Great, relaxing stay, right in the middle of the moors, very atmospheric location. Very friendly host who gave us lots of interesting anecdotes about the local history and had plenty of info about things to do in the area. Breakfast was lovely.
Can't think of anything
The full English breakfast - in particular the porridge and the bacon
Lovely country position. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly. Loved the farm.
Very bumpy approach drive.
we liked the deep peace and quiet of the setting, the excellent room and its facilities, the kindness of the hostess who told us a lot about the history of the area and her family, the wonderful breakfast, and the walk to see the reservoir and the crags. Sorry to leave.
Rural farm setting
Shower drainage problem. Attention to cleaning would enhance ones stay
Fantastic location with stunning views. Very welcoming. Family room was very spacious. Really good quality breakfast items, locally sourced and cooked just how you like it.
Being out in the country on a farm. Friendly people. A nice family room and a lounge for guests with T.V and computer. Plenty of DVDs and games for the kids to watch and play. Always fruit etc left out in the dining room if wanted. A good choice at breakfast. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely views and walks.
A bit far out to reach places of interest. But fine if one doesn't mind driving.
Everything!! From brilliant views. Great breakfasts and a homely feel to the accommodation. Our host was most obliging helping us find good restaurants and places to go. The quietest nights sleep ever we came away really relaxed. The farm is quite close to several National Trust properties which was great for us as members. Highly recommended. Will visit again Thankyou
There was nothing we disliked
very friendly staff, homelike atmosphere
A lovely place with wonderful walking trails, stunning views over the spectacular landscape and fantastic home cooked breakfast. One of the best b&bs I've ever stayed at.
Feel welcomed since arrived with a freedom to explore and admire a view from the fields
To see someone's hair on the bathroom and lack of dimmer light.
Peaceful setting with incredible views and a great breakfast and host. Very quiet and they had sheep!
The facilities are of very high quality. We can feel that the owners have put their heart in when designing the B & B because everything is well taken care of.
CLEAN ,EFFICIENT,FRIENDLY,EXCELLENT BREAKFAST
Poor hygiene in the room and bathroom Uncomfortable beds and pillows Poor breakfast
Bedroom was fine. Nice lounge to sit in if you wanted. Wifi good particularly as we had no mobile signal at the farm. Good breakfast. Stunning views of the countryside.
No mobile signal. The photograph from the website implied the farm was by a lake. There is a reservoir near but only visible from one of the fields so the location was not quite what we had expected.
location old style buildings breakfast owner
Fantastic location and superb breakfast!
Nice view, everything is possible. Good countryside feeling.
No wifi in the room, only at the common space
Location perfect. Lovely breakfast and v. Friendly owners. Had a lovely stay and would definitely use again.
The area is beautiful. Lots of walks. Some nice local pubs and restaurants.
The attitude of the owner. I asked for a different kettle as the one provided was dirty inside and aged. It was replaced by a broken one and then one that had mould in it. Eventually after complaining we received the original kettle cleaned. The attitude of the owner was terrible. She made it clear that asking for a clean kettle was an inconvenience to her. Shame as the b&b has real potential.
Breakfast was fab. Location was peaceful but not too far away from a town.
Everything was just fantastic. There are houses and homes, The Common Barn Farm felt just like home,we were made to feel very welcome
There was nothing we didn't like
It certainly lived up to its 9.3 score. The view is outstanding, the breakfast excellent, and the welcome is extremely friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
