Loved the amazing building and general mood, ambience, decor and the feature room was an excellent size Restaurant had really nice, helpful waiters and lovely food but soup and vegetable side portions very small and took the edge of what otherwise was an excellent meal in lovely surroundings |

The hotel is very charming, the rooms are of a good standard , and the layout very appealing The hotel was very hot , there was no real control of the system , as said by the staff , also very little storage in rooms for long term visits , i understand the theme of the hotel but some areas very dark even in the rooms |

Magnificent room, supported by staf who were alert and helpful. The setting, in acerage around the hotel, added to the experience. Internet connection was poor with the excuse that it had been looked at the day before. No access in room or in foyer/lobby. |

It is a stunningly beautiful building in an area where you would least expect one, with polite helpful staff It is somewhat dark inside, but that is the nature of a castle type building |

The hotel was well served by a bus route 585 that went directly from the railway station to Coombe Abbey main gates. It also passes by the bus station. I had expected public access to be difficult and on the contrary it was extremely convenient. There is also a pavilion run by the council nearby, very neat and well-organised where one can get snacks and lunches of around £5 until 3 pm., but the facility operates until 5pm. |

All staff were incredibly attentive. The whole hotel was clean. Absolutely everything was perfect for a romantic night away for birthday/anniversary. A very minor and picky point but the hotel advertises free wi-fi and, in our room anyway, the only signal was outside the bathroom. However this is just a niggle in the overall extremely positive experience. |

The hotel is very romantic. It is quite dark but i think that the lighting and candles add to the romance. The rooms are lovely and spacious. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb, however the staff were not as accomodating as they should have been for a 5 star hotel. Nothing really apart from the restaurant staff were not as expected from a 5 star hote. |

Restaurant very good, spacious well furnished room, lovely grounds. Hotel has character. A little overstreched for pre dinner drinks, had to wait 20 mins for bottle of bubbly. Service fine once seated |

the staff were extremely accomodating - for example setting up a table outside with candles after an enquiry if coffee could be taken on the terrace after dinner |
