Nothing. It was pretty awful. Ther girl at the front desk, Laura, was fairly helpful. It was outdated, scruffy, dirty, unpreposessing and generally not very welcoming. The rooms are slightly grubby and very outdated. There was a lot of noise from the rooms next door and the corridors all night because the walls are obviously very thin. It was a most unpleasant stay.

Very old and tired hotel. Stained walls and carpets and in a poor state of repair. Car park inadequate and ncp car park costs up to £14 per night which you can't claim back. Avoid at all costs

It is a good hotel, and the staff were lovely, however rowdy attendees of a function caused significant disruption until nearly 5am. Comfortable room and friendly staff

Quality hotel with comfortable bar, lounge and dining area. Rooms are smart, clean, modern and provide ample space and storage. Well positioned for Union Street Car Park is very tight and you are as well to use the multi story across the road but at a rate of £1 per hour but chargeable up until 22:00 can be expensive. The hotel lift makes an annoying double ding that can be really annoying if your bedroom is near the lift.

Breakfast and Dinner excellent , staff really efficient and welcoming. Could sleep well because no noise coming from elsewhere and bed was really comfortable. ! Not a dislike but room could do with updating, carpets and furniture. Bar staff were not very well organized, it seemed to be a lottery when you would get served!!

Location is good for visiting city centre. I was most disappointed in the dish at a breakfast, I made no complaint as not the fault of the waitress but at nearly £ 14 for a breakfast its not what you would like your guests to remember of your hotel, a lousy piece of smaoked haddock. This was a disgrace for your chef to present to anyone, he or she should have known better. Not a nice reminder of my visit to the Copthorne Aberdeen. John Carrol

Its location Internal noises which woke us up several times. We arrived late and just felt the staff would see we were tired and give us a quiet room. But opposite a lift we had little peace all night. The morning staff did not our complaint but no discount or offered. On the whole a disappointing experience.

It was well located, staff were helpful, food was good Never changed linen during whole stay Refused to take Visa for payment Insisted on pre payment in cash, changed usd at poor rate Instead of paying balance credit in cash, (suddenly visa was working) and sent credit balance to my visa acc Note I used the visa everywhere else with no problems at all, even for larger amounts

I only liked the location Reception was poor, the girl was very distracted by the phone and ignored me while I was checking in to answer a phone call. The room was dirty with many cobwebs and the carpet in the room was thread bare. We were woken by a fire alarm at 0445 in the morning and are still waiting for staff to direct us out of the hotel. No one knew what was going on or where to go and we were left standing outside for nearly an hour in December!

Staff on desk were very helpful and friendly We had a meal on the fitst night - poorly cooked, did not have all the elements promised on the menu and generally a poor standard especially for the price. Room was dated with cracked tiles in the bathroom. we had "upgraded room" which promised better toiletries and bathrobes etc. Not that impressed with toiletries and we only got one robe.

We wanted to be centrally located and Copthorne Hotel is ideally placed No parking. Room in need of updating - particularly the bathroom. Tiles cracked and wc so old that it would be hard to appear clean even if it had been. Cleaning under seat and around hinges sadly lacking. Decor of room a bit tired. Also we had little sleep due to large party of drunks making a lot of noise/using bad language in the early hours. This must have been evident to hotel when they returned late at night and would have been helpful if someone could have sorted this problem. However walls and floors so thin that I could hear person above place teaspoon in cup and stir their beverage and actually my hearing is not brilliant. Quality of stay did not compare to previous night in Macdonald hotel which was cheaper.

“Lovely room . We stayed in the Passionata Suite and had view of the harbour. Reason for our trip was our Ruby wedding and convenience as we were booked on Orient Express trip from aberdeen station which was just accross the road. We ate in the hotel and food was exceptional and staff very attentive and friendly.” Dorothy, Inverness |
