in the car park
no bar facility
Hotel was located close to city centre.
Room was quite dark, very little natural light. Cooked breakfast was cold.
IN TOTAL NEED OF REFURBISHMENT
Room needed some LTC
Very friendly and welcoming staff.Excellent breakfast.
It is a run down guest and not a hotel. The so called Honey-moon suite had tatty old underlay of the carpet you dare walk on it! The Hot bath jets didn't function & the bath tub & the rest of fixtures were dated to 18th century. The place is inappropriately advertised as a Hotel and we wanted to drive away as soon as we pulled into the car park. I was looking forward to unwind and relax but on the contrary caused tension and distress Booking.com should compensate us for the distress and the inconvenience caused to us just for an overnight stay
good and friendly atmosphere
see the above ratings, especially the vfm. the night porter was exceptionally helpful.
Location was suitable.
We were told breakfast would be until 9am. Next day we discovered at 8.35 the kitchen was closed. No refund was offered. Overall cleanness of the place leaves lots to desire. The room seemed to be a makeshift addition to the main building. Should B&B's be allowed to sell such accommodation?
Friendly and helpful staff nice sized room good location too
Checking out time at 11 and breakfast 7-9 needs to be slightly later
Location suited me for work. Free parking. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable room.
The hairdrier wasn't working.
Hotel needs hot water.plus a whole refab.
Beds were comfortable and location was okay
Checked in on Saturday 28th June by Gavin, check in was quick and efficient. We were informed that all keys had to be left with reception whilst we were off the premises, which we adhered to. Left our belongings in our rooms and went out for the afternoon and evening. We returned at approx11.30pm, the night porter was fast asleep in the chair, the front door wide open to any one wishing to enter the premises. We asked for our keys for rooms 11 and 15, the guy was unable to find the keys for room 15 and looked for the keys for 3/4 of an hour. He apologised and said it was his first shift ( although he went on to say he works at the owners other hotel, The Stage) and was new to the hotel, then he made a call and was told where the skeleton keys were, at this point he went off only to return to tell us that someone was asleep in one of our rooms! Our luggage from room 15 had been removed and left behind the reception desk, where the night porter was asleep! Anyone could have just walked in and took it as the guy was asleep, we had to wake him up to ask for our room keys. It transpired that my parents had been moved to room 16 for what reason we do not know as both these rooms 15 & 16 are identical with triple beds in each . My parents took room 16 as the room is ground level, on the Sunday morning when they got up they discovered a garden snail in their bedroom on the ceiling (which we have pictures of) along with a spider and cobwebs in the bathroom. My parents were very angry that their personal belongings had been removed without notice and their consent, this is not acceptable especially when both rooms are identical with three beds in, then to have an issue with the keys as well, not good. Why couldn't they just put the other guests in the vacant room 16 instead of switching?? Breakfast...where do I start, there is a photo on trip advisor and booking.
good breakfast nice dining room near M!
