Score from 273 reviews Good
All good, was quite and no noise, wedding was on but not a problem, would come back and the breakfast was very tasty too, better than some top hotels I have been.
No TV in the room so was abit boring. That's the only thing that let my stay down.but TV for one night isn't that bad.Internet was ok.
Set in lovely grounds Quiet Good breakfast
Poor wifi connection Shower not very powerful Uncomfortable bed
I like the comfort
locating the room
Great location; quiet, leafy setting with some nice walks nearby; helpful staff; reasonably spacious room with more than adequate storage, shelves and desk space; comfortable bed; handy en-suite bathroom and reasonable price.
University campuses are often hard to find your way around. This is no exception! I got lost a few times. There need to be more finger-posts to the various accommodation centres. Apart from that, no problems.
Attractive environment on the edge of the city. Very high quality student accommodation with possibility of use of kitchen..Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
Rather further from the city centre than convenient. A good regular bus service - but this should be indicated for non-motorised guests.
Bathrooms are incredibly small, cleanliness of the room was a to a poor standard as there was dust on the surfaces, the soaps had been previously opened, there were toothpaste stains in the sink and urine on the underside of the toilet seat
It was perfect for what I needed, stopover for one night. Clean en-suite room with linen towels and tea/coffee facilities provided. Breakfast provided was good quality too. Full english/cereal/pastries etc
Considering this is Uni accommodation the standard of the room beats some 3 & 4* hotels that I have stayed at. The Restaurant staff at breakfast couldn't have been more helpful. Always a smile and a willingness to go the extra mile. Kitchen was a bonus with fridge/freezers, cooker, microwave and kettle. You just have to remember to bring some kitchen utensils.
The mattress was showing its age a bit and not that comfortable
cost has increased now more akin to hotel
Really friendly and helpful staff. Good clean room.great breakfast.
Space and environment
Clean basic accommodation.
Too basic for me and bed uncomfortable.
Very nice young man at desk, peaceful accommodation, comfortable bed, tea and coffee good. Towels and toiletries good. Lovely and keen and all in working order.
Very disoriented on arrival, no way one reception person is enough - you need to walk people to accommodation the first time - it is such a big campus and difficult to orient by map. Also - no TV.
Breakfast great Village felt comfortable Happy staff Surroundings pleasant
Mattress hard and not very comfortable
Location Price Free parking
Dark room No access to tv/radio
Nice surroundings, ease of use, ample parking places for free all in all a nice place.
Unfortunately it is just a little bit out of the way for city center and local amenity,s. Although there are buses close by. It did not affect me as I had transport.
location very clean toliet and shower room, very clean and modern room basic facilities, no tv but wasnt a drawback as was good value for money and clean very quiet good breakfast
could hear the footsteps outside and above. it is not clearly signposted and had to work out the exact building the map wasnt helpful
As indicated above
Lack of a room TV
The shower flooded and drained slowly which left the floor wet
Conveniently located for the conference I was attending. Good value for money. It had all the basics (bed, shower, free WiFi, desk to work at).
The staff were not very thorough in their cleaning of the room (e.g bins not emptied, milk supplies not replaced). I had two bookings - one with the conference, one in my private capacity after the conference - which the staff initially acknowledged, and then 'forgot' leading to being 'named and shamed' at the conference for not checking out, when it was the admin staff that were at fault. There was no TV in the room (although, given that this is university residence during term time is not unexpected).
