The room was £35 for a Friday night, so I expected it to be basic. The Hotel itself was extremely shabby but the room and bathroom facilities were clean enough. The water was hot, the shower had pressure and the heating worked. The location was a very comfortable walk to all the major shopping destinations even though it was snowing! Staff were friendly and helpful and supplied a map. Could do with a coat of paint, a re-grout in the bathroom and generally a really, really good scrub. It could have been cleaner. Its a shame it was so shabby as the location was great. |

Incredible value. No problems with the room or the staff. Breakfast the next day was very satisfying (simple toast, cereal, cold ham, cheese, orange juice, tea and coffee in help your self style service). Hotel appeared to be undergoing some refurbishment yet this did not hinder our visit. Room was very warm in the evening after we turned the heating on. At worst I would say the floor boards in the room above us were quite creaky which woke my partner up early and the shower was not quite as hot as we would have liked. Soap for the bathroom was not provided, this did not affect our visit but it may be worth noting for future guests. |

Good location to City Centre 10 mintues walk from MEN. Reasonable priced parking. Value for money. Good breakfast, help yourself to toast, cereal and drinks. Could do with a freshen up. Looks like they are currently renovating so hopefully the process will continue through the hotel. |

The location of the hotel is excellent (close to the city center and just a few meters away from the train station). The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially John. |

The man on reception was quite friendly. The shower was surprisingly good! The room was very shabby and in need of some tlc! There was even a hole straight through the middle of the bedside table. But we only stayed one night so it was fine for that amount of time. |

We were greeted by a very polite and friendly and helpful american. The hotel is desperate for refurbishment. The carpets were ingrained with years of wear. Bathroom and bed were new and clean but done on the cheap. |

Most convenient for the shops and Manchester Center HALL The only drawback was the floor covering, it really should be replaced. |

Unprofessional. Problems with TV, Shower, Iron, Staff and it's bad location. In hind sight would have sooner paid more for somewhere central and more professional or at least gone to a hostel as this was worse than most I've been to. |

Unfortunately the hotel was very dirty, there was only one wheel on the bed, stains on carpet, smell not too nice.Such a shame this hotel needs a real good clean and some money spending on it. |

Most of all we liked the staff! Rashid and Kevin are very friendly and polite! It was so pleasant to talk to them and ask questions. They are ready to help any time you need. They gave us the map of Manchester City and explained how to use its transport. And Rashid knows Russian (или говоря по-русски, в отеле есть русскоговорящий, который очень рад пообщаться и помочь). Manchester is the best city for me! Maybe only the heating that you can switch on at your own room. The room heating that doesnt depend on the central heating. |

The hotel is cheap and you get what you pay for. If you expect luxury then this hotel isn't for you. If you want just somewhere to sleep that's cheap then this is the hotel for you. I felt I was back in the 1970's |
