The reception staff were extremely friendly but sorry to say - absolutely nothing else!
Place was filthy. Bed had springs sticking out and very uncomfy, light had no shade only bare bulbs. Smoke detector covered with black tape. Shower door wouldn't close so floor got soaked (which was Lino so very slippy) showerhead and entire bathroom filthy. Building work being carried out externally and no lights on - too much to list!
This B&B was close to my meeting point. No Bed bugs and I did not get food poisoning.
The B&B is very run down, with lots of damage in the rooms, internal walls. They said this was down to party they had in previously, but the damage looked old. I thought about a finding a different B&B, but as it was after 10pm and it was only one night I put up with it. The fire alarm was set off twice in the night, which did not help my prep for my meeting. Breakfast was basic.
nothing ,didn't bother to let me know that there wasn't a room for me as they had a flood, travelled all the way from torquay. in fact they were decorating in the reception area total dead loss !!!!
We have stayed before and use for the convenience of position near family and because we travel with a dog
The current state of the place. in fairness the owners told us they had just taken over and renovations were taking place so we expected this, but not the fact that the room had not been checked, no toilet roll, towels or light bulbs that did not work. On pointing this out, things were put right
Our room was very big and had tv, tea & coffee facilities, fresh towels
Stairs were being decorated so at the moment they are bare with no bannister just the fittings
Hotel room unclean, dated , tiny, toilet had a massive gaping crack, shower seal mouldy, we booked because there was an option of gluten free breakfast as I am coeliac and staff didn't even know what that meant, so I went without (which was a blessing when I saw and smelled so called breakfast )
Mold in the shower
the curtains was hanging of the rails. bottom of the shower tray was dirty. no hot water to have a shower,
Friendliness of staff
unfortuanately nothing we have stayed in 5 hotels this year booking thro booking.com and this was the worst
mould in bath room not cleaned handed keys by a couple of lads in hoddies didnt even attempt to stop for breakfast sorry no thanks not again if this hotel recommended by booking.com will look else where next time
When we complained that we had not been given the honeymoon room with spa bath that we had paid for the staff were very apologetic and gave us a refund and a bottle of wine
Hotel is obviously in middle of building work, was very dirty, moldy bathroom, spa bath apparently"knackered". Don't book the honeymoon suite!
good breakfast warm clean good budget hotel
sheets pillows and road noise but the hotel cant do a lot about that
Nice English Breakfast. Off Street Parking
Bathroom not great, but ok for what you pay.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Car park on site.
Next to a noisy road. Hotel is in need of a refurb but you get what you pay for!
The toilet door was missing, there was no curtain rail and the room appeared to be just built but not finished, the walls were paper thin, and I had a water tank above my head.
- The noise was ridiculous, people making noise till 6am -walls are thin - shower door was broken -room was very small with a small window facing out to god knows where?
Fire alarm activated at 01:25 firebrigade arrived but no staff from hotel on site. There were two contact numbers to call out of hours, but neither number was answered. Messages left but no one turned up or replied. Even the next day. Fire brigade left with alarms still ringing. They continued to ring until 06:45 when breakfast chef arrived. No apology offered and no return call. The chef did not know how to make scrambled eggs. Unbelievable.
Seemed ok, 5 beds in the room I booked for three of us! At first I thought it was brilliant until I found out it was a dog for prostitutes! Lots of toilet paper Spacious Fairly clean Brand new kettle Expected it to be worse than I heard
Mould on ceiling and both taps in bathroom run hot water! No soap in bathroom Found out it had been closed the week before as it was used as a dig for prostitutes! How embarrassed was I! But too late, id booked it already :(
Bed was very comfortable. Good location.
Hotel was noisy and the room out date.Peeling Wallpaper .To expensive for what you get Comparing Other hotel.
- english breakfast was ok
The room didn't have a window. So the air was heavy, hard to breath with smell of mildew. The carpet dirty with crambles. The kettle dirty. For two people they only gave us one towel for everything and it was stained. The microwave was also dirty. It was the worst hotel experience I ever have. And above all it is in a bad neighborhood in Nottingham. I had high expectations and I was really sad after my stay. I felt I was treated like rubbish.
Bedroom was no bigger than a broom cupboard. Decor non-existant. Carpet, threadbare and just dumped in room. Bed should be on a skip. Sleeping (not) on springs. Central heating blasting away all night so like sleeping in a sauna room. Car park far too small for number of guests. Owners nowhere to be seen. I WANT A REFUND.
Excellent value for money and staff most helpful and attentive
Location and Breakfast
