Welcoming. Warm staff, beautiful original features stunning stained glass, fully stocked welcome tray in room with homemade biscuits. Great view from our room. Staff attentive and helpful. Downstairs rooms elegant and very stylish, with a lovely warm inviting atmosphere. Great food chef to be commended with the Welsh Lamb some of the best i've tasted. Hotel undergoing refurbishment and our room was in need of a lick of paint, over head lighting poor , bathroom window stained glass stunning but dirty in need of some attention as paint peeling and cobwebs on the sash, soap container beside bath cracked and stained, condensation a problem as bathroom as no extractor fan. Small two seater settee very small for two adults. No valence covers on bed bases. All very minor problems.

The reception staff knew exactly what my requirements were. The quiet location made this a perfect choice to stay for my business trip. Rooms are large comfortable and well furnished. There was nothing bad about the hotel but travellers beware. The raod to Aberystwyth in the morning gets very congested and it can take around 20 - 30 minutes to get into town if you trave at peak time.

The staff were very helpful and the location beautiful. Unfortunately a a single traveller I felt my room was very poor compared with the main building double rooms - it was in an outside block and was quite basic despite being expensive. There were also cobwebs on the wall.Friends in main house had luxurious room by contrast.

Female, away on business staying alone, I was made to feel very welcome, the service and helpfulness of the staff was impecable. The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The food could be improved for the prices charged but was acceptable. I would reccommend and stay again.

The hotel is spacious, extremely clean and for a country house is exceptional. The breakfast selection and quality of food was superb. The staff are friendly and very helpful. When i first checked in i was allocated a room in an out building from the main house. Whilst the room was very clean and nice the noise from the heating was absoloutely shocking! even with the tv on it didnt drown the noise out. imagine someone banging furiously on your front dooe constantly and you`d be somewhere close!! I immediately mentioned this to the staff and was moved room without question to the main house, where in all fairness the stay was famtastic. I would definately stay at this hotel again but would ensure i was in the main house.

Lovely location and nice friendly staff. The room was lovely and big with a beautiful view but the mattress was really hard and uncomfortable. The restaurant was lovely but the food didn't live up to my expectations. Burnt chicken goujon starter which I returned but the second one wasn't much better and the chips with the steak tasted like they had been fried twice. The breakfast was very good

Friendly staff welcome and care.Very comfortable and relaxed ambience in the country. The newish owners are clearly committed to their activities Believe it has only been opened a year or so ago and is in the process of refurbishment. We wish them well. Their efforts so far show evidence of fruition. The lift needs to be included in the refurbishment when finance allows

I liked the setting, the views and the oldy worldy feel of the house. The staff were polite. The food and presentation excellent. A lovely retreat for anyone wanting to chill. The menue could do with being changed daily especially if staying more than one night. I did'nt like the idea of having to put my coat on and use an umbrella to get to the dining room.

The Conrah is in a beautiful location, and easy to find, with easy parking. Very convenient for visiting Aberystwyth, but a car is essential. The breakfast was good, but not outstanding. We did not eat an evening meal as we arrived too late due to unavoidable delays. The reason for our stay was primarily to take our daughter back to Aber where she lives and works. We were hoping to make more of a leisure break out of the evening, but a delay maent that our stay was quite short. We would definitely stay again or recommend it to others.

Room allocated was situated in the courtyard and had recently been refurbisheh to an excellent standard.meals taken at the hotel were of a good standard, whilst staff were friendly. On going works will eventually improve even further the potential this country house hotel has.
