Very friendly and helpful owners. We were given a choice of rooms and we chose a lovely large room with sofa for relaxing. Good breakfast. The Conigre had a nice relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Shower was difficult to use, but this is being replaced anyway, so won't be a problem when done. Room had a nice bath anyway. Good location for an easy drive to Bath and it's own car park.

The welcome we received at the hotel was excellent and Sam gave us directions to various places during our stay. Thre staff were all very friendly. We had no trouble parking our van. The hotel was very close to the venue we where were exhibiting. I found the room very cold and quite small for two people, we were in the stable block. Thr bathroom was quite large and very nicely laid out with a nice big shower.

The owners were very welcoming. Sam phoned to ask if we would like to book dinner before we left home. I had some questions about the menu and time of dinner which were fully answered so I booked dinner. I was delighted that I had. The food was superb, especially the potatoes and vegetables. The beds were comfortable and there was a very friendly cat (could be a problem if any cat allergies in the group, but not one for us). The only issue was that there was not enough hot water for both a bath and a shower in the morning. I didn't make a complaint because a lukewarm shower was only a minor inconvenience and I didn't have time to take another one.

Country cottage look and feeling, snug but comfortable room. Relaxed atmosphere, well presented restaurant, food was excellent, freshly made, good quality food. Would need to ring hotel though ahead as it runs on pre-bookings for an evening meal. Family run, friendly. Only one issue - room pricing found it expensive for one person at £72 for one night however price did include breakfast. If budget allows I would stay again. (if using sat nav to find it don't turn left at the pub keep going on the main road for 100yrds it is facing onto the main road). Also I booked a single room as cheaper price at £60 with breakfast, but on arrival found they were adjacent to the hotel in converted stables - I'm sure they would have been fine, going on the room I did stay in, however I was on my own and felt uncomfortable going across the yard, so upgraded to a double to stay on the premises.

The hostess was incredibly friendly and such a lovely lady. The breakfast was lovely and it has a real home from home feel. The rooms were really clean and cosy and very inviting. Lovely old property, very well kept. On our departure the male host was not so friendly.

The food was marvellous Not a complaint but hopefully constructive comments. We booked a table for 7.00 to eat at 7.30. There was no dedicated bar staff to explain the procedure. When we did get a drink and asked for the menu it was still being prepared & printed. We did not get our main meal until 8.50! It was absolutely fabulous. They just need to tighten up their speed of getting food to the table. It would not deter me from going again.

The restaurant food was particularly enjoyable. We had breakfast and evening meals at the Conigre and found the cuisine to be expertly prepared and reasonably priced. The proprietor and staff were accessible, courteous and helpful at all times. Our room was comfortable and clean.

The personal touch from a family run hotel is wonderful, food is cooked as ordered and individual requirements dealt with, with ease. Owners & staff are all sincerely eager to help with anything asked of them. The public rooms in the main house ideal for relaxing with a book and a drink or coffee after a long day driving or sightseeing, without the need to be formal as in some establishments. Food great, freshly cooked by a lady who loves her work! A home from home - with staff!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the moment we walked in to the beautiful double room with a clean, fresh and stylish ensuite. The husband and wife owned, 500 year old grade 2 listed building offered a romantic and characterful base, convenient for Bath and the Cotswolds. The restaurant is tastefull and spacious and the food was to die for. This is a must for any visitor, whether they are staying at the hotel or not. All the staff were friendly and made us feel almost pert of the family. We would recommend every one to visit. For me this place was Five Star all the way

The staff (owners) made us very welcome when we arrived, this is very much a family run hotel, which includes the family cat, very friendly! The food was excellant with a good choice, although we did find the service rather slow, especially on Sunday morning as we were in rather a hurry to check out! Would certainly stay there again and recommend it to friends and family.

Tipica abitazione della campagna inglese situata in una tranquilla cittadina ed in buona posizione per visitare Bath, Bratford on Avon,Castle Combe, Lacock, Bristol ed altro. Ottimo staff femminile in particolare Rachel. Ok bagno, ok breakfast,ok pulizia. Consiglio di cenare al ristorante di buona qualità. Rapporto qualità prezzo più che buono.

“Gorgeous quiet location surrounded by lovely gardens. We didn't have time to make use of tennis courts etc but again, lovely setting for a tennis match.
