Friendly, helpful, comfortable.
Décor beginning to look tired.
The helpful owner, the lovely puppy, the unusual farm next door.
Warm, clean, quite and comfortable.
Only thing lacking I felt was that wifi was not available in our room, had to go outside by the car not ideal when it gets cold in the evening.
Cleanliness of kitchen facilities was poor. Wifi was almost non existant
they were very accommodating, and provide an excellent service to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable as possible.
Very friendly, caring people would not hesitate to book again when in the area.
The map printed from Booking.com. Not sure where you got it from but not accurate at all!!!
friendly hosts, very nice breakfast, parking in front (it is a motel), some rooms are small flats with kitchenette and sofa; shower with mix tap; good digital tv with sat channels; free wifi (by the window); accessible price for low budget travellers;
the farm and the motel need some tlc / upgrading (front doors/ certain windows) of certain items and there are practically no farm animals, only cows. no soap dispenser in shower, there are sealed little bags with gel for which scissors are required to open. to walk next to the road (towards canal e.g.) is v dangerous bcs overhanging hedges along busy road (50/h). previous guests left some sliced ham behind in cupboard :(
Clean bedding, room and bathrooms. Quiet site Helpful owners 35 mins drive from Alton Towers
A few cobwebs in both rooms, some with residents! Road noise reported by other reviewers but not bad enough to bother us. Carpet in twin room needed a good clean but I can understand that many feet walking over it means it will never be as clean as carpets at home.
Lovely staff, great sized room for 3 adults and a child. Didn't know what to expect as it wasn't expensive at all but overall we enjoyed our stay. Had everything we needed. Quiet area but only a short drive from the shops etc.
Can't complain of anything.
The whole room and bathroom needs updating, very tired. Cost too much for night stay.
Location was great for where I needed to be on a daily basis, with beautiful surroundings. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Bedding was not changed in 5 days, there was dust in the draws. The shower could do with being updated/modernised. The walls were really thin and I could hear everything the next door residents were doing and saying.
convenient and comfortable
The motel's location on the main road meant the accommodation was easy to find. The room was comfortable.
The peace and quiet of the countryside between passing traffic daytime
Noisy traffic on the adjoining main road during the day.
Helpful people and very friendly
Rooms equipped with microwave and crockery and cutlery very handy when staying away from home on a budget. Extremely clean, very friendly lady owner, continental breakfast choice incredible, worth the extra £4.
there were camels in the field next door, that dont happen every day. staff were great. a very nice stay.
Lovely helpful owners-lovely room. Easy journey for Alton Towers. Many thanks.
Owners very obliging and generous, especially when it came to taking a bag of snacks away with you after breakfast. There were four in our group and our room was plenty big enough with a small kitchen area with basic facilities and a small lounge area.
Good breakfast. Good value for money.
No negative comments
converted outbuildings of a working farm. Simple but properly equipped en suite rooms with reasonable storage, tea/coffee-making facilities, freeview tv. I did not use the continental breakfast facility but it looked a reasonable space for a simple breakfast at a supplementary charge of £4. Overall, a very useful value-for-money facility for an overnight stop
Shower difficult to manipulate, with limited water pressure, in a tight cabinet with ill-fitting door. Roadside signage not prominent, coming just before a sharp turn-in off a busy two-lane A road
Friendly knowledgable host, close to major tourist attractions. Very peaceful surroundings.
The breakfast and the look of the buildings from outside
The rooms were shabby and ours was very small. No hair dryer. No lining on the curtains so the light woke us up in the morning. Beds were rattly and creaky.
The flexibility, the breakfast, the site, facilities, ample tea/coffee making facilities, the friendliness of the owner. The home baked cakes were delicious.
The lighting was energy saving and was dull. There could gave been a desk light for working under , but this is a minor criticism.
