I stayed one night on my way to a family Christmas lunch near Oxford - the staff were very informative - and told me about the Keller bar and Apres night club which I went to later and was great fun - in particular the Apres which is over 25s only was a cool place with lots of hot girls - had food in the lounge bar which was good.- breakfast recommended
TVs in the room did not work - no signal.
Good location to stay when meeting up with friends. Staff polite but not happy to put themselves out much.
Not pet friendly so our dog slept in the car. Staff are not happy to put themselves out for clients. They do it but they give you the impression. Your being a pest...
- food in the restaurant was awful & expensive - hotel did not have any personality - room was cold
The club was happening, there was a free gym with pool, sauna and steam room. There was 24 hour access to food/ drink
Bit dusty, rooms were cleaned often and to a high standard but needs a deep clean into the corners of the room more often. Wasn't told breakfast times shifted for weekdays so missed it by 20 mins and was told I could get some but had to eat it in the lounge- felt staff were annoyed with me. Bfast for 2 is £20 - so not particularly cheap for that experience.
Hotel is not bad, needs an update. we were here for a Christmas party and we asked for a quiet room. we were told that we were not above the nightclub - we thought OMG there is a nightclub? but when it came to it and the lights were out we didn't hear a single thing... wo well done Coppid Beech - they certainly cater for all
bacon was a bit ropey - but that's just a matter of personal opinion
Lovely hotel, really enjoy staying there
Helpful staff, room was very good and the breakfast was fine except surprised some items were extra on the menu, e.g. Kippers.
We booked in early ( and paid for the privilege which was fine) and we used the coffee early in the first morning, so there was none left for the following morning. I suggest you do refill the coffee tray for those early guests
Location and quadrauple room was fantastic
Breakfast- should have had more choice of eggs instead of just scrambled egg
Tired hotel - needs refurbishing
Location, free WiFi, spacious rooms and public areas, good parking
Failing heating system - highlighted by the fact there was a standalone oil radiator in the room that barely made it warm enough to be comfortable. The bathrooms look much repaired, almost like a diy enthusiast was let loose.
Room was nice, good location, beautiful Christmas tree. We also liked Spa and pool.
We had boiled hot water in the bathroom and was no cold water.
The staff was extremely helpful, notably Joanna and Roberto. It makes a very good hotel Great...
What was there to dislike ?
Food was excellent Amenities good Ideal position for leisure/tourist trips Good value for money compared to others in the area
Décor starting to look a bit jaded in places. I really don't expect to pay extra to get a good performance Wi-Fi (the free version was barely above dial-up speed).
Friday and Saturday nights are noisy during the night due to the various party promotions that are on. The drunkards can be fairly noisy and room insulation, like the rest of Coppid Beech is 20 years out of date.
Value for money room size Bed
Excellent and quirky hotel. We paid £63 for the classic double room and it was good value for money. Only small gripe was that the TV and fridge did not work, and the air conditioning would not go above 23c. Buy bearing in mind the price of the room.. You can't really complain.
Tv, fridge and aircon were faulty.
Location, style, gym, pool
Disinterested wait staff, poor mannered wait staff, shower
kids were fascinated with the fish tanks through all floors, large family room, liked the idea of separate sleeping areas but not the layout. would stay again.
childrens part of room near entrance/exit door, bathroom in adult part of room was ok with older children but would be nervous if had younger children with curtain drawn for separation.
Gym, pool, room & parking.
Overpriced meals. Can take an age to get coffee in the morning. Lifts take too long.
The decor in the rooms were very outdated and the hotel was very noisy with lots of hen parties and groups of noisy party goers...
Après bar, leisure facilities.
Waiting for reception staff to finish an obviously personal phone call ignoring the fact I stood there waiting. Took unhelpfulness to a whole new level.
Pool and leisure facilities.
Being charged twice for tv that was not watched, having to pay to enter night club when you pay £130 for a room. Rooms are dated was probably a really nice place 25 years ago.
Comfortable bed (but cold) Free wifi Good shower
Top floor room was cold throughout. Thermostat ineffectual.. No heated towel rail. No extra bedding (put coat on bed). No reception staff evident on check-out Plastic kettle smelt of plastic when heated.
Location Facilites Services
Drive up and you will think your in the alps . Reception spot on promp and informative . Rooms good with everything you expect deliverd . Air conditioning controls baffling . Was not impressed with morning 0700 call to ask if I was happy with my stay as wanted to lie in !! Perhaps they need early breakfast service ? Breakfast was great and was not chased for early book out . In all a good / great stay , watch out for bill add ons though. Rating 9 outt of 10 ! Ps morning swim was nice and so was the offer to join the local club exercises at no cost a lovely touch .
Bill add ins , my fault in this case . Should have been smarter as to booking terms .
