Although placed in a recently newly decorated room which looked modern, the workmanship was shoddy, a basic DIY person could have done better, the tea tray with kettle was on the floor and was not refilled daily, there was no table or place to sit other than bed, no hangers for hanging clothes just a rail in the corner, small piece of soap was only item in bathroom, had to ask for toilet rolls, white towel had brown stains, shower although looked like tiled recently there was lots of grout not been cleaned away, hot water was not always available (diff times of the day) so first up would probably get a hot shower)english breakfast was in catering trays that were heated by some sort of temporary burners and sometimes food was not available for example on last day when I had to leave there were no beans, eggs or bacon and only one sausage left couldn't wait for refill as had to leave to be on time at course. The dining room was too small to incorporate everyone although there did seem to be a good choice off fruit, yoghurt and cereal . Parking was an absolute nightmare, small and difficult to manoever, additional parking was offered in Sainsbury car park round the corner. Staff did say they had only had the business for last 7 months and were slowly but surely attending to things, they would have been better doing a room at a time and getting it right rather than trying to do everything on the cheap, the hotel was used by contractors on a regular basis and the basic accommodation and wood and building components all over the car park probably made them feel very at home. My friend had paid for a double room which was painted brown with poor lighting and had no window, they moved her the next day (we thought as a favour to her ) but it was a single room as they needed her room with twin beds, I would not recommend to anyone, nor stay again. You get what you pay for but even this I didn't feel was value for money.
The staff were friendly
