Friendly welcome Totally overpriced, dirty rooms, old furniture, windows don't open, no Wifi in rooms, the old house has not seen investments for the last 30 years, badly managed B&B joint. We partly booked because of the highly praised restaurant. On our arrival we learned that it was closed due to wedding anniversary of the owners. But we couldn't have used it without prior reservation anyhow. They said you have to reserve dinner at the latest during breakfast! The house cat was strolling over the breakfast table, the tables of the dirty room next door which may serve as a "restaurant" were laid out with the ironing linens. I have never before given a negative feedback here in booking.com although I am travelling quite a lot on business and use this great tool quite a lot. But in this case I cannot resist to express my anger about the poor management and bad condition of this place.

Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Very comfortable bed and large bathroom in a converted stable. Very friendly staff who give good advice about the local area. Good plumbing. Very handy for Lacock, Corsham Court etc. Nothing.

Historic listed building with lots of features in the room. Super comfy bed with crisp white linen. Delicious breakfast with high quality ingredients used. Wi-fi was rather intermittent!

I love the old dairy buildings which have been well converted to make great en-suite rooms. The hosts are a very warm and friendly couple. The food is freshly prepared and cooked to order and as a celiac with lactose intolerance I would recommend the restaurant to anyone with specific dietary requirements as Sam is completely understanding and accommodating with the menu!

Very good atmosphere in a friendly hotel/BB. Nice room, easy parking, easy walk into town for shops/buses. Excellent restaurant but - only reservation - service at dinner can be slow. Service at dinner can be slow.

We chose this hotel for two reasons- parking facilities and a restaurant. However, there was a function at the hotel on the Saturday and we were asked to go elsewhere for a meal and when we got back we could not find any room to park our car as the function guests had taken all of the spaces. If we had been told about the function when we booked the room, we would not have stayed there. I was also surprised that there was no fish main course available for dinner on the Friday as the notice at the front of the hotel was offering a fish choice so felt this was misleading.

I loved this place. It had a sort of Fawlty Towers feel to it but in reality everything went perfect. Very warm & friendly. Our room was lovely. We needed bottles sterolloused & cooled and they couldn't have been nicer. I would love to stay there again. Our room didn't have a shower. A nice bath but not a shower. That's it. Everything else was a1.

Good, staff nice and frendly. Breakfast V.good. Rooms quite and all I needed was there. Bed a little soft and headboard kept banging against the wall. Bathroom needs a good cleanup. Breakfast, tables need to be laid out with sugar, condiments etc.before guests arrive.

I chose the Conigre rooms as a late decision to stay the night before a triathlon being held in Bradford on Avon. They were really friendly and were happy to prepare me a meal not on the menu as id said id like Pasta. In the end i chose from the menu which was a good decision as it was excellent and id go there again for the meal on its own. I had a single room that was good size with ensuite shower Wc. Room was in separate building, 20 meters from main building, which i prefered. They put together a cold breakfast for me to take to my room as I was leaving early. I'm sure the breakfast would have been great and was a shame I didn't get to try it. I also like that they didn't insist in booking 2 nights as I've had to do at other places

Very friendly and helpful owners. We were given a choice of rooms and we chose a lovely large room with sofa for relaxing. Good breakfast. The Conigre had a nice relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Shower was difficult to use, but this is being replaced anyway, so won't be a problem when done. Room had a nice bath anyway. Good location for an easy drive to Bath and it's own car park.

The welcome we received at the hotel was excellent and Sam gave us directions to various places during our stay. Thre staff were all very friendly. We had no trouble parking our van. The hotel was very close to the venue we where were exhibiting. I found the room very cold and quite small for two people, we were in the stable block. Thr bathroom was quite large and very nicely laid out with a nice big shower.
