Good central location for shopping and the NIA. Hotel clean Staff helpful.
Road noise was bad for me as I'm a light sleeper.
It was very close to nia under 10 minute walk Staff were all friendly
Car park is terrible very small spaces are tight and not many of them with pillars to avoid got in one space then couldn't get out of car due to the smallness of spaces Pipes started rattling at 5am making loads of noise and waking us up
Position, relaxed atmosphere
Wifi should be free in a hotel like this.it is unusual to pay.
Location closevto nia( 10-15 min) walk along canal closevto brindley place and broad street for bars and restaurants
Having to pay 12 pound to park car
Location, comfortable beds ,helpful staff
noisey,no air con..very warm and could not open window due to main road noise.
Nice large room.
Air conditioning unit in room but it was broken, therefore room very warm.
Convenient for NIA
Weak shower but everything else was fine
Location, comfort, breakfast.
great location in centre of Birmingham in walking distance to ICC. theatre and shopping areas
Parking available but can get busy
Rooms very poor, carpet worn and torn, furniture worn out and extremely dated, wallpaper ripped and when showed disappointment to staff were not bothered.
Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Surprisingly quiet for location.
Decor is a bit dated, but cleanliness made up for that!
It did feel like the hotel was trying to save money, the room gave that impression too. The hotel also lacks atmosphere, despite its location, it was very quiet, nothing happening, no buzz. Restaurant and bar area looked quiet, almost dead. Music would have been great, lighting in the restaurant was wrong and it lacked intimacy; in fact some partitions in the restaurant would be great. Some privacy is vital in the restaurant. No one wants to be watched eating or be in full view.... We wanted to eat there then changed our mind when we saw it was lacking a nice, comfortable, appealing, candle lit atmosphere, no art on the walls...., too bright. Still, I would come back. Don't make the price cheaper, just give more value, better pillows, more pillows, more towels, a USB port for music, please include a mini breakfast like coffee and fresh muffins. All the best, shakeel.
No free wifi
Breakfast ok...location good but can be confusing to get there if it is your first time in Birmingham,
They need to update their windows..... Sound proof not good especially for where the location is on a busy roundabout. The room needs updating, furnishings and fixtures all pulling away from the wall, carpet looked run down needs changing or a good clean. For a hotel thst belongs to one of the big groups of hotels in UK their air conditioning system was beyond believe, a stand alone unit that was attached to so many other plugs which just looked like an electrical hazard waiting to happen. This is the first hotel where I had to be charged £1.50 for toothpaste which was half the size of my pinky finger absolutely ridiculous. I guess this hotel needs a lot of updating and mordernising
Friendly staff even after a late arrival, car parking facilities and on-site restaurant with access to ICC. Everything I needed available for the trip
Chinese restaurants food was nice, location good, beds comfortable.
Bathroom in need of attention and next to a noisy busy road.
The walls are too thin, I could hear my neighbours at a whisper!!
The location of the hotel for the purpose of my visit to Birmingham
The default menu of the restaurant. I sat down to lunch and the menu presented to me was for a chinese meal. On request, I asked for something traditionally English. Another menu was provided me which did not offer an attractive choice, but I settled for it.
Ideally situated for the NIA , only a 4 min walk away, also not far from coffee shops and bars. ideal for the cultural part of the city,ie The ICC, Library and Sealife centre.
a bit expensive for food and drink, but Wetherspoons just outside the hotel was ideal
near to car park which was cheaper then hotel rate car park
no parking left at hotel
Great central location nice rooms
Parking charges high on a very busy road so cant have windows open but is quiet when closed
Dirty room with Spiders and cold room no heating
Location was ok, but apart from that nothing!
Room was dirty and noisey! Customer service was dreadful. We were charge for breakfast ever tho we were told it was included. The deputy manager was so unhelpful and rude! Will never go back!!!
