Nice English Breakfast. Off Street Parking
Bathroom not great, but ok for what you pay.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Car park on site.
Next to a noisy road. Hotel is in need of a refurb but you get what you pay for!
The toilet door was missing, there was no curtain rail and the room appeared to be just built but not finished, the walls were paper thin, and I had a water tank above my head.
- The noise was ridiculous, people making noise till 6am -walls are thin - shower door was broken -room was very small with a small window facing out to god knows where?
Fire alarm activated at 01:25 firebrigade arrived but no staff from hotel on site. There were two contact numbers to call out of hours, but neither number was answered. Messages left but no one turned up or replied. Even the next day. Fire brigade left with alarms still ringing. They continued to ring until 06:45 when breakfast chef arrived. No apology offered and no return call. The chef did not know how to make scrambled eggs. Unbelievable.
Seemed ok, 5 beds in the room I booked for three of us! At first I thought it was brilliant until I found out it was a dog for prostitutes! Lots of toilet paper Spacious Fairly clean Brand new kettle Expected it to be worse than I heard
Mould on ceiling and both taps in bathroom run hot water! No soap in bathroom Found out it had been closed the week before as it was used as a dig for prostitutes! How embarrassed was I! But too late, id booked it already :(
Bed was very comfortable. Good location.
Hotel was noisy and the room out date.Peeling Wallpaper .To expensive for what you get Comparing Other hotel.
- english breakfast was ok
The room didn't have a window. So the air was heavy, hard to breath with smell of mildew. The carpet dirty with crambles. The kettle dirty. For two people they only gave us one towel for everything and it was stained. The microwave was also dirty. It was the worst hotel experience I ever have. And above all it is in a bad neighborhood in Nottingham. I had high expectations and I was really sad after my stay. I felt I was treated like rubbish.
Bedroom was no bigger than a broom cupboard. Decor non-existant. Carpet, threadbare and just dumped in room. Bed should be on a skip. Sleeping (not) on springs. Central heating blasting away all night so like sleeping in a sauna room. Car park far too small for number of guests. Owners nowhere to be seen. I WANT A REFUND.
Excellent value for money and staff most helpful and attentive
Location and Breakfast
The beds were very old and soft .
Crack in walls Top missing from hot water tap Bath drain rusty Ceiling tiles stained and discoloured
The photos on booking.com and their own website is nowhere near what you see and experience at this hotel. Misrepresentation comes to mind.
Room was warm Staff were very friendly It had off-road parking Could get a takeaway and eat in the dining room Breakfast was ok
Bed was very cheap & uncomfortable Bathroom floor tiles were all cracked No shower curtain above the bath No WiFi access in my room Dining room closed a 21:00 Place looks untidy as extensive building work in progress
Proximity to city Car park Wi fi
Blocked bathroom drain
Very helpful staff member stayed late on reception to check me in as i was severely delayed by traffic. Same member of staff on at breakfast, good food, very friendly. Room nice size. Shower had plenty of hot water. I felt safe as a single female. Very close to M1 and East Midlands Conference Centre. Good parking on site.
The mattress was very poor on both beds so you could feel the base as you sat down and i had to use the spare quilt from the other bed to cushion it a bit. Rooms were not very soundproof.
The moment when we pulled away and I saw the reflection of the place disappearing in the rear view mirror.
I didn't like 1.the moment when we got back to the "hotel", tried to enter one of the rooms and soon found that it was occupied by another startled guest who'd been booked into the same room after we'd already picked up the keys. 2.The team of workmen who broke out the power tools at 7.30 am. 3.The chest of draws that partially collapsed when I put the kettle down on it. 4.The bloodstain on the bed. 5.The general feeling that I was not going to leave without being beaten up by some thuggish workman or with some gipping disease.
The one thing I did like is that it had a roof for the night, It was quite close to the M1 This is the sort of place where you have a good night out with the lads or girls , get pissed , roll in and collapse on the bed, wake up in the morning, throw up , stagger down stairs and eat the hangover breakfast and leave thinking that was a good night out and the hotel was cheap for £20.00 for the night !
Greeted by staff that I thought were lodges, both were sitting down relaxing , one with their feet up on the sofa, I know I was late arriving but get a little professional in greeting your guests, The other who greeted me I couldn't really understand what he was saying and I don't think he really understood me either ? this is typical cheap labour to keep the place ticking over, very polite, nothing wrong there but I just didn't understand them , No phones in the room , no internet connection even though the pass code was in the room this didn't work , Really basic room ! Very old looking room and ensuite, in desperate need of updating, The kettle had old water left in it, There were no towels in the room so I couldn't have a shower that night until I called someone in the morning to guide me to where they were kept, Eventually the same guy turned up in the same clothes then proceeded to cook breakfast for everyone which was cold, eating cold beans reminded me of my camping days when I was a kid so there is some positives there, I was the first person up so I thought it may have been fresh and hot ! I really thought I was back in my hostel days travelling, paying £45.00 for the night was £25.00 over charged, I would have quite happily paid £20-25 for the night for what I had with no complaints, But next time Commodore Hotel please leave towels in rooms as I really would have loved a shower that night after the long journey I had to do, I just got up , I eat half the breakfast as I was hungry, made and drunk my coffee and went , Not for me I'm afraid, I should have been offered a better rate or reduction in cost as there were building works also going on, or at least been told prior to my arrival, This hotel served a purpose but should have been cheaper,
shower was warm, room was off the road so quiet.
lounge smelt of cigarettes when we walked in on Saturday evening, no real coffee or marmalade for breakfast, only cardboard brown bread not a loaf to cut. Shower clean, but behind shower door not clean. duvets very thin, had seen better days
accepted pets,staff very accomodating
broken bed, shower unit on /off very tight to operate window bad fitting gale force wind until I stuffed newspaper in all the gaps car parking very few spaces for amount of guests.work on extension more like a building site.
Location and the fact that it had a car park.
The bathroom was falling apart, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling just above the bed (ready to drop on us), the WIFI did not work, there was no ice for drinks at 8.30pm???, breakfast of full English was a JOKE - plum tomatoes??, fake suasages - had no idea what I was eating. Seriously, for the amount of money I paid for 'the honeymoon suite' it was money down the drain. Certainly not returning ever. Considering I used it in June 2013 and loved it, hence my return, I just do not know what has gone wrong
Big room,close to shops,takeaways etc
Couldn't get WiFi signal, bed was broken, most of tiles in bathroom were broken, all bath panels were hanging off, sockets were hanging off the wall,no towels in bathroom,no heating it was bearable for wat we paid but would be in no rush to stay again
Everything parking bed no room service rubbish in bin for 3days smell outside of room
Low cost, convenient position.Rooms good for he price
