The Sussex market town of Crawley is just south of Gatwick Airport, London’s 2nd busiest passenger terminal after Heathrow.
Its train station has direct connections to Gatwick, as well as to Victoria Station in London to the north, and Brighton to the south. Set roughly midway between the 2 cities, the town has long been an important stopping place. One of its 17th-century coaching inns, the George Hotel, still exists under the name of the Ramada Crawley Gatwick and is available on Booking.com.
However, the town’s history dates back much further than that. Records show it as being a market town as early as the 13th century, and its central Goffs Park has a museum containing some Stone Age remains found here.
Tilgate Park to the south has a lake, nature reserve and one of Crawley’s 3 golf courses. The town’s other leisure activities include bowling, a movie theater and a collection of restaurants and pubs. The shopping street is a mix of historic buildings and modern shops, and more stores are found at Crawley County Mall.
Practically all of the Crawley hotels, guesthouses and country houses provide parking and a few also have features such as swimming pools and gyms.

Historic town with character, real ale houses and many local shops, good rail and bus transport links and detailed town maps, great little daily market next to large shopping centre at train and bus stations recommend Dixies chicken it was delish and a rival for KFC. The snooty Fox at three bridges station has great ales and friendly bar staff.

Everything was just perfect a classic authentic looking pub style hotel with very cozy fire place in the dining room and very comfy and cozy rooms. A pity there is no meal service as this place screams for a Sunday roast and the classics on a menu as a steak with 3 choice sauces, a pizza, a burger, a crab cake with greens, a classic fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar and two salads.
That would make it the place to be with everything it needs (this is my personal opinion also taking in mind I am a private chef)

The rooms were clean as were the public areas. Staff were friendly and polite. However, whilst the food was good it was of a low standard and offered at an outrageous cost....b/fast was a plentiful buffet but £16 was steep.

Trivelles Gatwick Hotel was disgusting The 200 meter driveway was flooded which disguised the massive pot holes all the way down the drive the underside of my car scraped at least twice. The pictures of the palce must have been taken when first renovated which must have been somme time ago as it is very tired now. the bed linen was stained, it looked like someone has blown their nose on it, and I saw at least 3 cockroaches on the desk.

Excellent hotel with friendly staff, easy check in, very clean rooms and super comfortable beds. The only issue was this hotel is not super close to the airport and there are no shuttles or buses that go to the hotel from the airport. The only option is to book a taxi, which you should definitely arrange with the hotel before your stay, as it is very expensive from Gatwick (17.50 pounds as opposed to 30 pounds).
Stayed here overnight following return from holiday in small hours, needed somewhere to sleep before a long drive home. Hotel needs some investment that’s for sure, just small things like seal around shower, sink taps that wobble, but nothing that affects use of facilities. Biggest issue was the noise of the loo flush from another room, woke me with a start twice, however, the bed was just sooooo comfy it was amazing! Basic continental breakfast, but again, it was enough to fuel our drive home. Would deffo stay again!
Great staff, personable and professional. Helpful in accommodating my husbands medicine which needs to be refrigerated. Surprised there was no mini fridge in the room. First room assigned to us, with an early check in, for an extra 10Eu was incredibly small. Went back to desk and they moved us to a room which we had originally booked, had a double and a single bed. Restaurant on property was clean, convenient, well priced and of great quality. Perfect for an airport hotel with many transient guests.
Alexandra was very prompt in replying to my whatsapp messages.
Great shower. Toiletries provided
Clean place
Extra pillows and towels
Lots of storage
Kitchen had plates, mugs, cooking vessels
Quiet residential location
Bus connections were convenient with the stops at 5 minutes walking distance
Location was very convenient, close to Gatwick on one side and the town centre on the other side.
All you needed was in the studio flat.........
Next time I'm in Crawley, I will stay here for sure
The location for us was excellent as it was only 10 mins walk from our son's house. The hotel was very clean, with good Covid protection in place, the bedroom was a good size, with Aircon, comfortable bed, and very quiet, though it was Sunday night and England had just lost the Euros. Great breakfast included in the price. Certainly stay there again.
It was very pleasant, relaxing and the staff were fantastic. Can't remember the lads name, but there was a young man from Crawley/by way of Madeira-portugal who went over the top in terms of service. This young man is a credit to the hotel! A nicer and more efficient member of staff you really could not meet! Made our short trip seem special!
Fabulous bedroom, with sofa, microwave, fridge, widescreen TV, and bath & shower, plus Aircon, very quiet and spotlessly clean. The staff were great, the receptionist Anastasija helped us with a non hotel related problem which was greatly appreciated. Easy walking distance to Three Bridges railway station for trains or buses to town centre.
staff were very friendly - good customer service, restaurant manger/bar staff, reception. Would definitely recommend and travel back to hotel. I had booked in advance and would do again for good price if in the London Area.
Room was clean, breakfast was lovely - good choice. overall an excellent time at the Hotel.
It was near the airport, staff really helpful and friendly basic hotel and good price. Will use again. They also have a deal with the taxi firm making prices cheaper for customers. Taxi arrived on time to pick us up 445am.
I went to the football at Crawley, which was only a short distance from the hotel. My partner was able to have a treatment in the Beauty Salon and a Spa is available. The golf course on site looked very interesting 😁
Everything went well, the shower was amazing. we have been traveling to Crawley to see family for many years but used different hotels each time. We have now found a hotel we will use again!
My husband and I had to "work from home" and the restaurant was warm and had excellent Wi-Fi.
The hotelier and staff were exceedingly helpful and very much approachable.
Good location for cheap and cheerful pre flight stay. Room comfortable, bathroom ok if a bit dated. Hotel has no facilities for evening meal so be prepared.
