Well presented very friendly & welcoming owner & staff comfortable beds and spot on breakfast
Great staff, great location, great view from room, 10 minute walk from beach.
When I complained about the room being dirty it was sorted straight away.
Our room hadn't been cleaned when I arrived. Weren't greeted when we arrived the young boy on the reception desk was miserable and we weren't shown to our room. Weren't sure of the options for breakfast no menu or waitress didn't inform us. Bedrooms were very hot and beds were too soft. No choice on different duvet and pillows I don't like hollowfibre duvets. The garden had beer cans all over it the pool was not available as due to an upgrade, it definately wasn't being upgraded. There was no access to the bar. I hope these are new owners and they are doing up the hotel as it could be a really nice hotel just needs a lot of work.
Breakfast poor Carpet old No pool
Friendly staff and great value for money
Manager, Mr. Mathew is a very welcoming and charming person.
Only one glitch, couldnt access the internet in our room, but no biggie
Easy to find with sat navigation. Comfy beds
We had awful sleep. We had room 1 which located next to reception. Initially I thought it was great as I wouldn't need to go up and down stairs to unpack. However, I was woken up at 2am by a guest banging on the door. She was awfully drunk and she was screaming that she had forgotten the keys. Doors are locked after a certain time, which is not as bad as long as you remember to take your key. Luckily one of her friends open the door. My 20month old also awoken and stayed awake till 3am. Breakfast was from 8.30 am (Saturday). It was only one lady taking orders and serving. Simply it was not enough as there were about 14 guests. English breakfast was poor. The lady though she was pleasant and welcoming. The atmosphere was also poor as there were two parties that clearly have been drinking the night before. Hotel would definitely need to short out the door situation. Also check in via telephone booth type thing I am not sure is working. I only tried once, then a member of staff came by. Avoid room downstairs especially if you need a good night sleep.
Would recommend for families if looking for basic hotel in good location. We had a large family room with three double beds.
Good location, excellent efficient friendly staff - delivering fantastic service at every opportunity. Good value for money
Mattress was uncomfortable and needs replacing.
Not much! O yes, the Wifi was excellent!
Self automated check in didn't work, had to make 2 phone calls to staff to check in. The hotel says it has 22 bedrooms and parking but, there is only room for about 6 cars. Our room was not serviced at all during our 3 night stay despite alerting the owner to this. A bottle of wine was offered by way of compensation. The owner then said he had sacked 2 people because of this, very unprofessional. It seemed to us that they are just playing at Hotel management. The place is shabby and in need of care, the photos on the web site in no way reflect accurately what the place looks like now. The continental breakfast consisted of 2 very limp and uncut toasted cheese sandwiches!! You have to laugh! The owners live in the semi-detached other part of the hotel which is covered in scaffolding, the garden was ok but is not extensive and the little fish pond looked uncared for. As you look at the photo of the exterior attached to this website, only the left hand side is used by guests. We could only account for 15 rooms so don't know where they've hidden the others! The swimming pool was unusable as it was closed for re-furbishment but, in any case the surrounding area is scruffy. Best advice we can give is book into the Travelodge next door unless, of course, you're happy with the 'Basil Fawlty' or Mark of The Grosvenor fame!
Spacious rooms, very clean and very welcoming staff also very homely
Its a bit of a walking distance from the beach
good location, helpful staff
Needs new toilet seat, light doesn`t work over mirror, dark room, holes in curtains, no biccies with tea making facilities and not much milk. breakfast tasty but fried egg nuked to death
Very nice people and the hotel was clean.
This hotel is a fair price for what you get. It is no frills accommodation but with everything you need. It is clean and comfortable and quiet at night. I have stayed a couple of times now on business and have had no problems.
Swimming pool has been out of action every time I have been so far.
Owner very friendly, clean, nice views from room, central location once we found the correct road
Unfortunately parts of motel were under renovation and the pool was not available
Convient location, friendly staff very helpful.
Shower was awful and one of the beds the mattress was really old and very uncomfortable!
Food good. Helpful people. Vary clean inside.
Scaffold. Building work going on not told when booking. Garden closed and needed cleaning. Pool closed. Lights hanging off wall. Floor boards creaking. beds creaked every time you move.
A* Staff Cleanliness Breakfast
Hot hot hot noisy room Noisy squeaky bed Road traffic No pool ...yet...
Friendly staff, off road parking, great breakfast, clean
The pool was out off order, the decor was dated
Easy walk to the center
Two double beds, should be one double two singles for 12 year old children. No where in the bathroom to put anything, no shelf or hooks. Only one mirror in room which, when using hairdryer, could not see into very well. TV place over a bed, hanging slightly, so not all occupants could see it.
Location was good, just a short walk from the sea front!
Comfiest bed we've had in a hotel. All the children commented on how they all had a good night's sleep. It was extremely warm in the room -which was readily remedied by opening the window
Good 20 min walk to harbour
