location and price is acceptable. Breakfast is free and very delicious.Slippers and shower kits are provided in the room.
Only one female/male toilet(including bath room) in each flour. Unfortunately, I am a female. My room is the most far from the female toilet.
The breakfast was very nice and staff was friendly.
good price, friendly reception
This is not a hotel, it's a student accommodation. Nice small rooms with a single bed, office, chair, wordrobe and a small sofa. Great Location (next to the underground). Good price. Free wired internet in the rooms and free wifi at the reception and library. Great breakfast. The shared toilets and bathrooms are quite clean.
The first two days my wired internet did not work. H owever, they fix it when I communicate with them.
the environment is quite nice, the staff, the food as well
the only thing is the cutlery that morning was not clean
Clean, good and varied breakfast, location was central, price was cheap all things considered.
Whole floor only had shower and toilet facilities for women.
I was a 62-year-old male travelling alone. I recently spent 6 weeks in Commonwealth Hall during July and August. Overall, it was a good value for the money. The rooms were comfortable with a window that opened, but no screen. Good closet space, desk, and shelves. The location was superb. Nice residential streets nearby with a lot of shops, cafes, and grocery stores to meet most needs. The Brunswick Centre (for shopping) was a few blocks down Marchmont Street. Public transportation was only a few blocks away in any direction. Nearby train stations included Euston, St. Pancras, Kings Cross, and Russell Square. Oyster cards are very convenient and cost effective. Security was very good at Commonwealth Hall, and breakfast was fairly good with generous portions.
The janitorial staff was usually visible in the mornings, but they struggled to keep the bathrooms clean. The laundry was good when the machines were working properly, which was about 2/3 of the time.
Breakfast was great
The daytime receptionist
friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet, great breakfast, nice location - just like my student days - i loved it
bit of a trek to find a male toilet on my floor - there were 3 'female only' close by - until i was told by one of the female students that everyone uses them all as unisex and she was right so problem solved
I stayed for four nights and the room was not cleaned during my stay, bed never made and no fresh towel. During the night I turned on the light and seen silver fish on the floor, I do not know the correct name for these insects.
Very good location, 10 min on foot from the tube station. The room was clean and the welcome pack even provided slippers. Nice view from the 7th floor.
The bathroom was a bit far on the corridor, but decently clean though.
Super location. Clean, quiet, very cheap with friendly staff. Great breakfast.
No wifi in the room but available in the library
decent university accomodation well located - great brekfast.
free internet access, good price, good location, nice breakfast
Very good location, great breakfast, clean bathrooms. Free wi-fi (only in the hall)
Nothing. If you have correctly understood the kind of accomodation you are going in, it is a great and cheap opportunity of staying in an expensive city. It is not a hotel, so they won't change your bedding or won't clean up the room (except for the waste basket); but it is more than a hostel, because you have your own private room. And it was pretty much cleaner than the last Hotel (not hostel) I stayed in 2 years ago in London.
Location, secure and safe. Value for money
Noise at night
Cheap, good location
rude staff, no breakfast after 9, no wifi
great location, great breakfast, friendly staff, small but clean room
cannot use free wifi on 7th, must go to lobby to use it
I loved the price of my room and the English breakfast. The location was nearly perfect but it worked because it got quiet in the evenings except for the occasional siren. Additionally, I really enjoyed the room. It was spacious, airy, had closet space, and a desk to write some letters at.
I did not like the early morning staff. They were not helpful in directing me to things in the area such as a grocery store. They also rolled their eyes when I asked for a map. I understand that people are tired in the morning but when the reception desk is there for info and assistance, one should honor that.
Staff Cleanliness Location
All in general and particularly the breakfast.
Lack of male toilets on our floor
1. The great ambiance, 2. Good behaviour of the staff, 3. Good food, 4. Accessible location by walking from Euston, Russell Sq and King's Cross Tube rail stations
I wished a wash basin could have been in the room. The room temperature control or fan was also felt necessary
Location, room with free wi-fi - everything!!
There was no european adopter on the reception
Excellent location - close to King's Cross and in a pleasant, safe area. Cheap, and desk staff friendly.
Reminded me of when I was a student - in the 1970s - when university accommodation was VERY basic. Room was clean, but shared bathrooms/toilet didn't work well at all. I could only find 1 male facility in the whole (seven floor) building. This was two floors down from my room. Showers were temperamental, dirty and unkempt. Some units didn't work, others ran too hot. At this price (£40 a night) I didn't expect luxury of course, but functioning facilities - maybe even on the same floor? - must surely be expected. Sadly, it all reminded me of a particular budget airline (you know which one); cheap, but afterwards you realise how unpleasant it all was. I can't recommend this place, unless you're on a very tight budget and happy to slum it for a few days. FYI - male bathrooms are on 3rd floor, so if you're a guy and DO decide to stay here, get a room on that floor ;)
