Worn carpets Dirty walls Damaged furniture
location, room facilities.
Bathroom needed updating and standard light did not work so made the room dreary
Location of hotel great for the shops, concert halls , parking ,
It was all fine just the place has a tad old bathroom with dark lightening but it's a minor problem.
Noise at night
Loved the Glass Teapots and Teacups!! Loved the Bathroom floor tiles!! Location was perfect!! Overall a pleasant stay!
The rooms, although clean and tidy looked very dated although we understand that a refurb would not be practical under the circumstances. Shower in one room was difficult to use and one of the TV's didn't work.
The hotel was in a prime location for the Xmas markets & with the rear entrance open such long hours for hotel guests, we were able to come & go as we pleased. Our room wasn't ready for us on our arrival, but the staff on duty allowed us to leave our bags at reception so we were able to go out & familiarise ourselves with the area knowing our luggage was safe.
Only two small points; felt the decor was a bit dated & our room was so hot in the night we were uncomfortable.
1)Cold water not working - had to call maintenence - made me late for a company dinner. 2)Booked a double vroom - Double was 2 singles pushed together - Bad night sleep. 3)Paid Wifi in advance - had to keep calling reception to get new code - very inconvenient. 4)No shower gel or soap in room
Cleaners banging on your door and walking in at 8am..checkout isn't till 11am sort it out
The shower wasn't the best, hard to get consistent temp on the water.
Convenience of the location for the Symphony Hall gig The staff. Great people,
The bed (like sleeping on a brick). The room (way too hot-no temperature controls). The self-service breakfast (simply dreadful). Parking, You have to pay for it and it's a lottery getting a space.
Good location, all mod cons, not too pricey
Breakfast and evening meal were both pretty dull; decor rather dated now
Everything about the hotel, comfort, service, staff, location and food.
Decor need touching up.
I liked the room an the bed
I didn't like we couldn't turn up the heating the room was freezing
Everything about it .The location was brilliant the hotel was clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly .Definitely stay there again .
Excellent central location, ideal for shops, bars, resteraunts entertainment venues etc. Easy to locate, helpfull, polite and friendly staff. My collegues and I agreed that in the event of going to Birmingham again The Copethorne Hotel would be the first choice.
It is based smack bang in the centre of the Christmas market. Have come here for the past four years. Our room overlooked the wheel and the ice rink it was a brilliant view and yet so quiet. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The breakfast is well worth the money.
Unfortunately this time the mattress was old and we both kept rolling into the middle. It was uncomfortable to try and stay on the edges so I didn't fall into the dip. I might add that I havnt had this problem on other occasions when I have stayed here.
location. cleanliness. Decaff coffee available in the room.
location, location, location. very accomodating staff. reasonable restaurant. reasonable car park.
door handle in need of attention. had to ask for a working kettle. carpet was badly worn. shower, no water pressure. needs decorating.
Location. Car parking. Price. Likely to use again if attending a gig at the NIA
Bed too small. Shower too hot. Breakfast service was poor waiting 30 minutes for an omelette
Staff were very helpful and friendly! Offered to keep our bags safe from 9 in the morning until room was ready, which allowed us to visit the market and attend a spa. The following day, they did the same with bags and then carried them out to the car for us. Have been before and will continue to stay. Perfect location for shopping and nightlife so didn't need taxis. Breakfast was lovely and had the choice of buffet continental or freshly cooked breakfast. Thanks!
Hotel could be modernised but that is all.
Hollow fibre pillows very uncomfortable shocking breakfast service no cutlery crockery chipped cups inlaid tables 25 minute wait for drinks
Rooms are looking tired. Bathrooms need a complete overhaul
Good Location, nice room, good view of the Christmas market
Breakfast was poor, most items were cold
