Good,
Score from 190 reviews
“I liked the location which is literally a stone's throw from Sand Bay beach. The room had a sea view and had excellent facilties. The restaurant in the hotel had a comprehensive menu, including their carvery, which was reasonably priced. It is always a good sign if local residents use the restaurant, which is the case here.”

If i am honest there was nothing i liked about hotel other than the location We arrived at hotel & we were shown to bungalow room was very dated stuck in the 80s no pictures on walls very plain but clean, bathroom shower is no good if you are a tall person is mounted on wall across bath with glass splash panel on side of bath so very tight fit.Bed was comfortable but did not get much sleep as big generator lorry was outside our room at 6am & now to the worst bit the breakfast it was buffet style & had been sweating for at least a couple of hours no one had even touched the sausages there were only egg yokes so my partner asked for scrambled egg it arrived micro waved so could not be eaten. All this was mentioned to reception before we left but was told manager was not there but would be in touch via email if food was cooked fresh there would also be a lot less wastage.

Friendly staff, quiet location, good food. actually stayed in the detached house next to the hotel. Somewhat dated, but functional. Would be nice to have upstairs room so that we could see the sea. felt a little cold, but fan heaters in the room did warm it up a little.

Found the staff friendly. When booking for 3 nights, did not realise we would be staying in their annex which in fact was just a run down house in the car park. The room was average guest house standard. The central heating was on a timer! 0700-1000 & 1800-2230 which we found really mean and had to go out and buy a fire as temp dropped to 4c when were there. Had problems getting into the room and the annex front door as the keys supplied did not fit the locks correctly and you had to fiddle around to get the doors open. They promised to oil the locks but did not happen Only went to breakfast one morning as the quality of the breakfast was just not worth getting up for. We left 1 day early as we could not stand it any longer.

Leaving. The unprofessional reception staff member Megan. Reception should have informed us on arrival of an event taking place at the hotel and when asked about it she lied on the time it finished and basically didnt care and it was reception thought but tough.

The Staff were all very helpful and polite, breakfast ran out and they did their best to replenish as soon as we told them. Couldn't do enough for us. They hadn't received our Booking confirmation, But fortunately they were able to accomodate us still. All round a nice place to stay and good value for money. The Beach opposite was beautiful for a lovely long walk on Sunday morning. Plenty of parking in the Hotel Car Park and only a couple of minute drive into the centre of Weston-super-Mare. Thankyou for a lovely Stay.

I liked hotel because the staff in general were pleasant, the food was of good quality. There were some lovely walks, and genarally it was peaceful. I wanted a relaxing break for me and my son, who are struggling with bereavement, and the commodore hotel catered for us very well. The noise from the late night music. No sky tv in the bar for sports fans. The music played in the background was not siutable for the clientale. However these did not spoil my enjoyment of the weeks stay. There was nothing available for younger children to amuse themselves. Perhaps a pool table or a games machine

Very mature couple stayed for one week in mid-January. Warm welcome and porterage. Room looking out towards sea as we had requested was wonderfully warm day and night. Beds comfortable. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout. Plentiful variety for breakfast and evening carvery (@ £11 for 2 delicious meals) and selection of wine reasonably priced. Spacious parking. Would go again and no hesitation in recommending to others.. Sea view rooms are on 2nd. Floor and there are three flights of stairs with no lift Very difficult to locate on first occasion without a satnav. Plumbing is antiquated..

I. was quite upset with the room, mainly the decor , wallpaper falling of, paint missing, cobwebs etc and the windows needed a real good clean. The breakfast was nice but there were cobwebs all over the lights on the walls and again windows needed cleaning
